Jiang Yuwei tidied up the courtyard early, arranged the day's work for Ning Wu, Tie Zhu, and Ning Daya, left Ning Wan at home to play with Ning Daya, and then called Ning Huaizhi and Ning Zhao to drive the oxcart to the academy.

Jiang Yuwei had already arrived at the teacher's study when she heard an old woman inside cursing:
