Shushu remained highly vigilant. The moment she heard the sound of something cutting through the air, she dodged it and moved away from the fake Lu Li.
Only after she stood still did she realize that the ones who had tried to ambush her were not the fake Lu Li at all, but five strangers.
The fake Lu Li that she suspected was now facing off against the five people on the other side all by himself.
Looking at the fake Lu Li standing in front of him, who was protecting him from all sides, with his back completely exposed, he felt utterly vulnerable.
After struggling with the decision for a while, Shushu ultimately decided not to make a move.
After confirming once again that the fake Lu Li could fight five people at once and that he didn't seem to have much killing intent towards the five people who were also supposed to be academy students, Shushu felt relieved and began collecting Dream Grass.
Harvesting the mongli grass was not difficult. Shushu quickly picked all ten or so mature mongli grass plants intact.
Just as she was about to put it away, she turned around and met five pairs of eyes staring intently at the jade box in her hand. One of them even took the time to glare at Shushu several times, trying his best to rush over and snatch it, but was blocked by the fake Lu Li and could not advance an inch no matter what.
Under the resentful gazes of the five men, Shushu also thought about their previous ambush of him. Although it hadn't caused him any harm, Shushu still decided to take a small revenge.
So, instead of putting the jade box away, Shushu stood in a very conspicuous place and deliberately took out each of the dozen or so Dream Grass plants one by one to look at them before putting them back.
This process was repeated several times until the five people's eyes turned red and they looked like they were about to explode. Only then did Shushu slowly put the jade box away.
Then Shushu was no longer afraid of this fake Lu Li and secretly sent him a telepathic message explaining that he would retreat first and let it catch up later.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she sent the message, the fake Lu Li suddenly unleashed his power, waving his sleeve.
He easily flung the five people away, turning them into tiny black dots that vanished from sight in a flash.
Looking at the sky where no one had been seen, Shushu was speechless for a moment.
When he met the seemingly expressive eyes of the fake Lu Li, Shushu couldn't help but cover his eyes.
After thinking for a while, she realized she really couldn't look at him directly anymore, still acting like her senior brother. So she lowered her hands from her eyes, looked at the fake Lu Li, and said.
"Um, let's make a deal, could you please stop acting like my senior brother? I... am not used to it."
As he said this, Shushu's tone was still a little cautious, worried that if he didn't handle things well, the other party would suddenly lash out.
Although it appeared quite harmless in front of her, considering how easily it had thrown away five people at the Nascent Soul stage, Shushu felt it was reasonable for her to be cautious.
Fortunately, things didn't go beyond Shushu's expectations. After hearing her words, the fake Lu Li was first stunned, then stared blankly at Shushu: "You found out."
In response, Shushu nodded, so he asked again, "When did you find out?"
Seeing that he seemed to be just curious and didn't look displeased, Shushu chose to tell the truth: "I noticed it when you said your first sentence."
After speaking, Shushu cautiously glanced at the other party a few more times, carefully observing its expression, while secretly pinching a teleportation talisman in its hand.
Just as Shushu was on edge, he suddenly heard a strange, slightly childlike laugh. The voice did not belong to Lu Li.
Upon hearing this, Shushu immediately understood what the other person meant. His eyes lit up, and he stared intently at that direction without blinking.
Sure enough, the next moment, Lu Li's appearance disappeared in front of her and slowly turned into an androgynous baby.
She was three heads tall, dressed in an exquisite milky white ancient costume, with two small buns on her head, a round face, and bright, lively eyes.
At first glance, Shushu was instantly charmed, and couldn't help but steal another glance before finally asking, "Is this what you look like? How old are you?"
The one who answered Shushu first gave an affirmative nod, then raised its two chubby little hands and pointed at each one, as if confirming something, and then answered Shushu: "A thousand years old."
A thousand? This number almost made the potato do a headstand on the spot. Then he remembered that the other party was probably not human. A human who is a thousand years old could not possibly still be a baby.
So, Shushu looked at the baby opposite him with serious eyes again, wanting to see what kind of spirit beast or divine beast it was.
Unfortunately, whether it was because her cultivation level was too low or the other party was too powerful, Shushu couldn't confirm the other party's identity even after looking for a long time, and Shushu couldn't help but feel a little frustrated.
Just as she was feeling frustrated, a flash of inspiration struck her. She suddenly thought of a mythical beast and, thinking about what the little guy had done before, it seemed that it really did resemble the skills of the other race.
Thinking of this, Shushu glanced at the baby opposite him again and hesitated before asking, "You, are you from the Celestial Fox clan?"
As it turned out, it was true; the baby transformed into a fox the instant the shrew asked the question.
In a flash, it transformed from a baby into a pure white celestial fox, its fox eyes filled with joy as it looked at Shushu and praised him.
"My name is Tian Chen. I knew you could recognize me. Your aura is somewhat familiar. How did you get mixed up with humans? What race are you?"
When he asked this question, Tianchen leaned close to the sorghum and twitched his little nose, as if trying to use his sense of smell to figure out what kind of creature the sorghum was.
As for Shushu, seeing the fox's head approaching, she couldn't resist and grabbed a handful, ruffling Tianchen's fur. Tianchen tilted his little head up, looking at her in confusion.
When Shushu met those big, watery fox eyes, she felt a little guilty and quickly stroked its fur before casually withdrawing her hand.
Just as he was hesitating whether to reveal his identity to the other party, Tianchen changed the subject and started cursing.
"Let me tell you, the dean of this academy is a bad person. He tricked me into coming to this secret realm and told me that the destined person was here. I've been in this secret realm for hundreds of years, but I haven't encountered anything."
Perhaps genuinely angry, Tianchen slammed his fist on the ground as he spoke, instantly creating a deep crater.
Looking at the hole that could easily bury a dozen of her, Shushu shrank its neck and silently shut its mouth, not daring to interrupt Tianchen's grumbling, for fear that it might get agitated and punch itself.
So Shushu was forced to listen to Tianchen scold the dean of Lingxin Academy for most of the hour.
Half an hour later, Tianchen seemed to remember something and turned to ask Shushu: Is Pei Anlan still the dean of Lingxin Academy?
Upon learning that the current dean was Rao Xiuqi, Shushu fell silent.
