"Hmm!" came the woman's reply from the bushes.
"Great! We've finally found Daya!" Li Rong exclaimed excitedly.
Li Rong had just thought that Gu Sang was in danger, but now that Gu Sang has found Daya, it proves that Gu Sang is not in danger, and it also proves that Daya is safe.
Thinking of this, Li Rong breathed a sigh of relief and then looked into the bushes.
"Gu Sang!"
Li Rong was surprised to find that Gu Sang was covered in dust, her clothes were stained with blood, and there were a few withered branches and leaves hanging in her hair.
Li Rong immediately ran over and helped Gu Sang up.
"What happened?" Li Rong's eyes were full of concern. "Gu Sang, how did you get yourself into this state?"
"I'm fine, I'm not hurt, so don't worry about me," Gu Sang said calmly, but Li Rong could tell that Gu Sang's voice was weak, as if she was injured.
It was obvious that Gu Sang was hiding something; she didn't want Li Rong to know that she was injured.
"Gu Sang, let me help you sit down over there. You should rest for a bit. There are many dead leaves on the branches here, and it's quite cold. If you don't get some treatment soon, you might catch a cold," Li Rong said to Gu Sang with concern.
Li Rong did not expose Gu Sang's hidden secret.
"No need, I'm really fine. It's just a minor injury, and I'll be fine in a while," Gu Sang shook her head and refused. Gu Sang didn't want to burden Li Rong because of her injury, after all, Li Rong was a good man.
"Gu Sang, you have wounds on your body, you should treat them first," Li Rong insisted.
"There's no need for that. It's just a minor injury, nothing serious," Gu Sang insisted.
Li Rong wanted to say something more, but Gu Sang interrupted her.
“Li Rong, you don’t need to persuade me anymore. Let’s think about how to leave here with Daya first,” Gu Sang said firmly.
"This..." Li Rong hesitated for a moment, "The environment here is really too bad, it's not suitable for treatment."
"There's no other way. The longer you stay here, the worse it will be for both of you," Gu Sang said calmly. "So, let's leave first."
“Okay!” Li Rong nodded, agreeing with Gu Sang’s suggestion, since what Gu Sang said was correct.
"Alright, let's leave quickly," Gu Sang said calmly.
"Um."
Li Rong and Gu Sang sped forward, Li Rong leading the way while Gu Sang followed behind. Da Ya was carried on Li Rong's back.
Although Daya wasn't heavy, Li Rong found it very strenuous, so he moved very slowly. Gu Sang maintained the same speed, following behind Li Rong to reduce his burden.
"Whoosh"
Li Rong and Gu Sang moved very fast and quickly disappeared into the vast forest.
"Gu Sang, where are we now?" Li Rong asked, turning around.
“We’ve already left this area, but there are other villages nearby,” Gu Sang said calmly. “We’re quite far from where we started, so I think we should leave as soon as possible.”
"All right"
Li Rong nodded.
Li Rong carried Daya on his back and flew forward quickly. After flying for about half an incense stick's time, Li Rong saw a valley appear in front of him.
The green plants and wildflowers in the valley improved Li Rong's mood considerably; at least there was still life here.
"We've arrived."
Li Rong said calmly, "Gu Sang, we are about to enter this valley now."
"Um!"
Gu Sang nodded lightly, and then the two of them walked into the valley.
Along the way, Li Rong looked around, as if searching for something.
Soon, Li Rong's gaze settled on a certain spot.
Gu Sang looked over at the same time.
"Gu Sang, wait here for me a moment. I'll go pick some medicinal herbs for Daya to take. Daya's injuries need treatment," Li Rong said calmly, and then walked towards the valley.
“Okay! Da Ya definitely needs it, thank you Li Rong!” Gu Sang nodded.
Li Rong walked into the valley, squatted down behind a large tree, and picked up a few wild grasses from the ground.
"I'm going to pick some herbs," Li Rong said calmly.
"Yes!" Gu Sang said happily.
"Wait here for me for a moment, I'll be right back." After saying that, Li Rong took the herbs and walked into the valley.
As soon as Li Rong entered the valley, he put down Daya on his back, walked to Daya's side, squatted down, and began to carefully dig up medicinal herbs.
While digging for medicinal herbs, Li Rong kept an eye on his surroundings. Only after confirming that there was nothing unusual did he concentrate on digging for herbs, and beads of sweat had already formed on his forehead.
"Li Rong, how much longer are we going to stay here?" Da Ya's voice rang out.
"I don't know," Li Rong said with a hint of helplessness in her eyes. "We'll be staying here for a while."
"A period of time?"
“Yes, for a while,” Li Rong said calmly. “We don’t know exactly where we are, but I think we have to stay here for a while. The environment here is too harsh, and we don’t know if there is any danger. I have to make sure you are healthy.”
"Mm." Gu Sang's eyes sparkled with gratitude.
Gu Sang and Li Rong stayed in the valley for three days. During those three days, Li Rong and Gu Sang dug up many herbs together, but Li Rong still couldn't find the way home.
"Gu Sang, we've been here for three days now, and there's not a soul in sight. This place is like a deserted valley, and the plants are all overgrown and disorderly. We can't find our way back at all," Li Rong said anxiously.
"I see..." Gu Sang frowned, thinking to herself, "What kind of place is this? Does nobody really know about this place?"
"I think this must be the legendary ancient ruins, right?" At this moment, Gu Sang suddenly spoke up to Li Rong, "Li Rong, now that we've come this far, let's stay here."
“This…” Li Rong hesitated for a moment, “Alright.”
"Gu Sang, since you've decided to stay here, then you should rest well. I'll go out and find some food." After saying that, Li Rong turned and left the cave.
After Li Rong left the cave, Gu Sang closed her eyes and began to rest and recover from her injuries. Although her injuries were not serious, she still needed rest to fully heal.
And so, Gu Sang recuperated in the cave.
Time slipped by unnoticed, and half a day passed in the blink of an eye. Gu Sang's injuries had long since healed.
