"DouDou, who's coming to our house so early in the morning?" Wang asked, getting up when she heard the knocking.
Yuan Doudou went into the room first, helped Wang Shi out of bed, and comforted her: "It must be something urgent, I'll go and see."
She had a bad feeling.
"Yuan Doudou, something's happened."
As soon as Yuan Doudou unlatched the door, she was met with Li Dahai's flustered face.
"What happened?" It seems her premonition was quite accurate.
Li Dahai wiped his sweat and panted heavily: "The entire greenhouse has collapsed."
As dawn broke, Li Dahai packed his things to go to work. Before he even reached the field, he could see no sign of the greenhouses in the distance. Upon closer inspection, he found that the greenhouses that had stood tall yesterday were now just ruins.
Yuan Doudou was terrified, but quickly calmed down. "Was it done by someone?"
Li Dahai scratched the back of his head and gasped. It really was man-made: "The shelf was sawed in half."
Who exactly is behind this sabotage?
Yuan Doudou followed Li Dahai to the field and looked at the collapsed greenhouses, feeling a tightness in her chest.
She underestimated the evil in human nature.
This is no small matter; it must be reported to the authorities.
Zhou Chuangen, having received the news, also rushed over. "DouDou, have you offended someone?"
In this village, there is only one person who harbors such a deep grudge against her.
On her way here, Yuan Doudou vaguely saw a chubby figure hiding furtively behind a tree.
"I think I know who it is," Yuan Doudou thought to herself, devising a plan.
Soon, government officials arrived, and Fang Deming inspected the scene and found several suspicious footprints.
"Just tell me what you need me to do." Before leaving, the adult gave instructions, leaving Yuan Doudou to do as she pleased.
After thinking for a while, Yuan Doudou confidently offered her countermeasures.
Soon, a new notice was posted at the village entrance, which roughly stated: The province does not recognize greenhouse farming, and today they sent people to dismantle Yuan Doudou's greenhouse, but they did not know that the greenhouse had already been dismantled. They are now looking for this person, and there will be a generous reward.
As soon as the notice was posted, the villagers gathered in a group and discussed it quietly.
In the crowd, Zhuang Shuhui followed An Bihuai, saying excitedly, "See for yourself, I didn't lie to you, did I?"
She heard that the government would offer a large reward for dismantling the greenhouses, so she rushed back to tell An Bihuai. But he didn't believe her and insisted that she was talking nonsense.
After reading it, An Bihuai clapped and cheered excitedly.
"I wonder who this is. They're really acting on behalf of heaven, and they even got a lot of money. They've hit the jackpot."
Zhuang Shuhui covered her face, chuckled, and leaned close to An Bihuai's ear, wanting to tell her husband that she was the one who did the good deed.
"What are you doing? You act like this at home, and you dare to act like this in public? Aren't you ashamed?" You're practically half-buried, yet you still act like a little girl.
Zhuang Shuhui blushed with anger, "I think you just look down on me. Let me tell you, I'm the one who's doing good deeds. Once I get the money, don't even think about spending a single penny."
Seeing his wife gritting her teeth, An Bihuai happily hugged her and gave her a big kiss on her chubby face.
Embarrassed, Zhuang Shuhui covered her cheek and dared not speak.
The person next to them was so spicy they couldn't open their eyes.
Zhou Chuangen stood on a crooked rock, watching An Bihuai and his wife being all lovey-dovey from afar, and felt a wave of nausea.
"Everyone has seen the notice. Who did this? Hurry up and don't keep the officials waiting." Zhou Chuangen shouted at the top of his lungs, afraid that no one would miss it. He just wanted to get the officials away as soon as possible. If they didn't leave before lunch, they would have to spend money on lunch.
He has money but doesn't want to spend it on outsiders.
After Zhou Chuangen finished speaking, everyone looked at each other in bewilderment. It was truly a case of a new broom sweeping clean. Just yesterday he said he would encourage everyone to grow crops in greenhouses, and today he proposed to demolish them. Wasn't this just like children playing house?
An Bihuai couldn't wait any longer. He raised his arm and shouted, "It was me who did this!"
Zhuang Shuhui was shocked that her husband was trying to steal her credit. She immediately rushed in front of him and said, "Village head, he's lying to you. It was me who did the good deed."
Zhuang Shuhui was huge, and she easily pushed the skinny An Bihuai aside, which drew gasps from the onlookers.
Standing next to Zhou Chuangen, Fang Deming remained calm, seemingly confirming that Yuan Doudou was right.
He stepped forward and asked again, "You say you did it, but do you have any proof?"
This question stumped Zhuang Shuhui. She was so focused on causing destruction that she hadn't thought to leave any evidence.
“I took advantage of the fact that no one was around in the middle of the night and used my machete to cut down all the frames on the greenhouse. The machete is in my yard. You may go and see for yourself, sir.”
Yuan Doudou, who was not far away, saw Zhuang Shuhui looking smug and was furious.
Fang Deming gestured for her to be patient and let her explain the crime in public first.
The Party Secretary stood by and wrote down every word of Zhuang Shuhui's statement.
"Why did you do this?" Fang Deming continued to question.
Zhuang Shuhui glanced at Yuan Doudou and sneered, "She's just a little brat trying to get special treatment. I'm not going to let her have her way. All that nice talk about making money together is bullshit."
After saying that, she spat on the ground.
Zhang Aiju had just returned from the fields when she heard Zhuang Shuhui spouting nonsense on stage, and couldn't help but step forward to uphold justice.
Wang Qiqiang pulled her from behind and told her to check the situation first.
"Zhuang Shuhui, when you did these things, did you ever think that it was illegal?" Fang Deming asked in a deep voice.
Zhuang Shuhui laughed heartily: "Sir, of course I know, I'm just so angry."
An Bihuai, sitting below the stage, felt increasingly uneasy. The emperor said he would reward him, but after talking for a long time, he was just questioning him about what had happened.
"Village head, what about the reward you promised?" An Bihua reminded him from below.
