Chapter 99 A bigger courtyard house

He stood up and bowed to Lin Li.

"Thank you, doctor, you saved the lives of my family of three!"

Lin Li smiled and handed the baby in her arms to him.

"It's a daughter!"

The man stiffly took the child, holding her small, soft body. His lips quickly turned up, his eyes sparkled, and his affection was palpable.

Lin Li looked at him and then explained the precautions for taking care of the new mother and child one by one.

The man listened, nodding repeatedly.

After Lin Li helped her correct her posture while holding the children, she led the two little ones out of the carriage.

As they walked back from the train carriage, the three of them heard exclamations of praise and admiration all the way, which made the two little ones hold their heads high.

This is my grandma, my dear grandma!

Not long after I returned to the carriage, I heard the announcement that we were about to arrive at the station.

Lin Li, holding her two children's hands, got off the bus with the flow of people.

As soon as they stepped off the train and saw the bustling crowds on the platform, the two little ones opened their mouths wide and kept making "wah wah!" noises.

I took the two of them on a bus back to the courtyard house. Just as I was about to open the gate, I saw the gate suddenly open.

Lin Laosan stood at the door with a smile.

“I could hear you all crying from the yard!”

The two little ones saw Lin Laosan and happily jumped into his arms.

"Third Uncle!"

Lin Laosan picked up one of them in each arm and bounced them around. "They're too light. You two need to eat properly, okay?"

The two were jostled around by Lin Laosan, so frightened that they clung tightly to his neck, screaming incessantly, followed by a burst of laughter.

Lin Li looked at the three of them acting crazy, shook her head with a smile, walked into the courtyard, and closed the door.

"Mom, I've found schools for Tiger and Yaoyao, do you want to go take a look?"

Lin Laosan continued to hold the two children, showing no intention of putting them down.

"Wow, you're so quick?"

"Yes, Professor Chen heard about this and took the initiative to contact the school for me, and the school agreed."

"Professor Chen? Is that the one whose daughter is sick?"

Lin Laosan nodded.

"The schools are all good; I went to see them. They are some of the more well-known primary and nursery schools in Beijing."

"You can go and see it."

Lin Li: It seems we need to arrange for Professor Chen's daughter to see a doctor as soon as possible, otherwise we'll owe him a huge favor.

Lin Hu: I'm going to a new school?

Lin Yao: Nursery school? What is a nursery school?

Lin Laosan: We can have a good meal tonight.

The four of them had their own thoughts and plans, but they were surprisingly in sync as they packed their suitcases and tidied up their belongings.

"Mom, real estate agent Mr. Chen came by yesterday and said he happens to have a courtyard house to sell. He asked if you're interested."

"Yes, I have!"

Upon hearing this news, Lin Li stopped what she was doing, her eyes lighting up.

Ever since she decided to bring the two little ones over, she felt that her current place was too small and there was simply not enough room for them.

Just when I was thinking of moving to a bigger courtyard house, I heard this good news.

"Then I'll go check on Master Chen now. Would you like to come along?"

The three of them immediately put down what they were doing and stood in front of her.

"Then... let's go!"

The four of them, in a grand procession and amidst laughter and chatter, headed towards Jixiang Hutong.

When Lin Li led everyone to push open the door of the real estate agency, they saw Master Chen greeting guests.

He glanced at Lin Li, then his lips moved slightly, and judging from the shape of his lips, he said, "Wait a moment."

Lin Li nodded and then led everyone on a tour of the properties at the real estate agency.

After waiting for almost ten minutes, Mr. Chen finally saw the guest off.

"You're back?"

"I just arrived today, and my third son told me that you had reserved a courtyard house for me. As soon as I heard that, I brought my whole family over."

After saying that, he nudged the two little ones next to him, "Call him Master Chen!"

"Hello, Master Chen!"

The two little ones immediately greeted each other.

“These are my two grandsons whom I brought from my hometown. We were just feeling that our old courtyard house was too small to fit us in, and then you told us that there were courtyard houses for sale. I was overjoyed.”

After taking two candies out of the steamed buns and handing them to the two little ones, Master Chen patted their heads before looking up and saying with a smile.

"Isn't this just fate?"

After saying that, he took out a bunch of keys.

"Come on, I'll show you. It's a three-courtyard house facing the street, with its own entrance and courtyard. Even the door knockers are made of bronze!"

Lin Li's heart suddenly raced, and her face lit up with ecstasy: "Master Chen, you're kidding me... this courtyard..."

Why would I tease you!

Seeing Lin Li's delighted expression, Master Chen also felt smug.

"The landlord just handed me the keys yesterday, and I rushed over to tell you without even having a sip of water... I knew you were really looking for a place, so I specially reserved it for you! But this price... is indeed not cheap."

"How...how much?"

Master Chen lowered his voice: "Twenty-eight thousand. But don't worry, if you want it, I'll definitely help you get the price down!"

Upon hearing the price, Lin Li quickly calculated the amount of money she had.

The business at Nanhai Pavilion in Shenzhen has been good this month, with the monthly cost of ingredients ranging from approximately 75,000 to 90,000 yuan.

Besides the various seasonings needed for the restaurant, she also purchased over 50,000 yuan worth of goods from her personal space, more than enough to buy this courtyard house.

Lin Laosan's heart sank when he saw Lin Li with her head down, deep in thought.

Does Mom not have enough money?
