Chapter 114 Companions

Meow~

"Little Black, you're such a good boy. We'll be companions from now on. My name is Daya, what's yours?" Daya patted Little Black's head, looked at the little black cat, and said.

"Meow~" the little black cat said when it heard Daya's words.

"Little Black, I have to go. My sister and master are waiting for my game. What about you? Do you want to come with me?" Daya looked at the little black cat and said.

The little black cat meowed and looked at Daya indifferently.

Seeing that the little black cat did not refuse, Daya took the little black cat with her and left.

About half an hour later, Daya finally returned to the village with the little black cat.

"Sister, I brought back a little goat. Look, isn't it pretty?" Daya called out as she entered the house.

Meow~

The little black cat jumped out of Daya's arms and ran into the yard.

"Xiao Hei, wait for me! Where are you going?" Daya quickly chased after him.

Gu Sang stared in shock at the duo of Daya and Xiaohei. As a modern person, she had once been a proud cat lover.

Their eyes were shining at that moment.

However, she remembered Li Rong, who was injured. "Da Ya, did you hunt any wild game? Your Master Li Rong is still waiting for our food to help her recover."

"Sister, we've already caught them, and there are three big fish too," Daya said, looking at Gu Sang.

"Wow, really? Three big fish? That's great! We're sure to have a good meal this time." Gu Sang exclaimed in admiration.

"Hehe, sister, look at what Xiao Hei brought back." Da Ya said, looking at Gu Sang.

Upon hearing this, Gu Sang looked in the direction Da Ya was pointing.

When she saw the red bloodstain on the wild goat's neck, her face turned liver-colored instantly, and she asked in surprise, "Da Ya, you, you killed a wild goat?"

"Okay." Daya looked at Gu Sang, nodded, and then handed the wild goat to Gu Sang, saying, "Sister, please help me get rid of this wild goat. We'll have this for dinner!"

Gu Sang took the wild goat, looked at Daya, and asked, "How did you kill this wild goat?"

“I found it,” Daya said, looking at Gu Sang.

"You found it?" Gu Sang asked upon hearing this.

"Mm." Daya nodded.

“This wild goat should be a very powerful beast. How did you manage to find such a beast?” Gu Sang asked, looking at Daya.

Meow~

The little black cat heard Da Ya's words, looked at Gu Sang, and meowed twice.

Upon hearing this, Gu Sang looked at the little black cat and said, "Alright, I know. How did you get this little goat?"

“I came out of the mountains and encountered a little goat that was lucky enough to escape the wolf pack’s attack, and then I took it in.”

Upon hearing Gu Sang's words, Daya looked at the little black cat and spoke.

Upon hearing Daya's words, Gu Sang looked at Daya, then at the wild goat lying on the ground struggling, and said, "So that's how it is."

Upon hearing Gu Sang's words, Daya said, "Sister, I'll go wash my hands and then get something to eat. You go and take care of Xiao Hei first!"

"Okay!"

Upon hearing this, Gu Sang nodded, then took the little black cat to take a bath.

Daya looked at the little black cat and said, "Little Black, I saved you today, shouldn't you thank me?"

Meow~

The little black cat looked up at Daya and meowed.

"Hehe, Little Black, do you want me to treat you to meat? Don't worry, as long as you don't mind, you can eat as much as you want!" Daya said, looking at the little black cat.

"Meow!" the little black cat cried out.

"Okay, just a moment!" Daya nodded upon hearing the little black cat's words, and then walked towards the kitchen.

Gu Sang washed the little black cat clean, then wrapped it in a towel and put it in the basin.

“Da Ya, look, we’ve killed this wild goat. Should we prepare lunch now?” Gu Sang asked, looking at Da Ya.

"No need. Let's wash our hands by the stream outside the village, and then we'll prepare lunch. Today, we'll have roasted meat, a whole roasted lamb, and a whole roasted beef by the stream."

"Okay, sure!" Gu Sang replied.

Gu Sang followed Daya out of the courtyard and headed out of the village.

During this time, they also went to see Li Rong, to reassure him and put his mind at ease while he waited. Li Rong did not refuse.

Daya and Gu Sang went to the river, washed their hands, dried their clothes, and then returned to the yard. They took out the hunting tools they had used that morning and began to process the game.

"Sister, we're done. Go check if the pheasant is roasted yet!" Daya said to Gu Sang.

"Okay, go and deal with the wild rabbit, then go wash your hands. We'll eat in a bit," Gu Sang said.

"Okay." Daya nodded quickly upon hearing this.

......

Li Rong rested in the room, sleeping and sleeping until evening, when her stomach started growling with hunger.

"Da Ya, come over here and help me roast some wild game!" Li Rong called out from her bed.

"Coming, coming right away," Daya replied quickly upon hearing this.

"Da Ya, what kind of wild game is this?" Gu Sang asked, holding a skewer of roasted wild rabbit.

“It’s wild goat, sister, you should try it, it must be delicious.” Daya looked at Gu Sang and said with a smile.

"Okay, I'll take care of it first, you go and start the fire!" Gu Sang said with a smile after hearing Da Ya's words.

"Mm." Daya nodded, then turned around and went to start the fire.

"Sister, is it done baking?" Daya asked Gu Sang from in front of the stove.

"Alright, Daya, come and bring over this game. I also grilled some for Xiao Hei," Gu Sang said.

"Okay, I'll be right there." Daya replied with a smile upon hearing Gu Sang's words and quickly walked to the stove.

"Sister, let me carry it!" Daya said, looking at Gu Sang.

"Okay." Gu Sang nodded and handed the rabbit in her hand to Daya.

Daya carried the roasted wild rabbit and walked towards the main room.

As soon as Da Ya brought the roasted rabbit to the main room, she saw Li Rong there, waiting anxiously.

"Sister, Xiao Hei, I've brought the wild rabbit over. Come and eat!" Daya said.

"Da Ya, I'm starving! Bring it to me quickly!" Li Rong said upon hearing this.

"Okay, Little Black, go get it!" Daya said, looking at the little black cat.

Upon hearing this, the little black cat let out two soft meows and ran towards the stove.

Daya brought the roasted rabbit to Li Rong, and Gu Sang also brought a portion.
