Chapter 10 What Happened to Qin Ying

Only parents as weird as Qin Shengcai's, so if the parents have said it, how can others not believe it?

She lowered her eyebrows to hide the coldness in her eyes. The Qin family was really shameless!

But she couldn't let them slaughter her like her original self did.

She looked quietly at the people in the room, her words filled with obvious anger:

"Dad, Mom, I know my parents told you some things about me and it caused you trouble, but I'm not a person with bad conduct. If I were a person with bad conduct and my relationship with Zhao Shunxi was improper, there would be no need for me to run around in the Chaoxian Guesthouse and offend everyone. If I were that kind of person, wouldn't it be better to just stay behind closed doors and solve the problem?"

She looked at Qin Meihua with cold eyes:

"I've also heard the rumors in the village that the person who had an affair with Zhao Shunxi... wasn't me!"

She looked at Qin Meihua meaningfully for a moment, then turned to Xu Jinshu:

"Mom, you're a university teacher. I'm sure you've heard the saying, 'A journey of a thousand miles reveals a horse's strength, and time reveals a person's true character.' A person's true nature cannot be hidden; it will eventually show itself."

Xu Jinshu frowned and looked at Qin Ying. Suddenly, he felt something strange. Qin Shengcai said that his little daughter was illiterate and timid when meeting others, but seeing her like this today...

Not at all!

Seeing Xu Jinshu remained silent for a long time, Qin Meihua bit her lip, looking like she was being wronged:

"Sister, that's not what I meant. I just wanted to explain to Auntie why I came back so early! Why are you preaching to me? Mom and Dad are doing this for your own good. If you were really obedient, how could you force them to say such things?"

Xu Jinshu looked at Qin Meihua and fell into deep doubt again. What Qin Meihua said made sense.

They knew what kind of person their father was, and it was because of this knowledge that the engagement took place. However, listening to the two sisters arguing, they could not tell who was telling the truth.

Qin Ying rolled her eyes, raised her eyes, her big, watery eyes were red and filled with tears, and she looked pitiful:

"Mom, my parents are urging me to divorce Captain Fu. They say the engagement wasn't mine and blame me for usurping the throne. They're worried I won't divorce and give the marriage to my sister, so they sold me to the village gangster Zhao Shunxi before the divorce. I didn't want to, so they tricked him into having me killed! Luckily, I met Captain Fu..."

Qin Ying looked at Fu Hanzhou, tears streaming down her face.

"Only then would Captain Fu see that scene..."

He didn't say anything else, looked terrified, and started crying.

Except for Qin Meihua, the others were stunned by Qin Ying's words.

Fu Hanzhou's scrutinizing eyes fell on her and he suddenly frowned. What happened in the county town proved that Qin Ying was coerced by Zhao Shunxi.

But she didn't know that her parents had already sold her to Zhao Shunxi. What kind of society is this? How could such a thing happen!

He frowned tightly, his eyes were a little cold, and his tense jawline showed his depressed mood at the moment.

Are the Qin family's parents so bold? Qin Ying is still his legal wife, and it's a military marriage. Breaking a military marriage means going to jail.

Is it because of this that Zhao Shunxi dared to be so bold?

He looked at Qin Ying's pitiful appearance and always felt that it was a little... deliberate!

But I also feel that those deliberate and real feelings are really contradictory.

He withdrew his gaze and stopped looking at Qin Ying. It seemed that with so many people around, someone must be lying.

Seeing that Xu Jinshu and Fu Qixun were both frowning deeply, Qin Meihua glared at Qin Ying viciously. She really underestimated her. She actually dared to say that. It seemed that she was determined not to divorce!

She looked at Qin Ying and said with a sad face:

"Sister, do you still have a conscience? Was it easy for your parents to raise you? When did they sell you off? You are the youngest child in the family. They love and care for you so much, how could they sell you off?"

She held Xu Jinshu's hand, tears falling on the back of her hand, and continued to cry:

"Auntie, what era is this? My parents just want us to go our separate ways. Even if my sister doesn't want to divorce Brother Hanzhou, she should find a reasonable excuse. She speaks so viciously about my parents... It's really disrespectful!"

Qin Meihua said this with a sad look on her face. She was accusing Qin Ying of being a clueless and unfilial bastard.

When Xu Jinshu heard what Qin Meihua said, his brows relaxed. She was right. It was a different era now, and there were still parents selling their children?

She looked at Qin Ying, her eyes filled with more suspicion, and her face became serious:

"Qin Ying, no matter what happens between you and Han Zhou, you can't lie! Lying is wrong. Given your father's character, how could he do such a thing as selling out his own children?"

Qin Meihua looked at Qin Ying viciously and complacently, falsely accusing her parents of selling their son and daughter. How stupid!

She is indeed a rural woman without any cultural knowledge!

Qin Ying's tears fell even harder, and her expression became even sadder:

"Mom, I didn't lie, look..."
