Chapter 16 Something Happened

In the clear paddy field, there were several black and yellow creatures swimming. They were not moving very fast, so Su Nan could see their appearance clearly.

So ugly, so disgusting, she kept retracting her half-extended tender little feet.

Old Man Huang didn't even turn his head and explained as if he was used to it, "Leech, there are plenty of them in the fields."

Hearing this, Su Nan exclaimed "Ah" and took a few steps back.

"What's there to be afraid of? They won't eat people. At most, they will suck a few mouthfuls of your blood." Old Man Huang straightened up and threw a large bunch of weeds at his feet. Because the sun was too strong, he had to squint his eyes to look at Su Nan who was still standing on the shore.

"Come down quickly, don't waste time." His tone was impatient.

Su Nan shuddered in fear at being yelled at, feeling aggrieved. If she hadn't transmigrated into a book, why would she have to do this kind of work? Even the original owner was spoiled and pampered, having never been out of the field.

"I'll do it for her."

Su Nan suddenly raised his head and looked at Zhou Rang. He seemed to have found the trick to weeding. He moved quickly and cleared a large area in a short while. He piled the weeds neatly in a pile in the field.

Seeing this, Old Man Huang didn't know what to say. He could only snort coldly and said sarcastically, "Young people just love to show off their abilities and like to be heroes saving beauties, right?

"Well, I want to see you help her today. What about tomorrow? And the day after tomorrow? Young man, farm work is not easy. If you continue like this, I guarantee that your waist will hurt so much that you won't be able to get up tomorrow."

"It's okay, thank you Uncle Huang for the reminder." Zhou Rang wiped the sweat from his forehead and continued to bend down to pull out the weeds.

Su Nan stood by the field, and it felt like a warm current was flowing through her heart, instantly filling it with soft emotions.

Mom, I think I'm in love, woo woo woo, isn't Zhou Rang too boyfriend-like? No, not yet a boyfriend, Su Nan. From this moment on, a thought suddenly emerged in her mind.

Who can resist a guy who can do business, do farm work, and is also so damn handsome?

The key point is that male beauty can mislead people.

The wind blew through the man's short hair, blew off a drop of sweat, slid down his full forehead, crossed his high nose bridge, and finally flowed into his slightly open collar and sank into his slowly rising and falling chest.

The sun shone on Zhou Rang, and his muscles were smooth and vigorous with his movements. This was definitely not comparable to the muscular men in later generations who could only build up their muscles by hanging out in the gym and eating fat-reducing meals.

Su Nan clenched his hands together and told himself to stay calm.

The first rule of hooking up with a man is to be reserved, at least not to let him see that you have any uneasy thoughts about him. Then you can use your tricks step by step to capture his heart, make him fall at your feet and be unable to stop.

Yeah, that's right.

Su Nan was an active person. He quickly put on his shoes and tucked his trouser legs into his socks, making sure no skin was exposed, and then went into the water.

"Why did you come down?" Zhou Rang turned to look behind him, glanced at her feet, and frowned.

Su Nan picked up a pile of weeds with some difficulty. When the weeds were soaked in water, their weight doubled.

Hearing Zhou Rang's question, Su Nan winked playfully and mouthed, "A beauty saving a hero, isn't that nice?"

Look at my sweet smile that covers every angle, and my wink that never gets old.

Handsome guy, don’t you really want to have such a considerate and caring girlfriend?

Unexpectedly, the other party just replied with a faint "hmm", then turned his head back, and had no other reaction, and his face didn't even blush.

"snort."

Su Nan puffed up her cheeks angrily. It was like she was flirting with a blind man. This idiot who didn't understand romance was wasting Miss Xu's expression.

How could she know that Zhou Rang turned around with a red face, his hand trembled and he almost cut his leg. He took a few deep breaths to suppress the emotion in his heart.

In this way, Zhou Rang and Old Man Huang were weeding in front, and Su Nan was picking up the weeds slowly behind them.

After a while, Su Nan was sweating profusely. Even if she wanted to help, she didn't have the energy to do so. She slumped down on the shore, gasping for breath. Her little face under the straw hat was covered with spots, some black and some yellow, with obvious color differences.

Su Nan took a look at the creamy liquid that had just been applied from his face, then looked at the big sun hanging high in the sky, and thought to himself: No matter how good the sunscreen is, it can't withstand the baptism of the sweat that keeps flowing.

Damn it! How would she explain this to them if they found out? There was no sunscreen for sale during this time!

Su Nan was extremely anxious. Seeing that Zhou Rang and the other man were still busy weeding, she looked around and found a small path leading up the mountain.

"Well, I'm going to the bathroom." Su Nan's voice was as soft as a mosquito's hum. He didn't care whether they could hear him or not, and ran up the mountain with his hands covering his face.

Su Nan ran along the path for a long time before he stopped.

The mountains were covered with towering trees, each one as thick as a middle-aged man's waist. The treetops blocked out the scorching sun, making the light in the forest dim, and the air was filled with the smell of rotting leaves.

Such a forest is rare in later generations. Su Nan has only seen it in movies and outdoor documentaries. Now that he is in it, he can't help but feel a chill slowly creeping up from the soles of his feet.

He subconsciously touched his arm and shuddered.

He quickly put his palms together to form a bowl. After a while, the fairy spring appeared out of thin air and filled his palms, emitting a sweet smell.

This was the first time that Su Nan took out so much fairy spring water at one time, and he felt a little nervous for no reason.

The silence and strange atmosphere in the woods made it too late for her to think too much. She just wanted to wash her face quickly and return to where there were people. So she buried her face in it and rubbed it hard twice.

When the water became dirty, she changed another handful. But this time, before she buried her face in it, she felt a cool breath on the back of her neck. She was so scared that she turned around suddenly and met the eyes of several big black snakes.

"Ah." A shrill scream echoed through the mountains and forests.

Zhou Rang, who was cutting grass, immediately turned around and looked behind him, but the pretty figure was nowhere to be seen. He cursed in his heart and ran up the mountain with his sickle.

Su Nan moved back cautiously, and the fairy spring in her hand spilled all over the ground. The snake suddenly pounced towards her with its tongue spitting out.

Su Nan was not paying attention and tripped over a protruding stone on the ground and fell to the ground. The snake was at her feet, wriggling around the ground wet by the fairy spring, but it did not attack her again.

When people are in extremely dangerous situations, the only thing left is the ability to survive.

Su Nan immediately ignored the book that said you shouldn't run away when you see a snake. She got up from the ground, holding up her wet trouser legs covered in mud, and ran towards the mountain, trying hard to hold back her tears and not daring to relax for a moment.

The hard black soles of the shoes stepped on the branches, making a crisp sound, which Su Nan heard as the death warrant given to her by the big snake.

Its petite body actually played to its advantage. It was not afraid of being blocked by the half-high vines and had unknowingly run deep into the forest.

Su Nan pushed aside a bush and was about to take a step forward when he suddenly heard the rustling sound of cloth from behind and subconsciously looked back.

A man in a military green short-sleeved shirt nimbly slid down from a tree several stories high. When he landed, he glared at her sharply.

"Grass."

Su Nan was frightened and his hands loosened as he held onto the bushes. The ground beneath him suddenly collapsed, his feet slipped, and he flew out.

He rolled down the slope with his head spinning, and his back hit a tree stump.
