Chapter 76 Do You Know She Is a White Lotus?

When I walked out of the breakfast shop, the midday sun was scorching.

Guard Xiaocheng parked the car in front. As for Gu Ping'an, Qin Ying and Fu Hanzhou, they did not continue to go back. Some things were not convenient to let more people know.

Qin Ying clutched her handkerchief tightly and stood in front of Fu Hanzhou in silence. After a long while, she tentatively asked:

"Fu Hanzhou, do you think... this matter has anything to do with Gu Ping'an?"

Qin Ying raised her eyes and looked at him quietly.

Fu Hanzhou frowned slightly, met her gaze with a hint of doubt in his eyes, and spoke slowly:

"There are some clues pointing to her now. I understand you're suspicious, but I can't be sure yet. She has too close a relationship with me and our family.

Our two families know each other very well, a close friendship forged on the battlefield. I've known her for many years and have a certain understanding of her character, but this matter is indeed strange. Regardless of whether there is a connection or not, all suspicions remain mere speculation."

His voice was low, with a barely perceptible hint of hesitation.

learn?

Do you know that she is a white lotus?

"How well do you know her? She's the mainstay of the art troupe, gentle, beautiful, considerate, impeccable, and a female soldier. So, I don't even want to use the word 'suspect' to describe her. It's just a guess."

Qin Ying's tone was a little bad. She pursed her lips, glanced at his face, sighed silently, turned her head to look away, and stopped talking.

Seeing her reaction, Fu Hanzhou's heart tightened, feeling somewhat helpless. He continued to consider his words carefully:

"Qin Ying, I understand your anger and grievance about being framed, and I also understand your desire to find out the truth, but we need to be more cautious about this matter. We can't just say it was her based on a handkerchief!"

"It is true that a handkerchief alone cannot absolutely suspect her, but no one else has such a motive except her."

She pursed her lips tightly, feeling inexplicably irritated.

Couldn't Fu Hanzhou have thought of this? Just because she was his childhood sweetheart, he didn't want to doubt her, or didn't want to doubt her?

She glanced at Fu Hanzhou. She had diarrhea before the exam, but he didn't say anything. That was his attitude.

The more she thought about it, the more upset she became. She just wanted to find out the truth. Apart from Gu Ping'an, she really couldn't find anyone else to suspect.

I felt a breath stuck in my chest, and I couldn't help but say it:

"Fu Hanzhou, there are so many signs pointing to Gu Ping'an, but you believe her unconditionally just because of her relationship with you and your two families. Is it possible that in your heart, human feelings are more important than facts?"

"I believe what you said, that there's no special relationship between you and her, but this matter now concerns my being framed, and it concerns fairness and justice. I thought you were a rational and principled person, someone who only looks at the facts and isn't swayed by emotions. It seems... you're not!"

Qin Ying's tone was filled with obvious resentment and grievance. She bit her lips tightly, clenched her hands unconsciously, turned her face to the side, and no longer looked at him.

She rarely showed such emotions. Seeing her body trembling slightly with excitement, Fu Hanzhou felt a little flustered and had an urge to hold her in his arms.

But I still managed to hold it back.

He is a soldier and he is outside, he can't do this!

Qin Ying slowly calmed down. Her anger and disappointment were not just because of Fu Hanzhou's unconditional trust in Gu Ping'an.

Rather, it was because his unfair principles and bottom line were a gap that was more difficult for her to accept than emotional betrayal.

Fu Hanzhou listened to her questioning quietly. In her eyes, he had become a person who was easily swayed by emotions.

He lowered his eyes to look at Qin Ying, his gaze fell on the top of her head, and his tone was sincere:

"Qin Ying, I'm not being swayed by emotion. I just don't want to convict her based on these specious clues without solid evidence. I'm a soldier with responsibilities. I should treat everyone with caution and fairness. I won't be partial because of personal feelings, nor can I make unfounded accusations."

Qin Ying had no expression on her face, and her words were indifferent and distant:

"Yes, you're a soldier. Gu Ping'an isn't a suspect at all. Do you believe that? You don't doubt her only because of your preconceived notion of her. In that case, let's wait and see what kind of person she is. I believe that time will reveal a person's true character."

Fu Hanzhou felt a little frustrated. After saying so much, he was still defined by Qin Ying.

"I understand that you have been wronged. Regardless of whether it was Gu Ping'an or not, I will give you an explanation. Don't worry!"

"I want to go back!"

After Qin Ying finished speaking, she turned around and walked back. Fu Hanzhou followed her and wanted to say something to her, but he felt that Qin Ying no longer wanted to talk.

When the two returned to the car, Xiaocheng quickly discovered that Fu Tuan and his wife were having another conflict.

Along the way, he looked in the rearview mirror countless times. Fu Tuan was really something.

Such a beautiful daughter-in-law always makes people angry and doesn't know how to be gentle and considerate to her.

After seeing it so many times, Fu Hanzhou glared at him in the rearview mirror with a gloomy face:

"Your eye is twitching, drive your car carefully!"

Xiaocheng was not afraid of being scolded by him. He nodded at Fu Hanzhou and Qin Ying who was looking outside the car. The meaning of his expression was self-evident.

Fu Hanzhou said unhappily:

"If you keep talking nonsense, get out of the car and walk back!"

After hearing this, Xiaocheng didn't dare to make any more glances and drove seriously.

Qin Ying turned her head and looked at them both in confusion, then gave Fu Hanzhou a fierce look. What's wrong with this guy? He always punishes others! ?

Fu Hanzhou was stunned by Qin Ying's behavior and felt a little amused. He scared Xiaocheng because he was worried that she would feel embarrassed.
