Di Chenxiao didn't care; he was now sustained by only one belief: Xixi would be alright.
Di Wu rushed from Xi Xiao Hospital to the People's Hospital without even having time to greet Di Chenxiao, and went straight into the operating room.
Di Qi comforted her, "Master, Di Wu is here. Miss Shi will be alright."
Di Chenxiao stared intently at the operating room, quietly waiting for the person inside to come out.
Shi's family members arrived at the hospital quickly.
Mi Rou's face was deathly pale. As soon as she arrived, she asked, "Master Chen, how is Xiao Xi?"
Seeing that Di Chenxiao's attention was still focused on the operating room door, Di Qi said, "Miss Shi is still undergoing surgery."
"Young Master Shi, Thirteen is in the operating room on the fifth floor. Go and take a look!"
Shi Han clenched her fists, unsure of what to do.
Shi Hao: "Go ahead, I'll take care of things here. There's no one at Thirteen's place, go ahead."
Shi Han nodded and went to the fifth floor to keep watch over Thirteen.
A car accident has taken so many lives and destroyed so many happy families.
Waiting is always the most painful and agonizing thing.
Outside the operating room on the sixth floor, the anxious family members of the patients waited in great distress.
Ten minutes later.
Emperor Wu walked out of the operating room with a face full of self-reproach.
Shi's mother: "Dr. Diwu, is my daughter out of danger? When will she wake up?"
With a broad smile, Mr. Shi said casually, "Why hasn't Xiaoxi come out yet? Is she still in the back?"
Mi Rou's wound hadn't healed yet, and tonight's running around had reopened it, but she couldn't feel any pain. Blood dripped from her wound onto the floor.
Drop by drop, it dripped onto the pristine white floor.
The white floor was stained with the color of blood.
"Di Wu's medical skills have always been admirable. There is no patient you cannot save. Ah Hao, look, as soon as Di Wu made a move, Xiao Xi was fine."
Emperor Wu opened his mouth several times, but no sound came out.
Qin Yu and Di Qi knew that Di Wu had just entered the operating room, and the fact that he was coming out now meant that there was no way to save him!
Shi Hao supported the pale-faced Mi Rou with heartache, his heart filled with panic, unsure whether it was for Mi Rou's sake or for Shi Xi's.
Everyone present already knew that what came out of Di Wu's mouth was definitely not what they wanted to hear.
However, Di Wu didn't tell them the bad news, and they could all deceive themselves by telling themselves that Shi Xi was fine.
Di Wu slammed his fist against the wall, his voice choked with emotion, "I'm sorry, Miss Shi, it's over."
Shi's mother collapsed to the ground, while Shi's father, struggling to his feet, exclaimed in disbelief, "How could someone who was perfectly healthy just be gone?"
Shi Hao supported Mi Rou and helped her to a chair. He walked up to Di Wu, grabbed him by the collar, and coldly roared, "Say it again!"
Di Wu closed his eyes, and tears slid down his cheeks onto Shi Hao's hand. Shi Hao let go of his hand in a daze and leaned against the wall.
Di Wu: "Miss Shi's right cheek was directly hit by the shattered glass, resulting in half of her face being disfigured; her right arm and left leg suffered comminuted fractures that are impossible to recover; her head was violently impacted by inertia; and a stick pierced her upper right abdomen, damaging multiple organs such as her liver, gallbladder, and kidneys."
"When I went in, she was already gone!"
The nurses carried out the body with regret.
Di Chenxiao had no tears. His hands and feet were stiff as he walked awkwardly to the emergency bed and lifted the white sheet covering Shi Xi.
He glanced at her and said coldly, "She's not Xixi. Xixi isn't dead."
