Chapter 316 Big Brother, I'm Sorry

Di Chenxiao took Shi Xi's hand, pulled her into his arms, and rested his chin on her shoulder. "Xi Xi, if this matter can't be resolved, there's no solution."

Shi Xi is open, how should he deal with this fact?

A cold tear fell onto Shi Xi's neck. "Xi Xi, Xi Xi... Xi Xi."

"I am here."

After a while, Di Chenxiao went upstairs to take a shower, while Shi Xi ate breakfast alone downstairs.

But today I have no appetite and don't want to eat.

She could tell that Xiao Xiao was very sad, but she didn't know what had happened or how to comfort him.

When Di Chenxiao came downstairs, the food on the dining table was exactly the same as when he left.

"No appetite? I'm sorry, I'm fine now. I've thought about it and I think you're right. I should put things aside and talk about them later."

"You've really figured it out?" Shi Xi didn't believe it. He had looked so worried just a moment ago, but he was fine after taking a shower.

"Really, I'm not lying to you." He didn't have enough evidence to prove that Shi Xi was Kai, but he still had a sliver of hope that Shi Xi wasn't Kai.

"It's good that you've figured it out. I was most afraid you'd get stuck on it. I didn't have an appetite last night because I drank too much, it's not your fault." She rubbed her flat stomach.

"Take me home. I didn't go home last night, and I don't know if my brother will scold me."

Di Chenxiao took two boxes of freshly made mango mille-feuille and carried them in his hands.

"I'll take you back, and you can eat when you're hungry."

"I promise I'll only eat when I'm hungry," Shi Xi quickly assured her.

Reality slapped her in the face; she ate both of them right there in the car.

"I...it's all your fault. Why did you make it so delicious? Those two were calling to me, and I just went along with their request, so I...ate it."

She was hungry, really hungry, she hadn't eaten enough for breakfast.

Di Chenxiao said in a serious tone, "It's my fault."

He seemed to have done too little. He had expected that Xixi would eat both mango mille-feuille cakes, after all... Xixi's appetite... cough, is a bit big.

The car stopped in front of the Shi family's house. Shi Xi didn't let Di Chenxiao get out of the car. Cough cough, her older brother was a bit scary, and she was afraid he would hit her.

"It's late, I'll go in with you." Di Chenxiao got out of the car first and opened the car door for Shi Xi.

Before she could understand what Di Chenxiao meant, she got out of the car and saw Shi Hao waiting for them at the door.

"If my brother hits me, you have to stop him; if he hits you, I'll block it for you," she muttered softly.

You can't blame her for feeling guilty. She did something wrong first. She went to a bar to drink and then went back to Xiyuan with Xiaoxiao without even saying hello to them. That was really wrong.

I guess I drank too much yesterday. Drinking alcohol gives me courage, and I was right.

But now that she's sober and her mind is clear, her courage has returned to what it used to be.

It wasn't that she was afraid of her older brother; it was just that he was too good to her and he was doing it for her own good. The only thing she could do was to avoid causing trouble and not add to her brother's burdens.

It took Shi Xi five minutes to walk a distance that was only a few steps.

Shi Xi said with a forced smile, "Good morning, brother. You haven't gone to work yet."

"I made millet porridge. You drank a lot of alcohol last night, so your stomach must be upset this morning. Come in!" Shi Hao turned around and went into the house, serving two bowls of millet porridge to Shi Xi and Di Chenxiao, one for each of them.

Under Shi Hao's gaze, Shi Xi struggled to drink a bowl of porridge, then put down the bowl. "Big brother, I'm sorry, I... I was wrong. I don't know what came over me yesterday, I just wanted to drink some wine."

To my surprise, all the drinks at the bar were beckoning me to try them. Since I'd only gone once in a while, I felt bad refusing their invitation, so I... had a little... a few bottles... that's all.
