Chapter 133: Pick Her Up from get off work

A blinding flash of lightning streaked across the sky, and without warning, heavy rain poured down like a giant waterfall, sweeping across the entire Sang'an County. Bursts of thunder, hidden in the dark clouds, made people's ears numb.

"Why is it raining so heavily suddenly?" Jiang Hongqin closed the door of the photo studio to prevent rainwater from seeping into the house.

"We didn't bring an umbrella. How are we going to get out later?" Su Nan was helping Master Kong pack up his camera and other supplies. He raised his head and glanced at the dim environment outside. He sighed softly and felt worried.

Fortunately, the three little girls walked quickly, otherwise they would not know when they could get home in such heavy rain.

"My child's father should come to bring me an umbrella. Why don't you borrow one from Master Kong?" Jiang Hongqin came over to help move things. She was very strong and could easily lift the heavy boxes.

"Just take my umbrella later and return it tomorrow." Master Kong naturally heard their conversation and readily agreed to lend the umbrella.

"Thank you, Master Kong." Su Nan smiled sweetly and thanked him quickly.

Because it was raining so heavily, not many people came to the photo studio, so they had some free time. Su Nan curled up on the sofa and read some books. Master Kong lent her some miscellaneous notes on China and foreign countries. The contents were very interesting and were enough to kill time.

No one came to the photo studio until it was almost time to get off work. Finally, someone came to the door, and it was a family member of a photo studio employee.

Sure enough, Jiang Hongqin's husband came to bring her an umbrella. Although it was not yet the stipulated time to get off work, Master Kong still decided to let Jiang Hongqin and her husband go first.

After they left, only Master Kong and Su Nan were left in the photo studio.

"Let me help Sister Hongqin sweep the floor." Since there was nothing to do just sitting there, Su Nan stood up and put the book on the table, then went behind the counter to get a broom and started sweeping the floor.

"You go first. It will be the same if you clean it tomorrow." Master Kong was making tea with hot water. When he saw Su Nan's actions, he quickly spoke up to stop her.

"It's okay, I'll finish sweeping before I leave." Su Nan raised his head and smiled, then waved his hand without much concern.

Zhou Rang went to Xiaojia Village this morning and didn't know when she would be able to come back. Anyway, she had nothing to do at home, so she might as well accompany Master Kong in the photo studio. It would be lonely for an old man to stay alone.

Master Kong didn't say anything else and let Su Nan sweep the floor.

When it was time to get off work, Su Nan packed her bag and prepared to go out with Master Kong's big umbrella, she saw a tall figure waiting on the roadside. Her eyes lit up and she asked in surprise, "Why are you here?"

Zhou Rang curled his lips, took two steps forward, took her hand, and whispered, "I'm here to pick you up from get off work."

"I thought you would stay in Xiaojia Village for a few days before coming back, but I didn't expect you to stay for only one morning? Did you miss me so much after being away from me for such a short time?" Su Nan tilted her head and poked Zhou Rang's arm with her index finger like a spoiled child.

Zhou Rang rubbed her head and echoed lovingly, "Yeah, I miss you so much that my heart aches."

"Tsk, so corny." Su Nan pretended to be unable to bear it and rubbed the goose bumps on his arms in disgust, but his eyes couldn't help but bend.

"Wait a moment, I'll return the umbrella to Master Kong." Su Nan remembered something and pointed to the extra umbrella in his hand.

Zhou Rang took the bag from Su Nan's hand, nodded, and said, "Go ahead. I'll wait for you at the door."

Su Nan turned and went into the photo studio, put the umbrella back where it was, and then said to Master Kong who was sitting on the sofa drinking tea, "Master Kong, someone is here to pick me up. I put your umbrella in the cabinet."

Hearing this, Master Kong subconsciously looked towards the entrance of the photo studio and saw a tall man standing there. After noticing his gaze, he politely nodded and greeted him.

He's a nice young man.

"Yeah, okay, go quickly, don't keep me waiting for too long." Master Kong retracted his gaze and waved his hand to signal Su Nan that he could leave.

"See you tomorrow." Su Nan also waved, then jumped into Zhou Rang's arms and said delicately, "I want to eat the minced meat and eggplant you made yesterday."

"Okay, what else?" Zhou Rang put his arm around Su Nan's shoulders, letting her whole body be protected by the umbrella. He didn't care that his own shoulders got wet.

Su Nan frowned in distress and looked at Zhou Rang, scratching his forehead. "Oh, everything you cook is delicious. I can't make a decision right now. What should I do?"

"Then let's draw lots?" Zhou Rang laughed, and his low laughter lingered in Su Nan's ears, making her swallow her saliva.

"Just smile more, I love to hear it."

"Well... I'll laugh for you tonight."

"What? I want to hear it now."

"Are you sure?"

"It's night, huh."

The coward immediately raised his hands in surrender, touched his burning cheek, coughed lightly, and said, "Don't indulge in lust in broad daylight."

When they arrived at their home on Wutong Street, Zhou Rang told Su Nan about an important event, which was that Xiao Fangyun and Lu Zechen were going to get married.

"How come it's so fast? After a day?" Su Nan patted the muddy water on his trouser legs, raised his head in surprise and looked at Zhou Rang who was closing the umbrella, with a look of disbelief on his face.

It was clear that the last time they met, Xiao Fangyun hinted that they were just dating, so how come in less than half a month they were already planning to get married, hold a wedding banquet, and enter into marriage?

She had thought that Liu Yucai would be the first one among them to get married, but she didn't expect that it would be Xiao Fangyun. It was really unpredictable.

"Yeah, I also heard about it from Ding Mao after I went to the educated youth point that day." Zhou Rang hung the umbrella on the hook outside the corridor, turned and went into the room, took out a towel and helped Su Nan wipe his trouser legs.

Su Nan stood still obediently, letting Zhou Rang wipe her, muttering, "Actually, a quick marriage does have its advantages."

As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Zhou Rangyouyuan, who was squatting at her feet, raise his eyes and look at her pitifully, as if to say, "Quick marriage is good, what about us?"

"Ahem, that's based on the consent of both parents, okay? Besides, although Yun'er hasn't reached the legal marriage age and can't get a marriage certificate, this is a military marriage, protected by national law, and it's guaranteed."

Su Nan explained seriously and reached out to touch Zhou Rang's head to comfort him.

After thinking seriously for a moment, Zhou Rang hesitated whether to return to the army and give Su Nan a secure military marriage. But if he returned to the army, he would not be as free as he is now and could not be with her anytime and anywhere.

So what should I do to make her agree to a "flash marriage" with me?

Zhou Rang finished wiping her trouser legs and stood up. He was clearly in a bad mood and said, "Also, Xiao Fangyun asked me to tell you something. She said she wants you to help her with her makeup."

Su Nan noticed Zhou Rang's little mood and couldn't help but said with a smile: "Well, I'll go there a day earlier."

After saying that, she suddenly leaned close to Zhou Rang, blinked her long eyelashes, and said cunningly, "Do you really want to marry me?"
