As soon as he reached the first floor, Shiqi smelled the fragrance of food.
Following the scent, Shiqi walked through the villa hall and headed towards the back room.
Gu Chijin took the last dish out of the pot and saw Shi Qi appear behind him, with a warm look in his eyes.
"Are you up? Wash your hands and have breakfast."
Shi Qi glanced at his hand and saw several plates of crisp and refreshing side dishes. He swallowed and nodded.
"Okay, I'll go right away."
After turning around to wash my hands in the sink, Gu Chijin had already brought the porridge and side dishes.
Shi Qi followed him closely, helping to receive the dishes and pick up the chopsticks.
Sitting at the table, Shi Qi lowered his head and tasted the meat porridge, and his taste buds were very satisfied.
Gu Chijin got up early and stewed the meat porridge until it was soft, tender, salty and fragrant.
After drinking it, Shiqi felt his whole body warm up.
Gu Chijin picked up an egg with chopsticks for her and looked at her puffy little face as she chewed it. He was inexplicably reminded of the hamster he had seen in the mountains.
The furry tail, small claws, and the cute look when holding pine nuts and eating them highly resembled Shiqi in front of him.
"What do you want for lunch? I'll make it for you."
Since he couldn't go back to the army and the military family compound these days, Gu Chijin planned to stay here and cook a few meals for Shi Qi.
Shi Qi raised his eyebrows slightly, swallowed the porridge in his mouth, and then said:
"Anything is fine. As long as it's made by you, I like it."
Gu Chijin laughed.
After not seeing each other for a while, Shi Qi actually started to say nice things to make people happy.
Shi Qi reached out and picked up some vegetables with his chopsticks. Suddenly, he thought of something and said:
"But it's best not to make soup."
Gu Chijin kept smiling and looked at her with a little doubt.
Shi Qi smiled and complained to Gu Chijin about the food in the capital:
“You don’t know, when I was in the capital, my mother made nourishing soup for me every day.
He added all kinds of medicinal herbs to the soup and made me drink a bowl of it with every meal.
To the point that now I feel like vomiting when I see tonic soup.”
Gu Chijin raised his dark eyebrows, not knowing what this was about.
However, Shiqi doesn't like drinking soup, so he doesn't make soup.
"Okay. I'll stir-fry a few dishes for you at noon.
However, your body is not in good condition right now and you cannot eat spicy food.
I won’t add chili pepper to your meal.”
Gu Chijin knew that Shi Qi liked spicy food, but she was injured and taking medication, and eating chili peppers would affect the effects of the medicine.
For the sake of her health, Gu Chijin has no plans to satisfy all her appetites for the time being.
Shi Qi drank his porridge and nodded:
"Okay, just leave out the chili."
There is obvious pain in the wrists and feet, which affects walking and eating.
Shi Qi knew that Gu Chijin was doing this for her own good, and she had never thought about eating spicy food while she was injured.
After breakfast, Gu Chijin asked Shi Qi to go upstairs to rest, and he went to the kitchen to clean up the dishes.
"Gu Chijin, I want to wash my hair, can you help me?"
After Shi Qi went upstairs and brushed his teeth, he saw his frizzy hair and felt very upset.
She was too tired yesterday and felt something. Now that she had recovered a little, she found that her hair, which had not been washed for several days, was very greasy.
Gu Chijin responded to her every request, put the bowl in the cupboard, and nodded at her:
"Go upstairs and wait for a moment. I'll come up as soon as I boil some water."
"Thank you." Shi Qi smiled and thanked Gu Chijin, then turned and went upstairs in his helpless eyes.
Gu Chijin worked quickly and prepared enough hot water in just ten minutes.
After taking the hot water to the bathroom upstairs and getting enough cold water to mix it, Gu Chijin let Shi Qi in after making all the preparations.
Shi Qi walked into the bathroom happily, but the smile on his face wilted before it even bloomed.
"Uh, the sink in the bathroom is too high. It's not convenient for me to wash."
Gu Chijin estimated the distance between Shi Qi and the sink and found that it was indeed inappropriate.
"It's okay. I'll go outside and bring in some stools."
Before Shi Qi could react, he saw Gu Chijin turn around and walk out of the bathroom.
A minute later, Shi Qi looked at the two wide wooden stools in Gu Chijin's hands and felt worried:
"What are you doing with this? Are you asking me to lie on it and wash it?"
A doting smile appeared on Gu Chijin's lips:
"There's no need to lie down, just sleep."
Shi Qi's eyes widened, trying to digest what he meant.
It took a while to understand:
"You want me to lie on the chair with my head sticking out and you wash me?"
When Shiqi thought of that posture, his neck started to ache.
Gu Chijin put two long benches together and let Shi Qi lie on them. He then got a stool of the same height and sat in the same direction, putting her head on his knees.
Shi Qi was confused by him:
“If I rest my head on your legs, your pants will get wet.
Put me back on the stool."
Shi Qi struggled to get up, but was easily pushed back onto Gu Chijin's legs.
Taking out a dry towel, Gu Chijin bent down, soaked it in water, and gently wet Shi Qi's hair.
Shi Qi moved uncomfortably, resting his head on Gu Chijin's warm legs, feeling inexplicably uncomfortable.
She had never rested her head on someone's legs like this before.
No one had ever taken care of her like this before.
Gu Chijin is the first one.
Maybe, and the last one.
His chest seemed to be filled with light feathers, and he felt warm and relaxed.
Closing his eyes and feeling Gu Chijin's big palm moving through his hair, Shi Qi's smile brightened.
"Tokisu."
Just as Shi Qi was immersed in this heartwarming atmosphere, Gu Chijin's low voice suddenly sounded above his head.
Opening his eyes, Shi Qi looked up from this angle and saw the same handsome face with no blind spots.
"Well, what's wrong?"
