Chapter 53: Caught Stealing Vegetables (1/2)

In the afternoon, Qian Chunhua carried a backpack and took Qingfeng with him to go to the field to harvest cabbage.

Uncle Ga will come to build a house in a few days, so I have to harvest all the cabbages in the field before that.

Before I even reached the field, I saw two small figures, bending over, moving around in the field. They didn't look like people harvesting crops at all, but more like thieves coming to steal.

All of their actions were rough and they didn't care whether they would damage the cabbages or trample the crops in the fields.

This made Qian Chunhua very angry. Although she did not rely on the harvest from the fields to make a living, on the surface, the harvest here was her family's only source of income.

Qian Chunhua asked Qingfeng to hide behind a big rock at the entrance of the village, and he quickened his pace and went to the field.

Now I could see clearly that it was Zhao Qingshui and Zhao Xiaojuan who were frantically digging up the cabbages in their own fields.

Now the thief and the stolen goods have been caught.

Qian Chunhua shouted, "Stop it."

While he walked forward and grabbed the two people, he turned his head and shouted to Qingfeng behind the big rock, "Qingfeng, go and call the village chief grandfather."

Although Zhao Qingfeng was hiding behind a rock, he was concentrating on watching the situation here.

After hearing his mother's instructions, Zhao Qingfeng turned around and ran. The little kid was quite fast and he disappeared in the blink of an eye.

When they heard that they were going to find the village chief, Zhao Qingshui and Zhao Xiaojuan panicked.

Zhao Qingshui struggled to escape.

Zhao Xiaojuan grabbed Qian Chunhua's clothes and shed pleading tears, "Second Aunt, please let us go. I won't dare to do it again."

Qian Chunhua glared at him, "Shut up, don't call me Second Aunt, we are no longer related."

These two children had bad intentions and had often kicked, hit and pinched Qingsong in the past. Qian Chunhua had no intention of letting them go.

Seeing that Qian Chunhua was not willing to give in, Zhao Xiaojuan became ruthless. She lowered her head and bit Qian Chunhua's left arm.

Fortunately, Qian Chunhua was wearing many clothes, so although the bite did not hit the flesh, it did damage the cotton coat on Qian Chunhua's arm.

Hearing the sound of clothes being torn, Qian Chunhua felt heartbroken for the girl, hoping that she would not break her teeth.

While his sister was biting Qian Chunhua's hand, Zhao Qingshui struggled to free himself from Qian Chunhua's hand. He even gave up the backpack and planned to abandon his sister and run away.

Qian Chunhua would definitely not let him get away. In a hurry, Qian Chunhua kicked Zhao Qingshui on the back and knocked him to the ground.

Qian Chunhua stepped on Zhao Qingshui's back, and now he couldn't run away.

Zhao Xiaojuan lowered her head, her eyes rolling around, trying to think of a way to escape, but unfortunately she had not figured out a way to escape until the village chief arrived.

Along with the village chief came the gossiping crowd under the old locust tree.

It turned out that when Qingfeng ran to find the village chief just now, he also alarmed them. They were excited to watch the fun, so they called their friends and ran faster than the village chief.

"Oh, I was wondering who it is. It turns out to be Xiaojuan and you guys." Zhang Qiurong, who was running in the front, discovered that the thieves were actually them.

Zhou Guifang followed closely behind, "Hey, this is Qingshui, why are you stealing cabbage from your second aunt's house, tsk tsk tsk..."

The second son of the Zhao family is gone, and this family has really fallen on hard times. Even worthless cabbages are stolen. Zhou Guifang shook her head and sighed inwardly.

Qingfeng also followed the large group, and with his short legs, he ran happily back to Qian Chunhua.

Qian Chunhua pulled his son over, rubbed his head, and nodded to Qingfeng with a smile, as if to say, "Not bad, well done."

The pine tree raised its neck proudly and smiled with pride.
