"Hello, Tang Huan. My last name is Xu. You can just call me Teacher Xu." Principal Xu stood up with a smile. In fact, he had met Tang Huan twice.
Once at Meng Zeyu's wedding banquet, and once at his funeral. There were so many people around at the time that Tang Huan might not remember.
"Hello, Teacher Xu." Tang Huan bowed slightly and expressed his gratitude to Principal Xu. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity."
Principal Xu waved his hand and picked up the test paper on the table. He felt very sympathetic towards Tang Huan, but rules were rules.
"Nothing to thank me for. You have to pass all these tests before you can come to school to repeat. Are you ready?"
Tang Huan nodded, "I'm ready."
Principal Xu placed the test paper opposite his desk, where there was also a chair.
"Just sit here and do the test, and treat me as your invigilator."
"good."
Tang Huan lowered his head and reached into his backpack to take out a pen. Holding the pen tightly in his hand, he walked to the opposite side of the desk and sat down.
Behind her, Meng Zeyan looked around the office, then quietly walked to the sofa on the side and sat down. He couldn't leave for the time being, for fear that Tang Huan might fail the exam.
The one at the top was the Chinese test paper. The scope of the test did not go beyond the textbook. Tang Huan seemed to know all the answers. He held the pen and wrote down the questions one by one without hesitation.
The office was quiet, with only the rustling sound of Tang Huan writing.
After starting to do the questions, Tang Huan immersed himself in them little by little and gradually forgot about the surrounding environment. He no longer cared about being nervous.
The Chinese test was finished in less than an hour. Tang Huan turned it over to check it, then put it aside and started working on the second one.
Principal Xu was sitting opposite the desk. As soon as Tang Huan put the paper down, he picked it up and started correcting it.
Tang Huan's handwriting is neat and the paper is clean, which makes a good impression at first glance.
The second one was mathematics. Tang Huan took out the homework book from his schoolbag. Some of the questions required calculations.
After math, it's English, history, geography, politics, and biology.
After finishing one test paper after another, more than half of the afternoon had passed.
Principal Xu could mark all other subjects except English, as English was not an examination subject in his time.
"Wait here for a moment, I'll call someone over." Principal Xu stood up and walked out of the office.
Tang Huan watched the invigilator walk out and blinked blankly. Although she had finished everything, the test paper was still in front of her. Wasn't Teacher Xu afraid that she would cheat?
When Principal Xu returned with his men, Meng Zeyan teased, "Uncle Xu, you seem quite reassured. Aren't you afraid that I might cheat?"
"I'm afraid of other things, but I'm really not afraid of English. You definitely can't do it!" Principal Xu walked towards the desk with an English teacher, making fun of Meng Zeyan.
Meng Zeyan smiled and said nothing. Who said he couldn't do it?
Principal Xu had finished grading the other test papers, leaving only one English test paper.
I walked to the desk and handed the English test paper to the English teacher, "Just mark it here and see how many points you can get."
The English teacher was a man wearing glasses. He didn't waste any time. He took out a pen from his shirt pocket and started marking the test papers.
Tang Huan stood up and quietly touched the edge of the table with his hands, waiting for the correction results.
After grading the other test papers, Principal Xu did not tell him the results. Tang Huan felt that he had done well in the exam, but he was also afraid of what might happen.
The English teacher grades papers very quickly. The student has just taken the test and he knows all the answers by heart.
After grading the test and handing it to the principal, the English teacher slowly put his pen back into his shirt pocket and stood by the desk waiting.
"Ninety-seven points?" Principal Xu was a little surprised when he looked at the score on the English test paper. You know, the best English score in their school is only over eighty points.
English has only just been made a compulsory subject, and many children simply cannot adapt to it.
The English teacher nodded and said, "Yes, this student has a good foundation. The three points were deducted because he made a few mistakes in writing words."
