Chapter 180 New Year's Gathering

That evening.

The auditorium in the Shenzhen Industrial Zone was bustling with activity.

Lin Li, dressed in a custom-made navy blue suit, was standing next to the podium, flipping through the sign-in sheet.

The two teams below the stage were clearly separated.

On the left are pharmaceutical factory workers in white coats, and on the right are restaurant staff wearing blue aprons.

This was the first joint New Year's gathering of her two factories and catering company.

Lin Laosan stood on the side platform with his two nephews by his side.

Eleven-year-old Lin Hu clutched a red silk cloth bag, his eyes darting around the auditorium adorned with colorful paper, occasionally whispering something in his younger brother's ear.

“Look at that guy wearing the white hat, he must be the head chef at Uncle Wang’s restaurant.”

Eight-year-old Lin Yao leaned quietly against Lin Laosan's leg, holding a well-worn arithmetic textbook in his hand, flipping through it from time to time.

"President Lin, everyone's here."

Gao Zhe walked in with a smile on his face.

He had just come from the pharmaceutical factory workshop, and his cuffs still smelled of disinfectant.

"Old Zhang from the pharmaceutical workshop brought some newly released cold medicine and said he wanted to show it to you."

Lin Li nodded and said, "No rush, today is the New Year's gathering, we won't talk about work."

"yes!"

Gao Zhe's smile deepened.

At this moment, Wang Jianguo came in through the back door carrying a tin food box.

Seeing Lin Li turn around, he lifted the lid of the box to reveal steaming hot char siu buns: "They were just steamed from the shop. Have some before the raffle."

Lin Li smiled and took it, then waved to Lin Laosan and the two little ones.

Lin Laosan quickly stepped forward and took the tin food box.

"If you're hungry, go ahead and eat. I'm still busy here."

Lin Laosan nodded, took the food box, and led the two little ones to eat nearby.

Lin Li took the microphone to test the sound, and a buzzing sound came from the microphone.

Lin Hu suddenly stood on tiptoe and pointed to the first row: "Third Uncle, that aunt in the white coat is taking notes."

Lin Yao followed his gaze and nodded slightly.

"They should have the habit of taking notes; you should all learn from them."

Lin Hu and Lin Yao: Third Uncle is really something, he loves to lecture them every now and then.

They have excellent results in the port city, consistently ranking among the top.

"This year, the restaurant's roast meats became the designated dish for the foreign trade guesthouse, and the pharmaceutical factory also won the quality award from the Health Bureau."

Lin Li's voice came through the loudspeaker, and the audience fell silent instantly.

She raised her hand to indicate the blackboard behind her, on which two bold numbers were written in red chalk.

"The combined profits of both companies have doubled compared to last year, all thanks to everyone's efforts. Now let's begin the lucky draw."

Deafening applause erupted from the audience.

Restaurant waiter Xiao Li quickly straightened the wrinkles in her blue apron, while Lao Zhou from the pharmaceutical factory quietly adjusted his cuffs and carried the two raffle boxes onto the stage.

The raffle box was made from wooden crates from two factories, with the word "prize" painted in red.

When Lin Li reached in, Lin Hu jumped up and down below the stage, but was stopped by Lin Laosan's shoulder.

When she pulled out the first slip of paper and read out the name "Zhao Shufen," Sister Zhao from the pharmaceutical factory warehouse stood up quickly with surprise.

A loud reply: "Here!"

Gao Zhe picked up another microphone, stepped forward, and spoke loudly.

"Sister Zhao was in charge of the inventory of medicinal herbs, and there were zero errors throughout the year."

Upon hearing this, Sister Zhao's eyes immediately welled up with tears.

She never expected that she, an ordinary warehouse worker, would catch the attention of General Manager Gao.

A colleague next to her nudged her, which brought her back to her senses.

He wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes with the back of his hand, and quickly walked to the stage.

Lin Li handed over the Shanghai brand watch that won first prize, watching her bow with red eyes.

"This chart is accurate, and it will be convenient to check the expiration dates of medicinal materials in the future."

"Thank you, Mr. Lin."

Sister Zhao took the watch and held it high, her face flushed with excitement.

Next up is Wang Jianguo's lottery draw.

He deliberately touched a piece of paper with a damp corner.

Upon unfolding the document, one could see it was Chef Chen from the kitchen. Old Chen walked onto the stage, rubbing his calloused hands, and his voice was deafeningly loud as he accepted the second-prize Dacron fabric.

"My daughter will be able to wear a new dress for Chinese New Year!"

When it was Gao Zhe's turn to draw a prize, he drew Xiao Wu from the pharmaceutical processing workshop.

When Xiao Wu received the prize, his eyes lit up: "This semiconductor radio is perfect for listening to the factory's technical lectures."

When it was Lin Laosan's turn to draw a prize, he deliberately stirred the prize tickets in the box.

When the prize was drawn against Lao Ma, the restaurant's purchasing agent, he exclaimed, "Uncle Ma, your prize is also a watch!"

Old Ma walked onto the stage with a smile, accepted the prize, and then burst into laughter.

"I, Old Ma, have a watch now."

The entire venue immediately became lively and bustling.

The raffle lasted for more than an hour, and a total of two-thirds of the employees won prizes.

They were so happy that their voices grew louder and louder.

The atmosphere at the scene became increasingly excited.

After the lucky draw, it was time to distribute red envelopes.

Lin Li had the finance department roll up the brand-new small-denomination bills into tubes in advance, making each red envelope bulge and look delightful.

She walked to the front of the stage, picked up the microphone, and smiled gently yet powerfully.

"Dear colleagues, our catering company and pharmaceutical factory have both performed very well this year, which is inseparable from everyone's hard work. Therefore, our bonuses are prepared according to each person's job position and years of service. The more you work, the more you will be rewarded. We hope everyone can feel the company's goodwill."

She paused for a moment, then continued, "Besides red envelopes, the company has also prepared rice, grains, and meat as New Year's gifts for everyone. After the meeting, everyone can go to the backstage area to collect them by showing their employee badges. It's the end of the year, so everyone should have a good New Year!"
