Chapter 384 Did you kick Xiao Xiao off the bed?

Shi Xi jumped off the swing, raising an eyebrow slightly, "At your insistence, I've given my permission."

Di Chenxiao bent over, waiting for her to jump on.

She suddenly jumped onto Di Chenxiao's back, wrapped her arms around his neck, and tightly encircled his waist with her legs.

His arms were supporting Shi Xi's bottom, which was a little hot to the touch. "Loosen your grip a little, you're holding me too tight, I can't breathe."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm a little worried that you won't be able to carry me."

"Where did all that food you ate go? You feel as light as a leaf."

Shi Shuye Xi: "Can I take that as a compliment on how thin I am?"

"..."

In the middle of the night, Shi Xi woke up needing to urinate and wanted to go to the bathroom.

She sat up groggily, squinting her eyes, and followed the familiar route to the restroom.

She drank a lot of milk tea tonight; she should have known better than to drink so much.

She climbed back onto the bed, following the same route she had taken.

However, she rolled from one end of the bed to the other, but still couldn't touch Di Chenxiao's body.

Shi Xi lay half-lying on the bed, scratched her head, and muttered, "Could it be that I was sleeping too restlessly and kicked Xiao Xiao off the bed?"

She rubbed her eyes, but still couldn't open them. "Xiao Xiao, are you on the ground?"

No one answered.

She went back to the bathroom, washed her face, and felt much more awake. She then began searching the room for the missing Di Chenxiao.

They searched the entire room but couldn't find Di Chenxiao.

Where did Xiao Xiao go in the middle of the night?

Shi Xi stepped out of the room. The corridor on the second floor was brightly lit, and the living room on the first floor was also as bright as day. If it weren't for the stars and moon hanging in the sky outside, one might mistake it for daytime.

To prevent Shi Xi from waking up in the middle of the night and being afraid of the darkness, Di Chenxiao had all the lights turned on at Xiyuan every evening since she came to the garden.

She was terrified of the silence in the air and kept calling out "Xiao Xiao".

Still no one responded.

The main house of Xiyuan was very large, and it seemed empty and quiet at night, which made her feel a cold sweat on her back.

Shi Xi first went to the study to look for Di Chenxiao, but he wasn't there. "Strange, has Xiaoxiao disappeared? Or was he captured by a monster?"

"What kind of nonsense book are you reading again? And you got kidnapped by a monster? Why don't you tell me I was eaten by a monster?"

Di Chenxiao crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame of the study.

Shi Xi ran up to Di Chenxiao, pouted, and said aggrievedly, "Where did you go? I've been looking for you for so long and I still can't find you."

"Tell me the truth!" Sure enough, a fierce tone suited her best.

He draped his coat over Shi Xi's shoulders, saying, "I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep, so I went out for a walk. You went out without a coat; what if you catch a cold?"

She pulled her coat tighter, took Di Chenxiao's arm with her right hand, and headed towards the bedroom. "You were gone, how could I possibly put on my coat? I'll be more careful next time."

"There won't be a next time. I won't make you worry about me again."

Normally, Shi Xi would sleep until dawn before he would go out for a while, but he never expected that she would wake up in the middle of the night today.

Ever since he learned Shi Xi's identity, whenever he closed his eyes, all he could see was that cold, emotionless gaze from two years ago.

He often wakes up in the middle of the night. A lot has happened recently, as if a big net is trying to trap Shi Xi.

As they passed the locked room, Shi Xi stopped and asked curiously, "What's in this room?"
