Chapter 173 (1/3)

They waited for almost an hour before Tang Shuo came back.

After he finished the work at hand, the three of them returned to the Meng family together.

Comrade Xing Cui prepared a table full of delicious dishes, and Tang Huan’s most important people ate together around the table.

At the dinner table, Xing Cui mentioned that she heard that the girl was pretty good, and asked Tang Shuo if he had any ideas. She would arrange for them to meet.

Tang Shuo smiled and refused, "Aunt, I'm used to freedom and can't stand being restricted. Getting married is too troublesome."

Xing Cui wanted to persuade him, saying, "What young man wouldn't want to get married?" Meng Qinghe nudged her with his elbow and said, "If a child doesn't want to get married, it's just not their destiny. Don't make things difficult for him."

That was indeed the case. Xing Cui held back her words. She was worried because she treated Tang Shuo as her own junior.

If your child doesn’t want to get married, don’t push him/her for now.

After dinner, Tang Huan and Meng Zeyan sent Tang Shuo home together, and then Meng Zeyan sent Tang Huan to school.

I have to go back to school on Sunday night and attend classes on Monday morning.

The two were forced to separate just one day after their marriage. Meng Zeyan looked at Tang Huan as if he wanted to burn her.

The two married people lived like they were separated. Tang Huan was at school from Monday to Friday. If Meng Zeyan had time on Friday, he would pick her up and take her home. If he didn't have time, she would take the bus home by herself.

He would try his best to make time to go home on weekends, and every time he did, he felt like a new marriage was better than a short absence.

Although the old couple wanted to have grandchildren, they did not urge them to have children. Tang Huan directly told Meng Zeyan that she could not get pregnant in college. She did not want to get pregnant during college, because she would have to take a leave of absence from school to get pregnant, give birth and recuperate.

She was already older than most of her classmates when she started college, and if she delayed any further, she would be quite old by the time she graduated.

Most importantly, she didn't want to be distracted from her studies.

When they were in school, the two lived separately, and during the summer and winter vacations, Tang Huan would live in the military family building for a while.

When the two got married, Meng Zeyan distributed wedding candy to everyone in the family building, and everyone knew that they were getting married.

Tang Huan was not difficult to get along with, and she wouldn't take gossip too seriously unless it was brought to her face. But if someone said something unpleasant to her face, she wouldn't be easily swayed.

Just like her mother-in-law said, she couldn't say or scold anyone, because there was still Meng Zeyan!

After graduating from university, Tang Huan was assigned to work at the Third People's Hospital near the military region, finally realizing her dream of having a stable job.

More and more people call her Dr. Tang.

Except for being on duty at the hospital, she would go back to the military family building at night. After four years of marriage, the two finally ended their separation.

Xing Cui was definitely the happiest person. She attributed the lack of grandchildren to the fact that they didn't see each other often enough. Seeing each other four times a month, and the possibility that Xiao Huan might be unwell, would definitely make it difficult to conceive!

That’s great now. We live together and see each other every day. Good news will definitely come soon.

After working for almost a year, Tang Huan found that something seemed wrong with him. He felt a little nauseous when he smelled the bone soup that the patients ate.

After coming out of the ward, she went directly to her gynecology colleague and asked her to help take a look.

After checking, I found out that I was pregnant and it had been more than two months.

The child seemed to know that Tang Huan loved her work and rarely caused her any trouble. During rounds or when she was sitting in the clinic, she never moved, only making a fuss during lunch breaks and in the evenings when her father was around.

The hospital has arranged maternity leave for her, but Tang Huan plans to wait until she gives birth. Since she works in the hospital anyway, she can go directly to the gynecology department when it is time to give birth.

It saves time, effort and is convenient.

However, she didn't expect that man proposes, God disposes. When Meng Zeyan picked her up from get off work, she started to have a stomachache when she got off the car to buy a roasted sweet potato.
