This series of combined attacks dealt a heavy blow to Jiang's new factory before it even hit the market. Although their "Pearl Beauty Cream" was cheaper, it paled in comparison in both packaging and efficacy, resulting in dismal sales.
One week later, Shen Mingzhi was working overtime in her office when the phone suddenly rang.
"Shen Mingzhi," Jiang Huanyu's cold voice rang out, "you're ruthless."
Shen Mingzhi chuckled, "Mr. Jiang, you flatter me. We're even."
"Don't be so smug," Jiang Huanyu gritted his teeth, "we'll see."
Hanging up the phone, Shen Mingzhi breathed a long sigh of relief. She had won this battle. But she knew that the war in the business world was never-ending, and even greater challenges lay ahead.
When Jiang Shaozhen came to pick her up, he noticed that she didn't look well.
"What's wrong?" he asked with concern.
Shen Mingzhi shook her head. "It's nothing, just a little tired."
Jiang Shao Chen took her hand. "Take a day off tomorrow and spend time with the children."
Shen Mingzhi nodded. She had indeed neglected her family while being busy with work lately.
The next day was the weekend, and Shen Mingzhi slept in, which was unusual for her. When she woke up, she found that Jiang Shaozhen and the children were not home.
She had just finished washing up when she heard laughter coming from the yard. She opened the window and saw Jiang Shaozhen playing with the two children on the newly bought slide, while Jiang Qing and Jiang Guofu sat beside them, watching with smiles.
Sunlight bathed them, creating a warm and beautiful scene. Shen Mingzhi leaned against the window, a smile unconsciously playing on her lips.
Just then, Jiang Shao Chen looked up and saw her, waving at her, "Did you sleep well?"
Shen Mingzhi nodded. "Very good."
