After sending one flying, Xu Qingqing turned around and kicked the man behind her in the balls. The unlucky guy clutched his balls, writhing in pain.
Bo Jingran subconsciously squeezed her legs together, feeling the same way.
The leader sensed something was wrong and tried to run away, but Xu Qingqing threw a hammer in his direction.
"ah--"
The hammer struck the target squarely.
Xu Qingqing calmly dealt with the remaining people, then picked up a small iron hammer and started banging it around.
"I'll let you do it, I'll let you do it," Xu Qingqing muttered as she hammered.
The screams and wails of the human traffickers echoed through the alley, frightening passersby into quickening their pace and moving away from the area.
Xu Qingqing beckoned Bo Jingran over and pointed inside, saying to him, "Those children are inside. Go and call them out. I'll stay here and watch over them."
Bo Jingran nodded, stepped through the gate, and ran into the inner room.
Inside the room, a group of children were tied up and huddled in a corner. Among them was a little boy with his round eyes wide open, listening intently to the sounds outside.
Bo Jingran stared at the little boy as soon as he entered, and paused for a moment.
Compared to the terrified looks in the eyes of the other children, this child's eyes were noticeably calmer.
Bo Jingran comforted him, "Don't be afraid, the bad guys outside have been defeated."
Lin Shuyan asked curiously, "Hello, big brother. My name is Lin Shuyan. I'm not afraid at all. I know someone will come to save me."
"Big brother, are you here to save me?"
Bo Jingran smiled and nodded, stroking Lin Shuyan's head: "Yes, Lin Shuyan, right? Your older brother and sister are here to rescue you."
He untied the ropes binding Lin Shuyan, and then went to untie the ropes binding the other children.
Lin Shuyan moved her body, her eyes blinking as she watched her older brother busy himself. Then she followed her brother's example and untied the ropes binding the others.
