"What's the point of telling you this? I always tell you to be careful and not to do just any kind of business. Now look what you've done. You've stirred up a hornet's nest. If they come knocking on our door, we'll both lose our heads."
"It's not that serious, is it? I've investigated everything thoroughly and there's absolutely no way there could be any oversight."
The fat steward snorted coldly, "It's not that serious. Those two could kill us in the blink of an eye. What are you still gloating about? Get those two old bastards out of here right now."
"Alright, I'll let them go right away."
Granny Sun knew she had made a huge mistake and offended someone she shouldn't have.
Turning to look at the stunned Mr. and Mrs. Chen, he gritted his teeth and said fiercely,
"You two old geezers, what exactly happened with that kid? If you don't tell the truth, I'll skin you alive!"
"You, you, you're asking me? I, we don't know either!" Old Mrs. Chen shook her head in astonishment.
Old Chen looked completely bewildered and waved his hands vigorously, "You don't know what happened, what could we old folks know? Are you just going to let them go like this?"
Upon hearing this, Granny Sun was so angry that she jumped up and down on the spot. "What do you want if you don't let us leave? Do you want to chop off our heads before you leave? You are obviously no good people. You brought a child of unknown origin to cause trouble. We have been ruined by you two inhuman old bastards. You must bear the responsibility for today's losses."
Grandma Chen was terrified and quickly explained, "Grandma Sun, that child is indeed my grandson. If I'm lying, may I be struck by lightning! You can't blame us for your losses!"

The fat steward could tell that the old man and his wife were dressed in shabby clothes and couldn't possibly know any important people. It was probably just a coincidence. Perhaps some powerful figure was traveling incognito in Anyang and he just happened to be unlucky enough to be targeted.
He waved his hand, "Alright, that's enough for today. Don't cause any more trouble. If those two come back and attack us, we're all doomed. Make them get lost and close down!"

"Good son, don't worry. It will break your mother's heart if you get sick from worrying. As the saying goes, there's always a way out. I'll think of a way for you. Don't rush, don't rush!" Old Mrs. Chen was afraid that something might happen to her precious son, so she kept comforting him.
Chen Zhancai was distraught and didn't know how to face his brother and sister-in-law when he got home. He shook his head helplessly.
"Mother, you make it sound so easy, but how can I not be anxious? Things are a complete mess now. We haven't made any money, and we've gotten ourselves into trouble. You'd better think about how to explain this to my second brother and sister-in-law when we get back!"
“Oh, my good son, what is there for your mother to explain to them? It’s not illegal for me to sell my own grandson. I’m not afraid of what they say. At worst, people will talk behind my back.
