Chapter 6 Discovery of Wild Boars

Liu Dashan kicked it hard.

Beside him, the frail woman, Xiao Yao, and the pitiful little girl, Liu Xiaoyun, had fallen together. Upon seeing this, Xiao Yao immediately rushed over and shielded Liu Xiaoyun in her arms, crying out, "Don't hit my daughter!"

"What good is it of me to marry a slut like you? Ever since you married me, all you do is put on that sour face and give birth to such a useless thing!"

Xiao Yao was a well-known beauty in their village. When she was sixteen, she was spotted by Liu Dashan, who was seven years older than her, and he forcibly took her back to be his wife.

Little Yao was trembling all over, her small body covered in bruises.

Just then, a sharp-eyed member of the group noticed movement in the woods: "Look, there's a wild boar!"

"Wow, such a big wild boar, all meat on its body, we can eat it for a long time!" Faced with such a 'delicious treat from heaven', many people drooled, but dared not provoke it.

That's a wild boar after all; if you're not careful, you could lose your life.

Liu Dashan didn't care about that. He picked up Xiao Yaoshi and Liu Xiaoyun from the ground, took the hunting bow and arrows, and went into the woods.

"Is Liu Dashan any good?"

"Who knows? But why bring a child along when hunting?"

The villagers were puzzled, and Mo Qianshang also sensed something was wrong. Could it be that Liu Dashan wanted to use Liu Xiaoyun and the others as bait?

Many villagers got up, wanting to go and see what was going on.

Liu Dashan followed the wild boar's tracks and suddenly noticed movement in the bushes.

Liu Dashan drew his bow and nocked an arrow, and with a 'whoosh,' shot it towards the wild boar's rump.

The wild boar was grazed by an arrow on its rump and immediately became alert, darting deep into the forest, unwilling to reappear.

"What a pity! If it hadn't missed, that arrow would have hit its target!"

"Wild boars aren't so easy to shoot."

The villagers sighed in dismay. Just then, Liu Dashan shoved Liu Xiaoyun away and slashed her arm with a knife. Liu Xiaoyun screamed in fright and immediately started crying, "Shut up! If you can't lure that beast out today, you're dead!"

Liu Dashan's words made everyone gasp.

"Liu Xiaoyun is his own daughter! Has Liu Dashan gone mad?!"

Even tigers don't eat their cubs...

Liu Xiaoyun cried helplessly all by herself, her voice gradually becoming hoarse. Mo Qianshang and the four children hid in the shadows, carefully observing.

"Mother, what if Liu Xiaoyun..." Qin Zixuan stopped mid-sentence, looking at Mo Qianshang with teary eyes.

"Shhh."

Mo Qianshang gestured for the children to be quiet.

The forest trembled, and the wild boars that had already left, smelling the blood, turned back.

As the enormous beast drew ever closer, Liu Xiaoyun's legs went weak, and she forgot how to walk. Beside her, Little Yao, her eyes bloodshot, rushed towards her without hesitation. The wild boar's massive tusks ripped through Little Yao's clothes on the back, leaving two deep, bloody gashes.

"mother!"

Liu Xiaoyun cried uncontrollably in Xiao Yao's arms.

On the mountain, Liu Dashan saw a wild boar that was starving and went mad, and was so frightened that he forgot how to draw his bow.

Everyone felt a chill; if this continued, Liu Xiaoyun and Xiao Yaoshi would be dead!

Although Mo Qianshang was not a saint, she couldn't bear to watch two people die in front of her. She glanced at the children beside her and said, "Heming, protect your younger brother and sister."

Having said that, Mo Qianchang quickly stepped forward with her knife in hand.

"Hiss—Is Mo Qianshang out of her mind?"

Mo Qianchang moved with the grace of a phantom, her sharp Swiss Army knife striking the wild boar squarely in the eye. The boar let out a long howl in pain and retreated repeatedly.

"You all go quickly!" Mo Qianshang said, then bent down and stepped forward again.

The wild boar was enraged and charged at Mo Qianshang, pawing at its front hooves!

"mother!"

The four little ones gasped in unison, and some of the timid women covered their eyes, unable to bear to look.

