"Wow, this car looks more luxurious than your leader's car." Lin Yuemei bumped Su Qiangguo's shoulder.
"That's not true. Your daughter found you a son-in-law."
Su Qiangguo laughed and put the luggage into the trunk. They had never known how big Zhou Rang and Su Nan's business was, but now that they saw the car, they gradually had an idea of it.
He didn't care how rich Zhou Rang was, as long as he loved his daughter.
"Let's go eat first." Su Nan opened the back door of the car and invited them in with a smile.
"Where are we going to eat? My parents will treat us." Lin Yuemei patted her chest and waved her hand proudly.
Su Nan had just fastened his seat belt when he heard this. He smiled helplessly and turned to look at Lin Yuemei: "You are still being polite to your daughter. It's not easy for her to come to Beijing to see me. It must be me..."
Before Su Nan could finish his words, Lin Yuemei interrupted him: "Your dad just gave us a bonus last month. Let's eat it up."
"I've given all the money to your mother. You can do whatever you want with it." Su Qiangguo pretended to look distressed, which made the other three laugh.
"Okay then." Su Nan nodded, and without further ado, he drove away from the train station. As he drove, he said, "I called Zhou Rang and asked him to come over and accompany you two to visit Beijing."
"Oh, why are you bothering Xiao Zhou? He must be tired after running all the way here. Why don't you tell him not to come later?" Lin Yuemei immediately waved her hand disapprovingly.
"What's the big deal? He's very happy to come. I just made a small suggestion and he took the initiative to ask to come. Besides, Zhou Rangshi grew up in Beijing. He knows what there is to do here better than me." Su Nan explained with a smile.
"What does that mean? Isn't my brother-in-law very busy at work?" Su Yang, who was sitting in the passenger seat, turned his head to look at Su Nan and spoke for Lin Yuemei.
"That's right." Lin Yuemei nodded in agreement.
"Oh, what could be more important than spending time with me and you guys? Zhou Rang is already on his way and will probably arrive tomorrow. Don't be polite with him. If he knew you were like this, he'd be deliberately upset and think you didn't treat him as family."
Su Nan exaggerated his words a little, but he also knew that only by saying this would they slowly accept Zhou Rang's character and truly let him integrate into the family.
"It's your own decision. I'm not a mean mother-in-law." Lin Yuemei adjusted the red scarf around her neck and patted Su Nan.
"I know, hahaha." Su Nan was amused by her words and quickly joked, "Don't worry, even if others knew about this, everyone would praise Zhou Rang for being filial and would not say that you, as a mother, are making things difficult for your son-in-law."
"Silly girl." Lin Yuemei said this, but a smile appeared on her lips.
Su Nan first took them to a famous roast duck restaurant in Beijing, then ordered a table full of local delicacies, and finally secretly called the waiter to pay part of the bill in advance.
In the end, Lin Yuemei sighed that the prices in Beijing were much cheaper than those in Shanghai.
Su Yang was so busy eating that he didn't pay any attention to what was happening outside.
Only Su Qiangguo had an expression that said "I see through everything" and looked at Su Nan with a half-smile.
The latter quickly avoided Su Qiangguo's sight, poured soup for everyone, and introduced the customs and culture of Jing City: "This roast duck and these dishes are all famous dishes in Jing City. Eat more."
"I was wondering why I had never eaten these in other places. It turns out they are local specialties." Su Yang ate a piece of roast duck leg and smiled with his mouth full of oil.
Looking at his silly look, Su Nan couldn't help laughing out loud: "Wipe your mouth, you're like a little kitten."
"Isn't this too much to eat?" Hearing this, Su Yang remembered to pay attention to his appearance. He wiped the corners of his lips with tissue paper and smiled.
"Who do you think you are? You only eat what your brother-in-law cooks." Su Nan covered her lips and smiled, replying subconsciously.
"How do you know? Where did Uncle Zhou make it for you?" Lin Yuemei accurately grasped the key point in Su Nan's words, narrowed her eyes and looked at her, her eyes full of scrutiny.
Su Nan panicked, but remained calm and said, "The last time he came to see me at school, he brought me a lunch box and said he made it himself."
"Oh, I see." Lin Yuemei nodded, not intending to pursue the matter further, and continued eating.
"Hurry up and eat. We can't waste all the delicious food on the table." Su Nan breathed a sigh of relief when he saw this. He quickly picked up a piece of their favorite dish for Su Qiangguo, Lin Yuemei and Su Yang.
Ignoring the minor incident, this meal was both enjoyable and satisfying.
After asking them if they were tired, Su Nan drove them to Huaqing University for a walk. When they passed by "rich", he wanted to take them in to take a look, but was stopped by Lin Yuemei, who said to come back tomorrow.
Because Lin Yuemei said that they were exhausted from traveling and had not yet cleaned up. If they went to Su Nan's store like this, the employees would laugh at them in secret. It turned out that the parents of a big star were such sloppy people.
Su Nan didn't care about all this, but he couldn't resist Lin Yuemei's insistence, so he didn't stop the car and drove straight to Zhou Rang's home.
This beautiful little Western-style building drew exclamations from the Su family: "Is this also Xiao Zhou's?"
"Uh-huh."
Their daughter/sister really knows how to find the right partner. Isn’t she marrying into a happy family?
"I gave all my savings to Zhou Rang to buy land. When the funds start to flow, I will buy you a house like this for your retirement, and hire a few servants to help with cooking and housework." Su Nan opened the door and said his plan with a smile.
"Then I will really wake up laughing in my dreams." Lin Yuemei and Su Qiangguo smiled at each other, tears flashing in their eyes.
"Which room should I sleep in?" Su Yang's heartless voice sounded.
"You can choose any room on the first floor." Su Nan helped carry the luggage into the room and shouted in a loud voice.
"Then I want the room by the window. Mom and Dad, you can sleep opposite me." Su Yang quickly chose the room he liked, poked his head out from behind the door, and smiled.
"Okay, you little bastard, you're really quick." Su Qiangguo scolded him with a smile, then continued, "Then we'll live in the room opposite his."
"Yes, there is a bathroom next to the stairs. It has all the toiletries." Su Nan introduced the items inside to them, as well as all the furnishings on the first floor.
Seeing that they all looked tired, she let them rest for a while while she went upstairs.
Su Nan went upstairs to wash and take care of her skin, then lay down on the bed to prepare for sleep. For some reason, she felt a little sleepy and couldn't fall asleep for a long time.
Thinking that Tian still had to go to pick up Zhou Rang, he forced himself to close his eyes and started counting sheep.
"One sheep, two sheep, three sheep..."
