Chapter 355 is your father's father

The family hugged and cried for a long time. In the end, it was the father, Shuli, who was the first to control his emotions. He wiped away the tears of the mother and daughter one by one before gently comforting them.

"Okay, stop crying. Today is a good day for family reunion. We should be happy."

Even Shu Chi chimed in, "Yes, yes, good boy!" This was clearly a tone used to coax a child, which made Shu Shu both amused and exasperated, and he gradually stopped crying.

As soon as her crying stopped, Shumai quickly regained his composure, and the family smiled again.

Perhaps it was because they had vented their emotions that the sense of unfamiliarity between them disappeared amidst the crying.

Under the warm gazes of the two mice, Shushu also took the initiative to speak, first calling out "Dad" to Shuli, and then calling out "Mom" to Shumai.

Upon receiving two loud, satisfied "Ah!"s, Shushu felt a warm glow in his heart, feeling very content and joyful.

They looked at each other and smiled, and couldn't help but scrutinize each other closely.

The glutinous rice was alright, but after seeing the glutinous rice's cultivation level, both the glutinous rice and the millet were happy and joyful, but also couldn't help feeling sorry for it.

I'm happy and delighted that my little one is doing well, growing up well and cultivating well; but I also feel sorry for him because he's so young and has such cultivation, I wonder how much hardship he must have endured to get to where he is today.

As they thought about it, the two mice couldn't control themselves any longer, and tears welled up in their eyes again.

Seeing that the two mice were about to look at him and burst into tears again, Shushu could only quickly change the subject and ask, "Father, Mother, how did you know I was here?"

When their child asks a question, the parents naturally have no choice but to answer, so Shuli quickly pulled her wandering thoughts back.

Just as I was about to answer, I was suddenly struck by a loud bang, accompanied by the sound of something breaking.

The sound was abrupt, startling not only the rat but also the other three rats.

Everyone was startled and looked in the direction of the sound. They saw that outside the barrier made of millet and wheat, there was now a phantom image of a treasure-hunting rat.

As they looked over, the phantom calmly retracted its claws.

Clearly, it was it that caused all the commotion just now.

Meeting everyone's gaze, the phantom of the treasure-hunting rat not only showed no guilt, but instead grinned smugly. Then, it opened its mouth and a deep voice resounded throughout the entire cave.

"Shuli, have you found the baby? Bring the baby back quickly."

Upon hearing this, Shushu knew that this was someone he knew. He looked at his father curiously, only to see him staring at the shadowy figure with a dark expression.

The phantom, however, completely ignored his glare, its gaze sweeping over the four treasure-hunting rats present before finally settling on the glutton.

The moment its eyes met those of the yam, its eyes lit up, as if it had identified its target. The entire phantom became extremely excited and charged straight at the yam.

She was happily calling out, "Baby, baby, it's baby, our baby."

His happy expression stunned Shushu, who completely forgot to step back and avoid him.

As the phantom gradually grew larger, Shushu belatedly realized he needed to avoid it.

However, before she could make a move, she discovered even earlier that the illusory figure had stopped, as if it had been pulled back by something and could not advance even an inch further.

Shushu curiously turned her head to look and saw her father firmly holding onto the phantom, controlling it tightly and preventing it from moving forward.

The phantom tried to jump forward several times before realizing something was wrong. It turned its head and tried to scratch the millet, but the millet dodged it with lightning speed.

Not only that, but the millet was also very agile, poking a certain spot on the top of the phantom's head.

The next moment, the phantom slowly disappeared into the air. Shuli turned around and gently rubbed Shushu's head, saying calmly, "It's okay, don't worry about it, it's just an irrelevant rat."

As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his hand and conjured a protective barrier.

Just as it solidified, there was another bang, the barrier shattered, and a phantom image of a treasure-hunting rat, exactly the same as the one that had been scattered earlier, floated smugly in mid-air.

Meeting everyone's gaze, it put its hands on its hips, pointed at Millet, and yelled, "Millet, you rebellious little rat! Who you're talking to doesn't matter, but how dare you talk to your father like that? Old..."

The rest of the words were silenced again, because the illusory figure was swiftly and decisively dealt with by Shu Li.

As if timed perfectly, almost the instant the phantom was killed, another identical phantom flew into the cave.

This time, the phantom was smarter. Before it even entered, it started cursing from afar: "You little rat, how dare you be so disrespectful, you..."

Then, just like the previous two, this new phantom met the same fate and was unsurprisingly killed.

These successive scenes piqued Shushu's curiosity. After the phantom images were repeatedly dispersed, she looked out with bright eyes, wanting to see if there were any more phantom images behind her.

However, whether the phantom was scared or had run out of steam, Shushu waited for a while but didn't see any more phantoms fly in.

Just as I was about to turn around and ask my father who that was, I suddenly realized that it was getting light overhead.

At first, the millet didn't seem to notice anything wrong, but then it dawned on it that something was amiss.

Looking up, good heavens, this time the phantom didn't come in; it changed its route and shaved off the entire cave ceiling.

At this moment, the cave ceiling that had been removed was still being held in the hand of that even more solidified phantom.

Meeting Shushu's shocked gaze, the phantom casually tossed aside the cave roof it had just plucked, and greeted Shushu with a grin.

"Little one, you must be Shushu, right? Let me introduce myself. My name is Shuye, I'm your father's father, that is, your grandfather."

Then, the words stopped again. Well, this time the phantom wasn't dispersed, but it was silenced and couldn't speak either.

Shushu stared in disbelief as the phantom struggled for a while, but it couldn't break free from the silencing spell.

Finally, it glared fiercely at the millet, then smiled kindly at itself, made a gesture that the yam couldn't understand, and then reluctantly disappeared.

After a while, there was still no movement around him. Just when Shushu thought that he really wouldn't come again this time...

Suddenly, a super loud voice, imbued with spiritual energy, came from afar.

"Shuli, take the cub home right now, or I'll really have to come out of the pass to catch you."

"Get the hell out of here."

"Immediately, right now."
