Chapter 49 A Condition

"Impossible! My sister isn't as bad as you say. She's very good to me!" Liu Xiaoyu retorted without hesitation, but her words clearly lacked conviction.

"If you want to deceive yourself, I won't stop you. There's no point in talking to you now. You might as well think carefully about what you've experienced in the last two days before you talk to me."

You can never wake someone who is pretending to be asleep, so Mo Qianshang was too lazy to say anything to provoke her. She simply got up and continued to observe the situation in the cave.

She hadn't had much time before, and was in a hurry to save Liu Xiaoyu, so she hadn't had a chance to properly look at the cave.

Now, the stone cave seems ordinary, but there are some special characters carved on it. Even though Mo Qianshang's soul came from the modern world, she still finds those characters very unfamiliar and can only temporarily memorize them.

Perhaps one day in the future, she will have the opportunity to meet someone who recognizes these characters.

Hopefully, these words won't bring her any trouble...

Just as Mo Qianshang regained her composure, Liu Xiaoyu, who had been silent for a long time, murmured and spoke.

"My sister... she really did, like you said, wait until it was almost dark before she came looking for me?"

Mo Qianshang was too lazy to answer the question she already knew the answer to. She just gave her a look that said, "Figure it out yourself," and continued to pace around the cave to investigate.

Unfortunately, the cave was explored in a glance, and there were no extraordinary encounters like those described in martial arts novels from my previous life. Not only were there no martial arts manuals, but there wasn't even a trace of gold or silver treasure.

It's really a bit disappointing.

Mo Qianshang took a deep breath, just as she was about to give Liu Xiaoyu a nudge to make her blockhead come to her senses as soon as possible, when she suddenly heard a faint gurgling sound of flowing water.

Just listening to it brings a refreshing feeling to my heart, and the image of a clear stream meandering through the wilderness naturally comes to mind.

The little guy beside it also had excellent hearing. Without Mo Qianshang saying anything to it, it followed the sound of water and went outside on its own. Its four short legs were light and agile, without attracting Liu Xiaoyu's attention at all.

Knowing that some things require personal reflection and that outsiders' opinions are useless, Mo Qianshang hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow the little leopard out to find water.

The cave fell silent, save for Liu Xiaoyu's soft sobs.

She always knew her sister didn't like her, and she tried her best to be more obedient and sensible. She helped her sister with everything, even her own reputation, as long as her sister was happy.

She didn't tell Liu Xiaolan that day that both families already knew about her frequent meetings with Liu Shuda and their exchange of gifts.

But this wasn't exactly something worth publicizing, so both sides tacitly told them not to talk about it.

Liu Xiaoyu was threatened because of this, but she just wanted to give Liu Xiaolan and herself a plausible reason.

But why... can't my sister like her even a little more? She doesn't even care that she might be killed by wild beasts in the mountains!

She couldn't understand it, and didn't want to understand it anymore, so she simply lay down and went back to sleep.

Unexpectedly, she lay down too hastily and didn't notice that something had pricked her neck. She instinctively took out the thing that had pricked her.

It turned out to be a note left by Mo Qianshang earlier.

The document clearly states Mo Qianshang's identity and the actions taken by the villagers after her disappearance.

When she saw that Liu Xiaolan's first action upon returning home was not to call her parents to go up the mountain to look for her, but to join the village chief's family in causing trouble for Mo Qianshang and his group, two lines of tears silently slid down her thin face...

That day, when she went to the toilet, she heard a rustling sound like a snake crawling. She wanted to ask her older sister, Liu Xiaolan, for help, but considering that her sister was also afraid of snakes, she quietly changed to another place.

Unexpectedly, she had such severe diarrhea that she felt weak. After using the toilet, she rushed back and, without realizing it, fainted and rolled into a trap set by a hunter.

She was lucky; the bamboo spikes in the trap had all been removed, and there were some depressions that made it easier for her to climb out.

After finally climbing back to flat ground, it was already pitch black. There were only strange noises around her. She dared not wander around, but she had no choice but to grope her way down the mountain.

For some reason, she inexplicably fell into the bamboo forest, but luckily she met Mo Qianshang.

Otherwise, with those steep cliffs, she would truly have no way to survive.

Thinking about all this, Liu Xiaoyu had to admit that Liu Xiaolan really didn't take her, her younger sister, seriously.

If that's the case, why does she continue to treat the other person as a good older sister?

She clenched her fists tightly and then released them, as if she had made a great decision, and slowly walked out of the cave, holding onto the edge of the bed and the stone wall.

It wasn't that she didn't want to move quickly, but her legs ached as if they had been hit by a hammer. The fact that she could walk this fast was already a testament to her perseverance.

Hearing footsteps behind her, Mo Qianshang filled the bamboo tube with water in her hand and asked without turning her head.

"Have you thought it through?"

"Mm." Liu Xiaoyu nodded gently, staring nervously at Mo Qianshang's slender yet inexplicably unapproachable back.

"You said you'd take me back later, is that true? This cliff..."

"These are not things you should worry about," Mo Qianshang interrupted her in a deep voice, glancing at her with cold eyes.

"I'm sure you've already seen the note I left for you."

"Then you should know that after I take you back, the matter of your disappearance will be brought up again, and other people will ask you how you disappeared. Have you thought about what you're going to say?"

"I...I haven't thought about it yet..." Liu Xiaoyu's voice was so soft it was barely audible, and she didn't dare to look up at Mo Qianshang.

Hearing this answer, Mo Qianshang was neither surprised nor disappointed. After all, she had been indirectly CPU'd by Liu Xiaolan for so long. If she suddenly said that she would stand up and criticize Liu Xiaolan, she would doubt the truthfulness of Liu Xiaoyu's words.

The current reactions are more authentic.

"It's alright. You'll need to rest for at least a few more days before you can move. You can take your time to think about it."

"Even if your final answer is to continue to favor Liu Xiaolan, I won't say anything to you. But you are someone I went through so much trouble to pull back from the brink of death, so you have to promise me one thing before you go back."

It should be noted that this time, the use of medical equipment and other drugs cost two silver hairpins. Mo Qianshang is not a saint, and naturally she will not save people for free every time.

In particular, this person almost harmed Liu Xiaolan's third child under her instigation.

Liu Xiaoyu couldn't discern anything from Mo Qianshang's calm expression, and felt quite uncertain. But Mo Qianshang was indeed her savior, so she had no choice but to grit her teeth and nod in agreement.

"Fine, as long as you don't let me go kill people..."

"Stop! Do you think I'm like those bandits from the village before?" Mo Qianshang rolled her eyes at Liu Xiaoyu, a hint of displeasure in her expression.

As a result, Liu Xiaoyu was immediately terrified and trembled all over, as if she were some kind of terrifying monster. She had no choice but to soften her tone and force a smile.

"Don't worry, it's just that you're pretending to be sick for a few more days. I won't let you hurt or harm anyone."
