Chapter 250 Tie it up

Chen Zhanliang had been busy all morning and was just about to sit down for a drink of water when he saw Chen Zhancai, fueled by alcohol, rambling incoherently. He couldn't help but feel disgusted and rolled his eyes.

"Shameless! He's become so arrogant just because he passed the imperial examination. He's using his power to bully people and even tried to take over their house. No way, I have to go and drag him over right now. I can't let him embarrass himself any further." Chen Zhanliang said, getting up to go over.

Madam Sun quickly stopped him, saying, "Don't worry, husband. Qing'er doesn't even care about a mere scholar. We won't let him get his way."

As the two were talking, they saw Chen Zhancai and Ruhua running around the yard like madmen, jumping up and down...

It took them a while to come to their senses.

They thought that Old Mrs. Chen could persuade Chen Zhancai, but they didn't expect that Chen Zhancai would become more and more outrageous and would even ride Old Mr. Chen like a horse!

Seeing the situation spiraling out of control, Chen Zhanliang could no longer tolerate it. He strode over, pulled Chen Zhancai off Old Man Chen, and began to curse.

"You bastard, how dare you ride on your father's back and act crazy! I'll beat you to death!" After saying that, he slapped him twice across the face.

Sun looked coldly at Old Mrs. Chen, who was being ridden by Ru Hua, and felt a surge of satisfaction.

What a biased thing! He deserves to be ridden on by a courtesan!

Old Mrs. Chen was in a sorry state, with Ru Hua's huge body pressing down on her. Old Mrs. Chen was in pain, and soup dripped down her hair. She looked very pitiful.

Although Mrs. Sun was angry, she couldn't bear to see Old Mrs. Chen suffer.

She followed closely behind, pulled Ruhua off Old Lady Chen, and began to beat her mercilessly.

"You shameless ugly freak, how dare you cause trouble in my house? Let me teach you a lesson you don't know your place."

Sun was used to farm work and was strong; in no time, she had beaten Ruhua until her face was bruised and swollen, and her nose was bleeding profusely...

Old Chen rubbed his aching back as he stood up, muttering to himself, "All that studying has gone to waste, what a disobedient son, what a disobedient son..."

Grandma Chen felt a lightness in her body and hurriedly scrambled to her feet, wiping the soup off her face haphazardly.

Seeing Chen Zhanliang beating Chen Zhancai, they quickly shouted to stop him.

"Zhanliang, go easy on him, or you'll beat your third brother senseless."

Chen Zhanliang was furious. "It's better if he's stupid. What's the use of keeping this bastard around?"

Grandma Chen slapped her thigh in distress, "Oh dear son, you can't say that! Our third son just passed the imperial examination and became a scholar. If we really beat him senseless, all our family's honor will be gone!"

Old Chen stepped forward and scolded, "Second son, stop right now! Didn't you hear what your mother said?!"

Chen Zhanliang knew that his parents felt sorry for their third son, so they had no choice but to let go of Chen Zhancai.

After venting her anger, Sun regained her composure under Liu Fengjiao's guidance.

Chen Zhancai and Ruhua were stunned and stood there dumbfounded after being beaten.

Just when everyone thought the matter was over, they saw the two of them jump up high again, shouting and yelling wildly.

Old Mrs. Chen was so frightened that her face turned deathly pale. She staggered to Wu Baoan's side, her voice trembling with tears.

"Village head, you need to think of a way to stop these two. If they keep causing trouble, we won't be able to live like this anymore."

Wu Baoan also frowned, his face full of anxiety and helplessness, but he still comforted her, "Auntie, don't worry, I'll think of a way."

Chen Zhanliang said angrily, "What other ideas are there? If you ask me, I'll just knock them out with a stick, so they won't make a fool of themselves."

"No, no, what if we don't know our own strength and beat them senseless?" Wu Baoan waved his hand hurriedly. "Zhanliang, go and prepare some sturdy ropes and have some young men tie them up first."

"Yeah, how come I didn't think of that!" Chen Zhanliang waved his hand and shouted to the young men who were grinning from ear to ear, "Stop laughing like an idiot, you guys, hurry up and find a rope and tie them up."

Seeing this, Old Lady Chen quickly reminded them, "You bunch of hotheads, be gentle, don't hurt the scholar."

"Go easy on us! Why don't you do it yourself? We don't want to do it!"

"Exactly, what if this crazy guy kicks us?"

"Who says otherwise? Your daughter-in-law looks more manly than any man. If she really started kicking, we'd all be at a disadvantage!"

"Village head, we can't do this job, you should find someone else!"

Several people expressed their dissatisfaction...

Wu Baoan gave Old Lady Chen a disapproving look. "Hey, old lady, what time is it? Why are you still worrying about these things? If you're going to be so meddlesome, I can't help you anymore."

"Fine, fine, do whatever you want, just make them stop." Seeing Chen Zhancai flipping the table and smashing bowls, Old Mrs. Chen had no choice but to nod in agreement.

Seizing the opportunity, the young men swarmed forward, grabbing arms and legs, choking necks and pulling waists, instantly knocking Chen Zhancai and Ruhua to the ground.

The two struggled desperately, kicking and digging with their hands and feet, while cursing under their breath.

Fearing they might get hurt, the strong young men unconsciously increased the force of their blows.

Then they tied the two of them up tightly with rope, like binding pigs.

Although Chen Zhancai's hands and feet were tied, his mouth was still open.

"I am the newly appointed magistrate of Anyang County. Chen Qingqing of Nanshan Village is disobedient and disrespectful to her elders. Guards, confiscate her property and throw her into the death row..."

Upon hearing these words, everyone's faces were filled with disdain and mockery.

Old Mrs. Chen was extremely embarrassed. Although she also wanted Chen Qingqing's family fortune, it was shameless of her to say it in front of so many people.

Worried that Chen Zhancai was talking nonsense, she quickly grabbed a rag from the table and stuffed it into his mouth.

He then let out a long sigh of relief and looked at everyone with gratitude.

"Thanks to everyone's help, otherwise I really don't know how long these two would have kept causing trouble."

Seeing that Chen Zhancai had finally calmed down, Wu Baoan's expression relaxed a little. "Auntie, don't be so polite. Zhancai's illness is a bit strange. You should hurry up and get a doctor to take a look at him!"