The four children watched all this with anxiety, their hearts filled with worry for Mo Qianshang. Xiao Yaoshi and Liu Xiaoyun looked in Mo Qianshang's direction with trembling fear, their hearts filled with regret.

If it weren't for saving them, Mo Qianshang wouldn't have perished...

Just then, a figure jumped out.

She was covered in blood, and the next second, the wild boar let out a mournful cry and fell heavily to the ground.

"Mo, Mo Qianshang is alright?!"

"A close-quarters fight with a wild boar... Mo Qianshang is too fierce..."

"Is this...is this even human?"

"Mom, are you alright?" Although they had seen her subdue human traffickers before, they did not expect their mother to be so powerful. The four little ones surrounded Mo Qianshang with surprise and admiration.

Still shaken, Little Yao blinked, realizing she was saved, and knelt before Mo Qianshang, clutching Liu Xiaoyun: "Thank you, thank you..."

“No need.” Mo Qianshang shook her head. She suddenly raised her eyes and glanced sharply at Liu Dashan not far away.

The villagers also realized what was happening and pointed at Liu Dashan, cursing:

"That damned beast, he actually pushed his own daughter to her death, does he have no conscience at all?"

"Yeah, how did something like this end up in our village..."

“People like him should die. Xiaoyun is such a good child, how did she end up with such a father?”

Liu Dashan, humiliated by the scolding, gritted his teeth and retorted, "It's all because you stole all the food I had on me!"

"That's because you yourself are morally corrupt!" Mo Qianshang looked at him with a mocking expression.

Liu Dashan froze, reaching out to pull Xiao Yao away.

With a strength she didn't know she possessed, Xiao Yao flung Liu Dashan's hand away and glared at him angrily: "I want a divorce!"

"You little bitch, how dare you!" Liu Dashan raised his hand to hit her, but Mo Qianshang stopped him with her hand. The Swiss Army knife slammed into Liu Dashan's head with a thud, scaring him into instantly becoming obedient.

"You, you... what are you going to do!"

Although Mo Qianshang was petite, she exuded a domineering aura. The intense pressure made Liu Dashan breathless, and his legs trembled with fear, causing him to squat down uncontrollably.

"roll."

Teaching such a piece of trash a lesson would only dirty her hands.

Startled, Liu Dashan abandoned Xiao Yaoshi and Liu Xiaoyun and scrambled away.

Upon seeing this, Madam Yao and Liu Xiaoyun knelt before Mo Qianshang, saying, "We are eternally grateful for your life-saving grace!"

Madam Yao bowed and kowtowed three times: "I am just a woman with no skills. My family has been practicing medicine for generations and we know some medical skills. If you don't mind, please take me and Xiaoyun with you. We only ask for food."

She knew very well that this escape route was fraught with danger, and that they would not survive without someone to protect them and their children.

If you want someone to take shelter, you have to offer something in exchange.

Mo Qianshang raised an eyebrow; this was an unexpected delight.

"Can."

"Since you've studied medicine, do you recognize all the herbs? In the future, I can share 20% of the food I hunt with you, but you have to help me gather herbs, how about that?" Although she has a system that can help identify what grows on the road, it's still troublesome. Having someone knowledgeable to assist her would make things much smoother.

“Okay.” Little Yao nodded without hesitation.

After she finished speaking, disregarding her injuries, she began searching for usable herbs nearby.

Mo Qianshang approached the wild boar. She didn't intend to eat such a large piece of meat all by herself. After tearing off two hind legs and handing them to Qin Heming, Mo Qianshang looked at the villagers and said, "I can't eat this wild boar myself. Anyone who wants it can trade it with something they have on them."

The surrounding villagers were overjoyed.

Although money was worthless at this time, each household still had some savings, and they were willing to take them out to exchange with Mo Qianshang in order to have a bite of meat.

After taking the antiques from them, Mo Qianshang distributed wild boar meat of corresponding sizes to them according to the price of the antiques.

Having received the benefits, the villagers became increasingly accepting of Mo Qianshang, while Liu Dashan gritted his teeth in resentment, having not received even a single pig hair.

After dividing the wild boar meat, Xiao Yaoshi and Liu Xiaoyun returned.
