Chapter 22 Finding a Car to Move (1/2)

Meng Zeyan came back very late and there was no light in the house.

The moonlight shone brightly on the ground. He did not go back to the house. Instead, he sat down beside the grape trellis and looked up at the sky in a daze.

Tang Huan in the room couldn't sleep. She had to move out tomorrow, so she tossed and turned with her eyes closed.

She could hear the noise in the yard very clearly. Her uncle was not there during dinner, so she guessed he had returned.

Tang Huan felt a little urge to urinate, so he waited for almost half an hour after the noise in the yard died down before getting up from the bed.

Holding a flashlight, wearing slippers, I walked slowly towards the toilet.

To go to the toilet, you have to go around the vegetable garden and through the yard. The toilet is in the corner to the left of the gate.

I don’t know if it’s because of the different times, but Tang Huan feels that the moon is a little different. At this time, the moon is very bright, and you can see the road clearly without a flashlight.

Walking around the vegetable garden, there was actually a person sitting on the bench! Tang Huan was so scared that he took a few steps back, and the light of the flashlight in his hand shone on the person sitting in the yard.

Uncle, do you know that scaring others can kill them?

If she hadn't had a flashlight in her hand and hadn't seen who was sitting there in time, she would have shouted.

"I'm thinking about something." Meng Zeyan's voice, deliberately lowered, rang out under the moonlight. "Did I scare you?"

Tang Huan had to go to the restroom, and replied in a low voice, "No, I'm not scared. Take your time to think about it."

After saying that, he quickly walked around the grape trellis and headed towards the toilet.

Who would have thought that she would meet him by chance while going to the bathroom in the middle of the night? She even waited for half an hour longer for fear of running into him.

Meng Zeyan watched her quietly walk past the grape trellis, then stood up and walked back to the main house.

I wanted to calm down, but it only made things more chaotic.

When he came out of the toilet, there was no one in the yard. Tang Huan breathed a sigh of relief quietly and ran back to the house.

Now she was not so afraid of Meng Zeyan, but she still felt a little restrained when the two of them were alone together.

And at times like this, I really don’t know what to say.

After a sleepless night, Tang Huan had dark circles under his eyes when he woke up in the morning.

She really couldn't sleep and only fell asleep at four or five o'clock. Not long after, the crowing of the big rooster from Aunt Wu's house next door woke her up.

After getting up, washing, and rolling up the bedding on the bed, Tang Huan's things were completely packed up, including a bundle made of three sheets and a bedding roll.

I'll go out and call a rickshaw later, and it should be able to take it away in one trip.

It was rare for Meng Zeyan to be here this morning. He bought breakfast, which included steamed dumplings and soy milk.

Xing Cui likes to dip her dumplings in a sauce made of vinegar and roasted chili powder. After Tang Huan discovered her way of eating, he learned it once and became completely obsessed with it.

"Mom, I'm going to move out after dinner." Tang Huan pressed the dumplings into the vinegar bowl until they absorbed enough vinegar and chili sauce, then picked them up with chopsticks and took a bite.

The wonderful flavors mixed in the mouth, it was incredibly delicious.

Xing Cui hurriedly looked at Meng Zeyan. Does this kid still remember what he said?

Meng Zeyan was chewing a bun in his mouth. Hearing this, he looked up at Tang Huan, then looked at Comrade Xing Cui and gave her a reassuring look.

"If you're not in a hurry, let's move in the afternoon, okay?"

Tang Huan blinked while chewing a steamed dumpling, wanting to refuse. Didn't he say he would help her move this morning? How did it become afternoon again?

After swallowing the bun in his mouth, Tang Huan picked up another one, lowered his eyes and dipped it in the sauce, and whispered, "Actually, if you don't have time, I can move it myself."

Last time she hit Li Feng with a brick, he would definitely come to her after he recovered. She really couldn't waste any more time.

Meng Zeyan nodded, "Then we'll move in the morning."

"Thank you." Tang Huan had already decided to move by himself, but he didn't expect Meng Zeyan to be so easy to talk to.

He asked her to move in the afternoon. Doesn't that mean he has something to do in the morning?
