"Okay, thank you, teacher. I'll be leaving first." Tang Huan bowed slightly to Teacher Zhao, turned around and walked out of the office.
Seven dollars plus five dollars is twelve dollars in total. Tang Huan only had ten dollars on him, so he didn't have enough money to return it to him.
Meng Zeyan was still in the principal's office, reading a book in pure English.
Principal Xu initially thought he was pretending, but later he couldn't stand it anymore and left first.
The bell rang for the end of get out of class. Meng Zeyan closed the book, stood up and put it back on the bookshelf. The office door was not closed, and he could just see outside the door from the bookshelf.
Many students walked or ran towards the school gate. As time passed, Meng Zeyan began to wonder what the probability was that Tang Huan had forgotten that he was still waiting for her.
There weren't many students in the school. After a while of hustle and bustle, fewer and fewer people walked out of the school gate.
Meng Zeyan walked out of the office and prepared to go to the classroom to look for someone. Comrade Xing Cui told him that he must bring the person back the same way he brought him out.
Not long after walking, Meng Zeyan stopped. A thin and small man was walking towards him with his head lowered, kicking a small stone with his foot.
The small stone was kicked this way and then that way. Tang Huan lowered his head and watched the stone rolling, thinking about how to ask Meng Zeyan to return his money.
It’s okay for her parents-in-law, but how could she have the nerve to spend Meng Zeyan’s money?
Seeing that she didn't notice that he was right across from her, Meng Zeyan coughed lightly.
Tang Huan looked up in shock, only to see Meng Zeyan standing just a few steps away. He didn't know what to say for a moment.
"Let's go home." Meng Zeyan spoke first, then asked her with a smile: "How was the class? Are you used to it?"
Tang Huan nodded, his body unconsciously tensed, and he stood very straight, "Very good."
Seeing that she was about to stand in military posture to give a report, Meng Zeyan turned around with a smile.
He turned around and walked ahead, with Tang Huan following two steps behind him. As for the stone, it had been forgotten.
The two walked out of the school gate one after the other. There was a bus parked at the bus stop not far away and some people were getting on it.
Meng Zeyan estimated the distance and thought he could run to the bus stop before the bus started, so he could stop the driver and wait for Tang Huan behind him.
The person in front of him started running at an extremely fast speed. In the blink of an eye, Tang Huan saw Meng Zeyan running to the bus stop...
She quickly accelerated, fearing that the bus would drive away.
The sandals on my feet rub my feet, especially when I run.
In her previous life, Tang Huan had been in a wheelchair and had rarely walked. She was not good at running and seemed to be walking in the wrong direction!
No matter how she ran, when she arrived at the bus stop, the bus had not left and the door was still open.
Meng Zeyan stood a little inside the car door waiting for her. He saw her running clearly in the rearview mirror beside the car.
Tang Huan stepped onto the bus. This time he had experience, so he held onto the handrail next to him with one hand and used the other to pay for his ticket.
There were no empty seats in the car and many people were standing in the aisle, so Meng Zeyan did not move and continued to stand in the same place.
"I've already bought the ticket."
Hearing this, Tang Huan looked up at him. It was he who bought the ticket when he came here.
Meng Zeyan was looking at her with a smile. Tang Huan had seen his smile before, but this was the first time she felt that his smile looked so real.
The previous one might have been a polite smile, but this time it should be from the heart.
Is catching up with the bus what makes him so happy? This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
