Chapter 30 is sweet.

Chapter 30 is sweet.

Xia Zhen also finished her meal at the cafeteria early today and ran back to the classroom. She moved her stool and squeezed next to the boy.

When he looked over, she looked back at him confidently, "There's no one in the classroom right now."

So she can openly and honestly be intimate with him.

Lu Jin softened his expression, seemingly genuinely helpless.

Xia Zhen glanced at his lunchbox. He always ate mostly plain rice and hardly touched the side dishes. She took a pink, semi-transparent plastic box out of her bag and placed it on the table. "My dessert today is strawberries!"

Big, red strawberries are cute and look incredibly appetizing.

Xia Zhen handed the box to him. "Open it for me."

Lu Jin said, "Do it yourself."

"I can't open it."

He remained silent.

She looked at him pitifully, refusing to look away.

He sighed, reached out and took the plastic box, easily opened the lid, and handed it to her.

Xia Zhen didn't rush to take it, but instead carefully examined each strawberry in the box from the hand he was holding.

Lu Jin suspected that she wasn't even this attentive when listening to lectures.

After the young lady had looked over it thoroughly, she picked up the largest strawberry, took a bite of the strawberry tip, and as the juice spread in her mouth, she frowned, and her whole face seemed to wrinkle.

He asked, amused, "Sour?"

"Sour!" Xia Zhen nodded, then used her other hand to pick up another strawberry and brought it to his lips. "Super sour!"

Lu Jin opened his mouth, and when he tasted the strawberry, he said, "It's sweet."

"How could that be? It's clearly sour. Did I just have bad luck and picked a sour one?" Xia Zhen was unconvinced. She took another strawberry and handed it over. "This one is definitely sour."

Lu Jin looked at her.

She urged, "Why don't you give it a try?"

He couldn't persuade her otherwise, but after tasting the strawberry, he still said, "It's sweet."

"I don't believe I'm that unlucky to get the sour one. Lu Jin, try again..."

He grabbed the girl's other hand and ate the half-eaten strawberry she was holding.

Xia Zhen stopped moving, her eyes filled with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

The boy licked away the juice from the corner of his lips with the tip of his tongue. His pink tongue added a touch of moisture to his pale lips, making them look especially alluring.

She suddenly found him very sexy.

He gently licked away the juice from her fingertips, and the moment his warm tongue touched her skin, she trembled slightly.

The boy's eyes curved slightly, like a lazy cat, "Zhenzhen, it's sweet."

Was he talking about strawberries, or about a person?

Xia Zhen felt a little thirsty and her heart was pounding.

This time, it was his turn to pick up a strawberry and bring it to her lips.

Xia Zhen took a small bite.

He asked, "Is it sweet?"

She covered her face, "Sweet."

It's not only sweet, but also cloyingly sweet.

Good heavens, how come she never realized this boy was so good at flirting before!

Actually, there weren't any sour strawberries in this box. Lu Jin knew very well why she had pretended to say they were sour in the first place.

“Zhenzhen”.

"Um?"

Xia Zhen was biting into a strawberry, her cheeks puffed out a little. He thought she looked like a hamster, so he reached out and pinched her cheek. "I'll be good to you."

Xia Zhen glared at him.

Who would say they're good to her while pinching her cheeks?!

The first class in the afternoon is the easiest time to feel sleepy. Even if Teacher Wen makes the Chinese class more interesting, it can't change the fact that some people can't muster their energy.

Xia Zhen yawned listlessly, propped her chin up with one hand, and dozed off. When the boy gripped her hand slightly harder, she instantly woke up. Not only that, she sat up straight and became very serious.

Looking down again, she saw that someone had already taken notes for her in the book.

She looked at him with teary eyes, deeply moved.

Lu Jin, however, seemed oblivious to her gaze. He looked straight ahead, seemingly unaware of how adorable the girl beside him was.

Xia Zhen pouted.

The Chinese class was originally scheduled for the morning, but because Ms. Wen had something to do, the class time was switched with the afternoon physics class. Not long ago, their class had written an essay, and as always, Ms. Wen asked the students who wrote well to stand on the podium and read their essays aloud.

Naturally, top student Su Nuo once again stood proudly on the podium.

After he finished reading his essay, Ms. Wen led the applause and said with a smile, "Su Nuo's essay is very well written. He focuses on inconspicuous little things in life, thereby reflecting the social changes of the past ten years. His article does not have any fancy words, but it is very interesting to read..."

Teacher Wen's comments seemed to be endless. Su Nuo must have heard these words of praise many times before, so he stood on the podium as calmly as ever.

Xia Zhen touched her chin with interest.

Was it just her imagination?

She felt that Su Nuo seemed unexpectedly reserved when standing next to Teacher Wen.

This boy, who is hailed as a top student, is said to have never been stage-frightened when he represented his school in a district-level speech contest.

A lingering gaze fell upon her.

Xia Zhen paused slightly, then quickly looked away, focusing her gaze on her nose and mind, no longer glancing at the other boys.

Ms. Wen finally finished her comments. She smiled at Su Nuo and said, "Thank you for your wonderful sharing. Please go back to your seat."

Su Nuo nodded and silently returned to her seat.

Can't I look at men, but I can't look at women?

Xia Zhen turned her gaze to the teacher on the podium.

She was a young female teacher. Although she had not graduated for long, she was very capable and had always been a key student the school was cultivating. She was not the kind of stunning beauty that would catch your eye, but she had a great temperament. Especially when she smiled gently, she made people feel particularly warm, as if a warm current could flow into people's hearts.

Su Nuo was also listening to the lecture very attentively, so attentively that he didn't even move his pen.

It was full of pretentiousness.

Xia Zhen smiled, her lips curving upwards.

On the way home from school, Lu Jin heard her humming an off-key song, but he didn't mind. Instead, he said gently, "You seem very happy today."

"Because I discovered something very interesting."

Seeing her mysterious demeanor, Lu Jin didn't press her for details.

She couldn't hold back any longer, "Why don't you ask me what's wrong?"

He said slowly, "Anything that makes you happy must be a good thing."

Therefore, he didn't need to ask what it was.

Xia Zhen suddenly felt even happier. She hadn't realized before that he was quite good at making people happy.

They arrived at their floor, and Xia Zhen pushed him out of the elevator. She bent down and leaned closer to him, smiling, "Lu Jin, see you tonight."

He smiled slightly and replied softly, "Okay."

Lu Jin didn't return to the Lu family home until Xia Zhen went inside. The moment the door closed, someone behind him smiled kindly, "So, your beautiful classmate is our neighbor."

Lu Jin's gaze darkened slightly, and he turned around.

Lu Ci asked with a smile, "Why didn't you tell me about this, brother?"
