Chapter 8 Seduction

Chapter 8 Seduction

As soon as the school bell rang, Ms. Wen spent a few more minutes finishing the evening meeting. She then announced that school was over, and all the students in the classroom rushed out in a rush.

They either have to squeeze onto the bus to go home or walk home, so they don't want to stay at school for even a minute longer once school is over.

But Xia Zhen has been driven to and from school by a driver all these years, so she is not in a hurry and packs her schoolbag slowly.

But there was someone even slower than her, and that was the boy who was still reading a book in his seat.

Compared to those who hang out with their friends, shouting about going home to play games, he was as quiet as if he were in another world.

Xia Zhen looked out the window. The sun had not yet set. The afterglow of the sunset was just right for ordinary people, but it was still too dazzling for him.

Just as Xia Zhen was about to say something, another person's voice came from the doorway.

"Lu Jin."

Xia Zhen turned around and looked over.

When the boy standing at the door saw Xia Zhen's face, his eyes lit up with amazement. He smiled kindly and said, "I've never seen you before. You must be the new transfer student in Class 1 of Senior 3. Hello, I'm Lu Ci from Class 1 of Senior 2."

Xia Zhen then looked at the people beside her.

Lu Jin had already put down his book and was staring blankly at the person who appeared at the classroom door.

Lu Ci is a handsome boy with a very approachable smile, which is why he is very popular with girls at school.

Lu Ci took a step forward.

Xia Zhen suddenly said, "The teacher said that students from other classes are not allowed to enter our classroom."

Lu Ci stopped in her tracks.

Xia Zhen's clean and beautiful eyes were full of innocence. She looked just like those obedient girls who were used to listening to their teachers and parents.

Lu Ci returned to his original position and said with a somewhat embarrassed smile, "I'm sorry, I was just too concerned about my brother's health, so I was a little anxious."

Xia Zhen looked at Lu Jin again, "You two are brothers? You don't look alike at all."

Lu Jin is an albino. If Lu Ci looked like Lu Jin, what would happen?

Lu Ci was speechless for a moment.

Lu Jin said, "Aren't you leaving?"

He said this to Xia Zhen.

Lu Ci greeted everyone with a smile as always, but his smile carried a hint of apology. "My brother just rarely interacts with people, but he absolutely meant no harm. Please forgive him."

good.

In the presence of the refined and polite Lu Ci, Lu Jin appears to be an unapproachable and impolite person.

"Don't worry, I won't misunderstand." Xia Zhen smiled innocently, "Lu Jin is just easily embarrassed, he won't mean any harm."

Just how naive is this girl to realize that Lu Jin can be shy!

Lu Ci was once again speechless, and could only laugh awkwardly a few times, "That's good."

Lu Jin's pale eyes were calm, but his hand resting on the table unconsciously gripped the edge of the table.

Xia Zhen seemed to get along very well with Lu Ci, and her smile grew even brighter. "Are you here to go home with Lu Jin?"

Lu Ci glanced at the boy in the wheelchair and nodded gently, "Yes, with my brother like this... I'm worried about him going back alone."

Xia Zhen smiled sweetly, "You two have such a good relationship."

Lu Ci smiled and said, "Of course, we are brothers, so of course we should help each other."

A beautiful girl and a handsome boy stood chatting happily under the setting sun. Anyone who saw them couldn't honestly say that they looked very mismatched.

They're a perfect match.

Why did he suddenly think of this word?

As Lu Jin listened to them exchange names, they talked about their studies and hobbies. She felt like they were old friends who had met too late, and her enthusiasm for him was even greater than before.

Lu Jin sat alone in the corner, unable to find an opportunity to interject, nor any reason to do so.

He lowered his eyes, the white ends of his hair slightly obscuring them.

He didn't know what he should do or where he should look. When he realized it, he found that he had been staring at a shadow on the ground.

This is the shadow of a girl.

Later, the sun set, and her shadow disappeared as well.

His eyes suddenly became empty.

Like a calm lake that has suddenly lost its reflection of the sky.

The girl's voice came through, "It's so late, I need to go home."

Lu Ci seemed a little reluctant, "If you'd like to chat some more, senior..."

"No, no, let's talk again next time." Xia Zhen pointed to the window and said playfully, "The sun has already gone off duty. If I go back any later, it will be dark."

The sun is gone, the sunlight...

Lu Jin's heart suddenly felt as if it had been struck by an electric current.

The girl was about to say goodbye to him, "Lu Jin, classmate."

His lowered eyes were forced to lift as if compelled by the sound of that voice.

Xia Zhen's eyebrows curved, her eyes sparkling, and her eyes, like autumn water, were full of smiles. She waved her hand and said with a smile, "See you tomorrow."

Her upturned eyes and the soft tone of her voice seemed to be trying her best to seduce him.

Lu Jin stopped gripping the edge of the table, and a hint of panic appeared in his eyes.

He lowered his head, not even having the courage to reply with a simple "hmm".

Like a small animal that had fled from the forest in panic after being caught in a hunter's food trap, he was now back in the forest, hurriedly trying to hide himself.

Xia Zhen also said goodbye to Lu Ci. She carried her light schoolbag and walked briskly out of the classroom.

It was getting late, and only two boys remained in the classroom.

Lu Jin was quietly tidying up the textbooks on his desk when several workbooks were suddenly thrown onto it.

Lu Ci patted Lu Jin on the shoulder and said with a smile, "I made plans to go out with my friends today, so I'm leaving these assignments to you. If it weren't for me, Mom and Dad wouldn't have agreed to keep that little wildcat around."

Lu Jin silently put the exercise books into his schoolbag. This wasn't the first time he'd done this, so there was no reason to hesitate.

"I was saying, that girl named Xia Zhen..." Lu Ci's tone was full of interest, "I heard her family is very rich, is that true?"

Lu Jin tightened his grip on the schoolbag, his knuckles turning almost pale from the force. After a moment, he relaxed his grip. "I'm not familiar with her."

After saying that, he turned his wheelchair around Lu Ci, walked out of the classroom, and just happened to brush past a few high school boys with their arms around each other's shoulders.

The boys glanced at the person in the wheelchair, and one of them teased Lu Ci as he walked out of the classroom, "Lu Ci, are you just going to let your brother go back like this? Aren't you going to help him?"

Lu Ci smiled and said, "He has a strong sense of self-respect and has been independent since he was a child. He won't allow us to help him."

Someone with inside information said, "I heard a really pretty girl transferred to their class and is now his deskmate? Can that girl handle it?"

Lu Ci smiled and said, "I just chatted with that girl for a while. She was able to accept being Lu Jin's deskmate, perhaps because she is kind and sympathizes with him."

Another person laughed even more mercilessly: "If you ask me, there's nothing wrong with having a disabled person in the class. At least the classroom has been on the first floor every year to accommodate him, so everyone in the class can be the first to leave the school after school."

"That makes sense!"

"Yeah, how come I never thought of that before? Hey, why don't you sacrifice yourself and become disabled to get some benefits for our class?"

"Get out of here!"

Listening to the noisy chatter of his cronies, Lu Ci found it all amusing. He was just a cripple; the most he could offer was probably to make people laugh.

Dusk fell through the windows into the corridor.

The boy in the wheelchair never turned around to look at the group of people talking about him. He gently placed his hand on the pocket of his school uniform, and the soft sound of plastic packaging bags rubbing against each other could be heard.

It was just a small noise, yet it drowned out the commotion behind them.

What's even stranger is that this little noise was so pleasant that it made his palms feel hot.
