Chapter 208 Future Daughter-in-law

At the Zhou family's house, the lights were on early in the morning, and the sound of hustle and bustle could be heard from inside.

Song Wanqing quickly washed up in her pajamas, changed her clothes, and went downstairs. Zhou Xingwen, who was yawning constantly, followed behind her. She almost slipped and fell down the stairs because she was not paying attention.

"Watch the road, you bumped into me." Song Wanqing couldn't help rolling her eyes, rubbed her hurt shoulder, turned around and yelled in a low voice.

It’s okay. Why are you so big?

Zhou Xingwen rubbed Song Wanqing's shoulders in a flattering manner, but he couldn't help but ask, "Aren't Zhou Rang and his girlfriend supposed to arrive at ten in the morning? What are we doing up at five? Isn't it too early?"

He had been reading work documents until late last night and was extremely sleepy now.

"What do you know? This is Xiao Rang's first time visiting our house, so naturally I have to cook her a good meal. Just cooking the soup takes hours, so how can I not get up early?"

Song Wanqing quickened her pace and went downstairs. She first turned on all the lights on the first floor, then went to the room at the corner of the stairs to wake up the nanny Fang Jie, then walked into the kitchen, put on the apron, and turned around to put it on Zhou Xingwen.

"Help me wash and peel the onions, ginger and garlic, and then cook them, and then you can catch up on your sleep." Song Wanqing glanced at Zhou Xingwen's eyelids that were about to close with annoyance. She had already told him to clear out these two days.

He worked overtime until so late last night. If he falls asleep when he meets the girl later, he will see how she will deal with him.

"Okay." Zhou Xingwen closed his eyes tightly, adjusted his apron, and began to take out the onions and rinse them under the faucet.

At this time, Sister Fang hurriedly got up and walked into the kitchen. Seeing Zhou Xingwen here, she quickly snatched the dish from his hand and pushed him out, saying, "First, you should rest. My wife and I will be fine here."

Hearing this, Song Wanqing uttered an unhappy "tsk" sound, grabbed Zhou Xingwen's arm, frowned, and said, "Sister Fang, you may not know since you just came to our house, but we all have a division of labor and cooperation in our family. The kitchen is a place that both he and I must enter."

"Besides, his son is bringing his future daughter-in-law home today. Why is he leaving me to cook while he rests?"

Sister Fang came to work at the Zhou family through someone's introduction some time ago. When she heard Song Wanqing's words, she quickly waved her hand: "Oh, I have never heard of men entering the kitchen to cook. This is not good."

When she said the last sentence, Sister Fang deliberately lowered her voice.

Song Wanqing was too lazy to explain to her, so she turned around and started to clean up the food in her hands. She started to think about changing someone. She couldn't keep this Sister Fang. If she stayed in her house for a long time, they would have different ideas and she would be pissed to death.

Zhou Xingwen ignored Sister Fang and squeezed over to Song Wanqing. He splashed water from the tap on her hands and said jokingly, "Is our tigress angry?"

"Who are you calling a tigress?" Song Wanqing glared at Zhou Xingwen.

"It's me, it's me." Zhou Xingwen smiled and took another bunch of green onions. He stood beside Song Wanqing and told a few jokes from time to time. He only breathed a sigh of relief after he made her laugh.

Sister Fang was stunned watching from the side. She knew in her heart that she had said the wrong thing. She wanted to explain and apologize, but she couldn't get a word in. She could only stand aside silently and scrape the ginger.

Not long after, a baby's heart-wrenching cry was heard from upstairs, and even the kitchen on the first floor could hear it clearly.

"Is Xiaorui awake? I don't know if Sihan can take care of him alone." Song Wanqing listened to the incessant crying and turned around worriedly to look at Fang Qi in the stairwell.

Zhou Xingwen didn't even raise his head, concentrating on quickly cleaning the green onions in his hands, saying, "The child is crying, it's just a matter of eating, drinking, defecating and urinating, what's so difficult to deal with?"

Song Wanqing silently withdrew her gaze, curled her lips and said, "Oh, you are so casual about it."

"Then what can I do? He is not my son." Zhou Xingwen snorted coldly. Thinking of his son who had not returned home for several days, he was furious. He didn't care, so why should he, as a grandfather, care?

"If you don't care, then why did you bring him back in the first place? It's all your son's fault. I don't understand why one or two of you keep giving me so much worry." Song Wanqing vented her anger by breaking the cabbage in her hand.

Sister Fang listened to the gossip in fear, not daring to raise her head, and quietly shrank into the corner to do her own thing.

I don’t know how long it took, but the crying upstairs finally died down.

The car passed through a birch forest. Su Nan leaned on the passenger window curiously and looked at the scenery on both sides. He noticed that the buildings on both sides were small villas, and his surprise became more and more intense.

It was not until the car began to slow down and stopped next to a guard room that Su Nan withdrew his gaze and looked at Fang Yi in the driver's seat.

A young soldier in uniform bent down and peered inside. Seeing nothing unusual, he stood up, saluted, and said in a full voice, "Good morning, Mr. Zhou. Let me pass."

"Thanks, Xiaotian." Zhou Rang returned the greeting, started the car and drove forward.

Young Master Zhou...

Isn't this a bit too much of a ceremonial? And Su Nan noticed that the man just now had a real weapon on his waist.

"Zhou Rang, who are you?" Su Nan always thought that Zhou Rang was a rich kid like Chang Yelin, but today it refreshed her previous perception.

Zhou Rang not only had a little money, but also seemed to have some power in his family.

"What's the story?" Zhou Rang was amused by Su Nan's words. He took the time to turn his head and look at her with a smile on his face.

Su Nan looked at the increasingly exquisite small buildings and villas in front of her, her heart beating fast. She couldn't help but tighten her hand on the bag on her lap. She even stuttered in panic: "It's you, your father, your mother, what do your family members do?"

"Didn't I tell you that?" Zhou Rang concentrated on driving, frowning in confusion.

"Of course I didn't." Su Nan glared at him angrily, her cheeks puffed up.

"My father works in the government office, my mother is a doctor, and I..."

At this point, Zhou Rang seemed to want to say something, but abruptly cut himself off. He then turned his head and smiled, changing the subject: "There are too many other people, and some of them are unimportant, so I won't tell you. Anyway, you'll know when you meet them later."

"It's the same as if you didn't say anything." Su Nan muttered softly, thinking that he should just wait and see what happens. Zhou Rang is not reliable at all.

Fortunately, he had said before that his parents were kind and good-tempered and would not make things difficult for her, which made her feel relieved.

While driving, Zhou Rang kept feeling that there seemed to be something he had not told Su Nan, but he couldn't remember it for a moment, so he simply stopped thinking about it.

He didn't expect that the thing he didn't tell her would cause Su Nan to go berserk in Zhou's house.
