One of the older women spotted the man and woman and, seeing their sour expressions, gave the others a meaningful look.
Xu Qingqing turned sideways and peeked out. Sure enough, it was them. She waved to them and said, "Sister, future brother-in-law, how are you?"
"Shut up, who's your sister?" Lin Meijiao shouted at Xu Qingqing, her voice hoarse.
Zhang Jianguo also looked at Xu Qingqing coldly, ignoring her completely.

"You're really that kind?" Pan Ling didn't believe it.
Lin Meijiao smiled and said, "I've only ever liked Zhang Jianguo. If you don't agree, fine. I can find someone else to cooperate with, like... Xu Wanyi!"
"I heard her father is a director. What chance do you have of competing with her?"
Pan Ling's face darkened. She loathed Lin Meijiao's condescending attitude, but she was right. Her family background was destined to be inferior to others, and only by getting close to Gao Boyu could she climb up the social ladder.

Xu Qingqing chuckled, her laughter eerily strange, mimicking the sound effects of a horror movie from her past life, as she approached Lin Meijiao step by step from afar.
Lin Meijiao screamed "Ah—" in fright and fainted.
They dealt with the two perfectly, stuffed Lin Meijiao into a sack, and found another sack from the educated youth dormitory to put Pan Ling in. They carried her away, one on the left and two on the right.
