Wei Zhuolan looked at her with a warm smile:
"Yes, it's rare for the top scorer in the college entrance examination to be admitted to a medical school. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that cannot be wasted. On behalf of the medical school, I invite you to write an article. First, it should be about your outlook for the new semester and the future, and second, it should express encouragement to the younger students who will apply to the medical school next year."
Before Qin Ying could express her opinion, Chen Xuanhan agreed and said:
"That's a great idea. Top scorers in the college entrance exam aren't everywhere, and since you two know each other, this is a perfect opportunity to promote yourself."
Qin Ying inexplicably felt a little reluctant to write this. If it weren't for the publicity about the top scorer in the college entrance examination, everyone would like to be a doctor.
It sounds good, but it's dirty work.
Besides, getting into medical school is not easy.
Seeing that she didn't say anything, Wei Zhuolan handed the manuscript in his hand to Chen Xuanhan and said to her:
"Don't think it's difficult. I'll explain it to you in detail later."
Uncle Chen took the manuscript from him, flipped through it briefly, and nodded:
"Okay, wait until Qin Ying hands me the article and I finalize it. Then you can discuss the word count as soon as possible."
"good."
Wei Zhuolan stood up and walked towards Qin Ying.
When he stood in front of her, he whispered to Qin Ying:
"Let's find a quiet place and I'll explain my requirements to you in detail."
Qin Ying frowned slightly. He didn't insist on finding a place alone when talking to Chen Xuanhan just now.
Seeing her hesitation, Wei Zhuolan seemed to guess her thoughts and said:
"Just in the hallway."
Qin Ying looked outside:
"good."
When the two of them stood still in the corridor, the first thing Wei Zhuolan said was:
"I heard something bad, are you... okay?"
After saying this, the look in his eyes when he looked at her was even more intense and earnest than just now in the office, as if no one else was around.
Qin Ying was stunned and felt very uncomfortable.
There was undisguised concern and heartache in his eyes.
Suddenly I realized what he was referring to.
"Thank you, Teacher Wei. I'm fine."
Qin Ying acted politely and distantly, her tone calm.
"Seeing that you can cheer up, I am very happy and... relieved."
Wei Zhuolan was talking to himself, feeling relieved, and didn't notice Qin Ying's sudden frown.
He came today not only because he wanted to print a new journal, but also because he heard about Qin Ying being raped by someone these days.
When he heard the news, he was so shocked that he didn't know what to do.
I immediately went to the military compound, but when I got there I found out that Qin Ying had come to the publishing house.
So he came to me under the pretext of printing a new journal.
Although he saw that Qin Ying was fine now, he believed that Qin Ying must be sad in her heart.
After all, it was Fu Hanzhou who failed to protect her, which led to such a serious incident.
I spoke to her alone just to ask her if she was okay.
Perhaps because it had been a long time since the incident, Qin Ying didn't seem to be much affected by it.
In his heart, he hoped that Fu Hanzhou was a pedantic person and would divorce Qin Ying, but he also hoped that he was a tolerant person and would not have any bad prejudices against Qin Ying.
After what happened, it was even harder for his mother to accept Qin Ying.
However, since he gave the gift, he believed that Qin Ying had seen the bookmark.
She didn't step back or say anything, and it seemed that she accepted his feelings.
So, even if something like that happened to her, as long as she divorced Fu Hanzhou, he would try his best to persuade his mother to accept Qin Ying.
Looking at Wei Zhuolan's expression, Qin Ying felt a little confused. What was he so excited about?
"Teacher Wei, do you have any specific requirements for this article?"
Wei Zhuolan withdrew his thoughts and looked at her with burning eyes:
"Well...anything is fine. Feel free to express yourself. For example, your insights, aspirations, plans, advice, and suggestions can all be included. After all, what the top scorer writes is very valuable."
He called Qin Ying outside the door not to make any requests to her, but to talk to her in private.
Seeing how casually he spoke, Qin Ying was surprised:
"What about the word count?"
"About two thousand words, and put it in the most prominent position at the beginning of the journal. I believe this issue will be the most sensational one."
As Wei Zhuolan spoke, a look of longing appeared on his face.
"Okay, now I've finished writing it... Should I give it directly to you, or to Uncle Chen?"
"Don't give it to him!"
He spoke a little too hastily, which didn't seem right, so he slowed down his speech:
“…Give it to me, and I’ll come again.”
Then he added:
"I need to take a look at the content first, and then layout it with the other manuscripts."
"Okay, then I'll...get back to work!"
Qin Ying smiled slightly, turned around and walked into the office.
"Wait a moment!"
As soon as he turned around, Wei Zhuolan grabbed his arm.
"Don't leave in a hurry."
Suddenly being pulled, she subconsciously looked at the hand he was holding. Wei Zhuolan quickly let go of her hand as if it was scalded.
"I'm sorry, I got a little anxious."
Qin Ying felt a little uncomfortable, pursed her lips, withdrew her eyes from her arm, and asked frankly:
"Teacher Wei, is there anything else you want to tell me?"
Wei Zhuolan had just pulled Qin Ying's hand and quietly put it behind his back, and his fingers couldn't help but tighten.
There was something strange in my heart, and my ears were slightly red. I asked about my mood and coughed lightly:
"I heard you opened a shop on the commercial street?"
Qin Ying didn't notice his change and nodded:
"School is about to start, so we can't set up a stall, so we discussed and opened a shop, which has only been a few days."
