Chapter 227 Probably Too Tired

After sending Qin Ying home, Fu Hanzhou went to the army. Without a doubt, Xiaocheng would pick her up and drop her off for the next two days.

Qin Ying didn't even see the shadow of Fu Hanzhou at home.

But she didn't know that Xiaocheng reported her situation to Fu Hanzhou every day.

But for two consecutive days, Fu Hanzhou did not hear Qin Ying's words of concern for him from Xiaocheng's mouth.

How heartless!

The performance was tonight, so Xiaocheng returned to the army after sending Qin Ying off.

Report Qin Ying's updates in a timely manner.

After listening to Xiaocheng's report, Fu Hanzhou stared at the red and blue marks on the battle map, his pencil turning repeatedly between his fingers but not putting it down.

Xiaocheng said that Wei Zhuolan was waiting for her at the school gate, and then the two of them went in together.

The sound of soldiers training on the playground came from outside the window. He suddenly slammed his pen on the table, causing the tea leaves in the cup to swirl.

Ever since the quarrel and the cold war with Qin Ying, he has been staying in the army for the past two days.

He was originally very angry about the closeness between Qin Ying and Wei Zhuolan, but after not seeing her for the past two days, he felt inexplicably empty in his heart.

Xiaocheng said that Qin Ying had been practicing in the auditorium until late at night these past two days, and checking the program list side by side with Wei Zhuolan. These words were affecting his thoughts all the time.

He loosened the button on his collar, stood up and walked to the window, looking at the winding path outside the camp.

The last time Qin Ying came to the army to find him, she stood there looking at him.

He thought for a while, then sat down again, suppressed his irritation, and looked at the latest strategic deployment.

"Report!"

Gu Ping'an pushed the door open and walked in, his body as straight as a poplar tree.

The white orchid brooch was replaced with a cold, hard silver badge of the art troupe.

She placed the documents on the table, and her words lacked her usual enthusiasm and flattery, speaking in a businesslike manner.

"Captain Fu, there are new documents that need your signature."

Fu Hanzhou didn't even raise his head, his pen scratching on the paper:

"Leave it there."

Gu Ping'an's eyes fell on the strategic map in his hand, and he suddenly chuckled:

"Captain Fu, do you still have the time to study the battle map? Be careful, the backyard may be lost soon."

Fu Hanzhou's eyebrows moved slightly, and he slowly raised his head, his inquiring eyes sweeping across her provocative eyes:

"When did Comrade Gu Ping'an become an intelligence dealer?"

He smiled coldly:

"He's in charge of more matters than a combat staff officer."

“I dare not!”

Gu Ping'an pushed the seating chart of the military district leaders and the list of performers of the art troupe in front of him:

"Captain Fu, please sign!"

Fu Hanzhou glanced at the document and didn't take it. This was all Gu Ping'an would say in front of him.

It's really annoying.

He raised his eyelids and gave her a cold look, then pulled the document in front of him, picked up the pen, and began to sign with great enthusiasm.

Gu Ping'an stood aside, silently gazing at Fu Hanzhou's handsome and focused profile, with complex emotions flashing in her eyes: love, jealousy, sadness... Her gaze used to always linger on him greedily.

But now she realized that it was a poison that ate away at her bones and tore at her heart. She dug her nails deep into her palms, suppressing the dull pain in her heart. The corners of her mouth curved up in a meaningful arc:

"Captain Fu has been busy with official duties lately, so he probably hasn't noticed. The school is going crazy. Wei Zhuolan even turned down a transfer from the Propaganda Department in order to stay in the medical school."

After a pause, Gu Ping'an leaned forward slightly to get closer to him. The familiar smell of tobacco wafted over her from Fu Hanzhou. That smell made her heart numb with pain, but she smiled wantonly.

"But what's even more interesting is that Wei Zhuolan is now even using Wei Zhongchao's reputation to just get a spot. Captain Fu, guess what kind of big deal could have caused him to be so inconsistent?"

Fu Hanzhou's hand holding the pen suddenly tightened, the ink smeared on the paper, his eyes sharp as a knife:

"Ping An, what do you want to say?"

"I'm just worried about affecting the progress of the show."

Gu Ping'an raised the corner of his mouth, with a hint of coldness in his eyes:

"After all, Qin Ying has been attracting too much attention recently. She rehearses alone with Wei Zhuolan until late at night every day, and even her classmates have misunderstood..."

She suddenly lowered her voice:

"Some things, if spread too much, become true even if they are false."

“That’s enough!”

Fu Hanzhou stood up suddenly, and the chair scraped against the ground with a harsh sound.

Gu Pingan did not retreat but advanced, looking at his tense jawline with a half-smile:

"Why is Captain Fu so angry? I just think that when one person breaks principles for another and uses connections... this kind of 'friendship' is bound to make people think too much."

She put away the scattered documents on the table, and with a sneer on her face, she continued to fan the flames:

"Qin Ying is indeed charming. So many people are willing to throw themselves into the fire for her."

Moth to a flame?

Zhao Shunxi? Wei Zhuolan?

Fu Hanzhou's expression became increasingly ugly. Her words were like a blunt knife, repeatedly scratching his heart.

"Ping An, you'd better think it over carefully before you speak."

There was no emotion in his eyes and his voice was as cold as ice.

"I'm reminding Captain Fu."

Gu Ping'an held the document in his arms, and lifted his hair with one hand in a very charming way, and the end of his hair deliberately brushed against Fu Hanzhou's arm.

She lowered her voice, with some gloating:

"Some people pretend to be pitiful on the surface, but they are actually doing something behind the scenes..."

She lowered her head, looked at Fu Hanzhou's signature on the document, and said meaningfully:

"Just like this ink color, it's bottomless!"

She turned and walked out quickly, slamming the door behind her.

Looking at her departing back, Fu Hanzhou gripped the pen tightly, almost breaking it.
