Chapter 82, Watching the Band (2/2)

Tang Huan laughed out loud without holding back her laughter. She liked that name.

Laughter surrounded Meng Zeyan. He looked gently at Tang Huan, who was laughing uncontrollably because of the word "Dr. Tang".

Tang Huan followed Meng Zeyan all the way home, his steps brisk, and sometimes he would hum a few lines of the song he had just learned off the stage.

It was already dark on the way back. There were no street lights on this road. Usually the moon was shining, but tonight the moon was lazy and didn't want to go to work.

The road was a little dark, and the two of them walked home in the dark.

Tang Huan remembered that Tang Shuo said Meng Zeyan was the male protagonist of the literary world, and he would become a high-ranking official in the future.

He is now the head of a regiment, which seems to be a long way from being a high-ranking official.

At what age does one become a high-ranking official? He's 28 this year and already a regimental commander. It would take at least another 20 years to become a high-ranking official, right?

It could be longer.

Meng Zeyan walked beside her, thinking about what Tang Shuo said today. Tang Shuo wanted to take Tang Huan back to the Tang family.

He mentioned this to Comrade Xing Cui in the kitchen, and Comrade Xing Cui said it was normal.

If this was a child doted on by her parents, they would have taken her home long ago. Tang Huan had been staying at their house for so long because she had nowhere else to go.

It is reasonable for Tang Shuo to want to take his sister back home, and no one has the right to stop him.

Xing Cui and Meng Qinghe couldn't stop it, and Meng Zeyan was even less qualified to stop it.

Which uncle would stop his younger brother and sister from going back to their parents' home?

The time Meng Zeyan could spare was limited. If she returned to the Tang family, it would be even more difficult to see her.

"Xiao Huan, does your promise to go to the military family building during winter break still count?"

After dark, Tang Huan calmed down and walked more steadily, fearing he would fall.

His words broke the silence. Tang Huan thought for a moment and replied, "It counts."

Tang Shuo went to the south to deal with some things after the Chinese New Year. He will come back to look for a house after he finishes his work. It will probably take some time for the house to be ready.

"Yeah." Meng Zeyan wanted to ask her whether she would move out later, but he didn't ask in the end.

Even if she moved away, the worst that could happen was that he would find more opportunities to visit her.

Wei was full in the evening, so he went out for a walk with a flashlight. As soon as he walked out of the door, he ran into two people.

Their eyes met, and Tang Huan walked back past him without even looking at him.

Does she have a grudge against Wei?

When I think about it carefully, it seems to be true. She hit someone with a brick!

So being met by Wei Ye every time is her retribution?

Wei also looked at Tang Huan's back. The person he met in the afternoon looked really like Sister Tang Huan. Are they relatives?

When he turned his head and met Meng Zeyan's eyes, he saw the gray scarf around Meng Zeyan's neck. He wondered if Sister Tang Huan was also wearing the same color scarf just now?

It’s actually quite normal for a scarf to be the same color. Maybe they were bought from the same store?

Suddenly I feel like I'm in danger...

The speed of his brain reached its peak at this moment, and Wei was surprised: "Brother, you are walking alone at night?"

Meng Zeyan nodded, looked at him meaningfully, and walked back past him.

Wei Ye took the flashlight and turned back home. From now on, he would never go out for a walk even if he died of starvation! This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
