The members of the "Gang of Five" were reluctant to part with Di Shi, but he said he had something to do, so they couldn't persuade him to stay.
Shi Xi put down her phone, wrapped her arms around Di Chenxiao's waist, and rested her head on his chest, nuzzling him like a lazy cat, harmless and cute.
"Xiaoxiao, the college entrance exam scores are out. I'm planning to apply for medical school, is that okay?"
Di Chenxiao smiled and said, "I'm glad you like it."
Xixi chose this major probably because she was influenced by Grandpa Shi.
Shi Xi: "I'm going to the study to read in a bit. What are you planning to do?"
"I'll read with you."
Shi Xi found it strange that even though Di Chenxiao was by her side and they didn't say anything to each other, she felt incredibly happy.
Upon learning of Shi Xi's grades, Chong En immediately returned to Xi Yuan from the company. Standing outside the study, he took two deep breaths before knocking on the door.
Di Chenxiao opened the door, "Uncle Chong."
"Where is Xiaoxi?"
Seeing that it was a great favor, Shi Xi ran to his side and obediently asked, "Dad, are you done with work at the company?"
It's already past noon, but Shi Xi ate quite late, so she feels it's still early.
Chong En couldn't hide the smile on his face. "You're done, Xiao Xi. Congratulations!"
There are still a lot of things to deal with at the company, but no matter how many things there are, they can't compare to my daughter.
Shi Xi affectionately linked arms with Chong En as they went downstairs. "Dad, I don't have much to do during the summer vacation. How about I go for an internship at the company? Once I get the hang of things at the company, Dad won't have to work so hard."
She said this not because she wanted to take over the company, but because she didn't want her father to work so hard.
"After the college entrance exam, aren't you going out to have some fun? It's a bit early to be interning at the company."
Shi Xi helped Chong En sit on the sofa, and sat down next to him.
"I don't want to go out and play. Traveling is just going to a strange place, seeing the local scenery, eating the local food, taking a few photos along the way, and then returning to a familiar place exhausted."
"I don't think it's interesting. In the past, I would definitely travel whenever I had free time. But now, I've seen through the true nature of travel and don't want to travel anymore."
Chong En frowned and said, "How old are you? How can you have such thoughts? You are still young and should go out and see the world, and experience different cultures and landscapes."
Shi Xi shook her head and pouted, "Dad, I've already experienced a lot. And you said you want to experience the local culture and scenery. I think you can't truly experience the culture and scenery unless you live in a place for a while and talk to the local people."
In the real world, during her university years, she would travel whenever she had free time, averaging two trips a month. Each time she returned to school, it would take her a day or two to recover.
The more you travel, the more you'll understand travel.
Travel is simply a way for young people to express their curiosity about the outside world. Once that curiosity fades, they will no longer want to go out.
Chong En nodded in agreement.
“Since you’ve decided to go to the company, let me make this clear from the start: you’re not allowed to leave early or be late for work, you can’t slack off at the company, and you can’t be lazy just because you’re my child.”
Shi Xi: "No, no."
"Well, it's not that being late is unacceptable, as long as it's not every day."
Chong En thought that Shi Xi sometimes slept in, although not often, but he didn't want to disturb his daughter's sleep, so he changed the conditions for being late.
