Gu Sang felt a chill run down her spine when she heard the middle-aged man's lewd voice. She suppressed the urge to vomit and struggled to her feet. When Yang saw that Gu Sang was about to leave, she rushed over to her.
"Yang, what are you doing!" Yang blocked Gu Sang's way, looking displeased.
"You unfilial grandson! I've raised you for so many years, fed you, clothed you, sent you to school, and provided for your enjoyment. And yet you refuse to acknowledge your ancestors for the sake of a lowly commoner! You are truly an unfilial wretch! Today, I'll skin you alive!"
As soon as Yang finished speaking, Gu Sang felt her arm being grabbed and a slap landing hard on her face. Yang was wearing a thin iron chain on her hand, which firmly bound Gu Sang to the wall, making it impossible for her to escape.
"Yang, I'm warning you, you're not allowed to touch me, or don't blame me for being impolite." Gu Sang's tone carried a hint of threat.
"You dare threaten me? Do you even have the ability now? Master Gao, I'm entrusting my granddaughter to you."
Master Gao agreed with a forced smile, and Madam Yang turned and closed the door before leaving.
The wealthy man rushed towards Gu Sang, but Gu Sang struggled free and slammed one hand into his face.
The wealthy man's face was slapped to the side, and he immediately flew into a rage, tearing at Gu Sang's clothes without thinking twice.
Suddenly, the door was kicked open violently, and Li Rong burst in carrying a stick. She saw Master Gao tearing at Gu Sang's clothes.
He swung the stick and hit Master Gao on the head.
Master Gao, clutching his bleeding head, collapsed to the ground, wailing and cursing, "Who are you? How dare you hit me? Believe me or not, I'll kill you!"
"Go ahead and kill me! Show me what you've got!" Li Rong challenged.
Li Rong didn't waste words with him. She picked up a stick and started hitting Gao Yuanwai hard, one blow after another, cursing as she hit him: "I'll teach you to bully people."
Master Gao lay on the ground, letting out a shrill scream.
Li Rong got tired and stopped attacking.
"Gu Sang, are you alright?" Li Rong squatted down and asked Gu Sang anxiously about her injuries.
"It's nothing," Gu Sang said, shaking her head.
“Then I’ll help you to the bed to rest for a while. This scumbag is too evil; his face is truly ugly.” Li Rong helped Gu Sang move towards the bed. Yang Shi and Gu Sang’s mother stood outside the door. Watching Li Rong help Gu Sang, Yang Shi’s face turned ashen.
"Men, seize them!"
Li Rong was instantly surrounded by several burly men.
"Stop." Seeing Li Rong's bruised and swollen face, Madam Yang felt a surge of satisfaction. She smiled smugly, thinking to herself, "Let's see how you run now."
Yang's smile caught Gu Sang's eye, and her eyes were filled with resentment and unwillingness.
At this moment, the bruised and swollen-faced rich man Gao stood up and said, "Lock him up in jail."
"Yes, sir," the burly man replied.
These burly men were elite soldiers transferred from the government office. They were highly skilled in martial arts, each of them knew kung fu, and they were well-trained. Li Rong was no match for this group of men and was quickly captured. The burly men carried Li Rong toward the prison.
"I'm going to report this to the authorities." Gu Sang stomped her foot angrily as she looked at Li Rong, who was locked in a cell.

Just then, a carriage drove up from a distance to the prison.
A guard lifted the curtain, and a young man wearing a long robe embroidered with gold thread walked out. The man had delicate features, narrow eyes, a high nose, and thin, knife-cut lips. He was tall and slender, with fair skin and a handsome appearance. He wore a white fox fur coat, a white jade pendant around his waist, and held a folding fan. He had a noble and refined demeanor.
"Greetings, Your Highness the Crown Prince." Upon hearing this, the wealthy man Gao hurriedly came out to pay his respects.
"No need for formalities," the Crown Prince said politely.
"Thank you, Your Highness."
"No need for formalities." The Crown Prince walked to the side of Master Gao, tapped his head with his folding fan, and said with a smile, "Master Gao, my good uncle, you have really disappointed me." The Crown Prince spoke with a tone of regret.
"Your Highness, I am innocent! I know nothing about this!" Master Gao hurriedly explained, fearing that he would anger the Crown Prince and have him killed in a fit of rage.
"Oh? Did I wrong you?" The Crown Prince looked at Master Gao, his face still bearing a gentle smile, but it sent a chill down one's spine.
"Your Highness, I am innocent! I am innocent!" Master Gao hurriedly begged for mercy.
