Chapter 9 The Show

Chapter 9 The Show

Old Qian was constantly on edge.

He didn't know whether he should trust that woman.

But he had no other choice.

The Zheng family and those two families were determined to drive him to his death, yet the burden of their entire families fell on his shoulders.

He couldn't even bring himself to demand their lives.

The woman's condition was a little better than before when the food was delivered to her ward this time.

"Old Qian, I don't know what's going on, those bastards haven't come over these past few days." She poured her husband a glass of hot water and brought up what had happened.

Old Qian tightened his grip on the cup.

For some reason, he subconsciously thought of the woman who claimed to be a thug.

......

It seems that Zheng Yiqing did not come to school today.

But both teachers and students are used to it.

After all, he was a young nobleman, and whether he came to school or not depended entirely on his mood.

The preparatory bell rang throughout the campus, and soon, students flocked back to the teaching buildings, leaving the once bustling playground empty and quiet.

“Nice sea view room, young master.” Xin Que released the gun butt from the driver’s back and swiftly knocked out the man who had led the way. “He lives alone.”

Zheng Yiqing had just come down from the second floor, still grumbling and cursing, when he saw his driver unconscious in the living room and a strange man with a murderous aura looking at him. He immediately sobered up.

"Bang!"

The boy, who turned to run up the stairs, was roughly pulled down the stairs and then fell down at the bottom of the stairs.

"Who the hell are you?!" Zheng Yiqing cursed, "Do you know whose son I am?! If you dare touch me, I'll..."

The cold, hard muzzle of the gun was shoved directly into his mouth.

When Zheng Yiqing realized that the man was holding a gun, he broke out in a cold sweat.

"Shut up?" Xin Que pulled out her gun and tapped him on the cheek. "Why aren't you cursing anymore?"

Zheng Yiqing finally realized that the other party was probably a crazy person who was taking a risk. He was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat and trembled, no longer daring to be arrogant.

Xin Que struck the back of his head with the butt of her rifle, and the boy immediately went limp.

Carrying her target outside, Xin Que glanced at the unconscious driver on the ground.

Strange, I clearly saw him press the SOS button, so why is there no alarm?

Xin Que simply pressed the SOS button for him again.

This kidnapping was a calculated move to make an example of someone, and the more people present, the better.

After tossing the replica gun into the passenger seat and stuffing the tightly bound Zheng Yiqing into the trunk, Xin Que drove her patched-up but still drivable little car back to the abandoned factory she had found in advance on the outskirts of the city.

Zheng Yiqing woke up in the middle of the night.

"You're awake?" Xin Que stood in front of him, watching the boy with his mouth gagged look at her with a terrified gaze before frantically shrinking into the corner.

Xin Que grabbed his hair. "Do you know why I tied you up?"

With the gag removed from Zheng Yiqing's mouth, he was finally able to speak, "I...I don't know..."

Considering that the other party was armed, Zheng Yiqing ultimately dared not confront him directly.

"Don't know?" Xin Que frowned and slapped him across the face. With a "smack," Zheng Yiqing's face immediately swelled up.

Zheng Yiqing was so dizzy from the slap that he had never been so humiliated in his life.

He couldn't keep up the act any longer; his arrogant arrogance was about to burst forth again. "You motherfucker..."

"Bang!" Zheng Yiqing's angry face contorted in pain from his abdomen. Before he could react, there was another crisp sound of joints grinding together.

"Ah!!!" Zheng Yiqing could no longer hold on and screamed. The excruciating pain of his dislocated arm made him writhe on the ground, but he could not escape the man's grip.

"I was wrong...I was wrong!!!" Zheng Yiqing cried out in despair, "Stop hitting me!!!"

His kidnappers seemed to have heard a satisfactory answer and temporarily stopped beating him.

His arrogance was completely crushed.

"Why did you tie me up..." Zheng Yiqing was covered in sweat, his whole body trembling uncontrollably from the excruciating pain. "Are you Qian Xiaoxiao's relative? Are you here to stand up for her?"

Xin Que clicked his tongue.

"You misspoke." Xin Que said expressionlessly, drawing a military knife from her lower back and brandishing it directly at his lower eyelid. "I am the enemy of your parents."

Zheng Yiqing was taken aback.

Xin Que loves to stir up trouble whenever she appears.

When the enemy thinks they've been targeted by a low-level vengeful spirit, tell them that this isn't the only enemy who wants them dead, whether openly or secretly...

At this point, the hostages would show the same terrified expression as Zheng Yiqing.

After all, no matter how reckless someone acts, standing up for a girl with no background is still less than an ant in his family.

But what if the other party is an enemy of the head of the Zheng family...?

That's not necessarily true.

The playboy had never seen a desperate person from the lower class, but during his upbringing, he had truly witnessed business warfare involving hiring assassins to kill each other's families for profit.

"The Zheng family's business is quite large, isn't it? They owe suppliers for unfinished and dangerous buildings, not a single one of them is missing..." Xin Que lowered her voice and slowly sank the tip of the knife into the flesh of Zheng Yiqing's arm, then stepped on Zheng Yiqing, who was about to struggle and scream in pain.

"Little brother," Xin Que's urgent voice rang in the ears of the boy who was on the verge of fainting, "what do you say?"

"It has nothing to do with me!" Zheng Yiqing completely broke down, trembling as he begged for mercy, "I'm just a minor, I don't know anything!"

"Please, please let me go. I'll have my parents send you money..."

"My family is rich! My family is rich!"

"Do you think I'm short of money?" Xin Que patted his face with the back of her knife, her face full of disdain.

Zheng Yiqing shrank back again, his voice trembling uncontrollably with fear and pain, "Then what do you want?"

Xin Que twirled her knife, her calm and collected expression revealing nothing about why she would take such a risk to kidnap someone.

The silent silence made Zheng Yiqing's nerves tense as he anxiously awaited Xin Que's reply.

Those few minutes felt like an eternity.

After a long silence, Xin Que's deliberately disguised voice finally rang out, "Who told you to be the only son of the Zheng family?"

"Of course I'll kill you, just to upset your parents."

Zheng Yiqing's tense nerves could no longer hold. He looked at the military knife that was gradually approaching him, and with his wounds all over his body, he was so frightened that he frantically shrank into the corner.

"No... please let me go, please let me go!"

"I'll give you anything you want... please don't kill me, I have an older sister from the Zhou family!!!"

"If you really make a move against me, she and the Zhou family won't let you off the hook!"

The teenage boy was going through puberty, and his hoarse, wailing voice hurt Xin Que's ears.

He was completely panicked and desperate, mixing pleas with desperate threats, willing to use any trump card he had to gamble with.
