Chapter 40 Qiao Erni's Thoughts Exposed

Grandma Lin was anxious about Lin Shuyan and didn't notice that Qiao Erni had fallen at the corner of the sofa. She stepped on it but lost her balance and fell forward onto the corner of the coffee table.

Old Mrs. Lin turned pale, thinking it was all over. In a flash, Xu Qingqing caught Old Mrs. Lin in time, preventing a tragedy from happening.

Xu Qingqing helped Grandma Lin sit on the sofa to catch her breath. Grandma Lin was old and couldn't withstand the shock. It took her a long time to calm down.

Lin Shuyan got out of Bo Jingran's arms and sat down next to Grandma Lin, gently patting her chest with her small hand:

Grandma, are you feeling any better?

Grandma Lin gently shook her head and patted his little hand, saying, "Grandma is fine, you don't need to worry."

Grandma Lin turned to Fang Qianqian and asked in confusion, "Erni, why are you lying on the ground?"

Qiao Erni was still reeling from Bo Jingran's kick, and then she was stepped on by Old Lady Lin. The pain was so intense that she almost couldn't catch her breath, so she naturally didn't have time to answer Old Lady Lin.

Xu Qingqing: "Auntie, you should ask Xiaopi, the little guy. He's the victim."

After saying that, he hinted to Lin Shuyan to make him sound as pitiful as possible, preferably as miserable as possible.

Lin Shuyan received Xu Qingqing's hint, pouted and cried, "Waaah, Grandma, Aunt Fang bullied me. Look at my hands, they're bleeding."

As she spoke, she showed her little hands to Grandma Lin.

Grandma Lin then noticed that there were fingernail marks on Lin Shuyan's little hands, and the skin was even broken.

Xu Qingqing gave him a thumbs up, "Well done!"

Grandma Lin was furious. How dare Qiao Erni bully Lin Shuyan like this? Her precious grandson was so beautiful, fair and tender, everyone loved him.

Xu Qingqing watched as Old Lady Lin slapped Qiao Erni across the face.

Grandma Lin: "Qiao Erni, you have to give me an explanation today. You watched Shuyan grow up, and he calls you 'Auntie' too. How dare you hurt him like this?"

Qiao Erni was stunned by the slap from Old Lady Lin, and stared blankly at Old Lady Lin while covering her face.

She couldn't believe that Old Mrs. Lin, who treated her like a daughter, would hit her.

After hitting her, Grandma Lin felt a little regretful, after all, she had watched Fang Qianqian grow up since she was a child.

Xu Qingqing: "Comrade Qiao seems to still be recovering from the mental blow. It's understandable. Anyone would be unhappy to hear that the person they like doesn't like them back and even calls them a clingy person."

Grandma Lin was completely confused. What did this have to do with Lin Shuyan being beaten?

Xu Qingqing gestured to Lin's mother to look at the black and white photo of Secretary Lin. Lin's mother glanced at it and her expression was complicated.

Xu Qingqing had managed to avenge Lin Shuyan in a small way. Although there was no direct evidence pointing to Fang Qianqian as the mastermind, she hadn't missed the momentary twisted look in Qiao Erni's eyes.

Finally, Old Lady Lin said something to Qiao Erni, and Qiao Erni ran away crying.

As Qiao Erni passed by Xu Qingqing, she glared at her with a venomous look.

After Qiao Erni left.

After calming herself down, Grandma Lin continued cooking. Lin Shuyan stayed with Bo Jingran, while Xu Qingqing lay on the sofa, fast asleep.

Xu Qingqing didn't get up until Grandma Lin had finished preparing the meal.

At the dinner table.

Xu Qingqing suddenly remembered something, so she corrected Lin Shuyan, saying, "You can't call us 'brother' and 'sister' anymore, you have to call us...?"

Bridges are a must!

She's so young, how can you call her auntie?

Lin Shuyan asked, puzzled, "Why can't we call them 'brother' or 'sister'?"

Bo Jingran also had a question: "Yes, why can't we call it that?"

Xu Qingqing: "Little one, do you know about generational differences? Your father and I are of the same generation, but I call your grandmother 'Auntie.' Tell me why!"

"From now on, call me Seven Gods, understand?"

Lin Shuyan obediently called out, "Seventh Aunt!"

Xu Qingqing: "<(`^′)>"

That kid definitely did it on purpose!

Xu Qingqing took Bo Jingran back to the production team, cleaned the house, and then headed to the train station.

Xu's father had sent a letter long ago, asking his precious daughter to come back this year and spend a reunion year with them.

Bo Jingran was very uneasy on the way, feeling extremely nervous about meeting his father-in-law.

"Wife, why isn't your mother here? Otherwise, she could put in a good word for me with your father."

Xu Qingqing listened to Bo Jingran's nagging at least ten times with a blank expression, and said in a low voice, "Why don't you go downstairs and ask your mother-in-law why she died so early?"

Bo Jingran froze, not daring to speak again.

The two navigated through the crowded train station and finally managed to board the train.

Bo Jingran put down his package, sat down next to Xu Qingqing, and started reading.

Only Xu Qingqing was sleeping by the window.

The train moved slowly, away from the bustling city.

Xu Qingqing stretched and saw that Bo Jingranru was still in the same position as before.

Bo Jingran noticed that Xu Qingqing had woken up, so he took out some steamed buns and pickled vegetables from his package and handed them to her.

"Wife, here you go!"

Xu Qingqing took the steamed bun from Bo Jingran's hand. It was filled with pickled vegetables, and every bite was full of the salty and savory flavor of the vegetables.

The others swallowed hard when they saw the large white steamed bun in Xu Qingqing's hand, some with envy and some with jealousy.

You know, ordinary people only splurge a little during holidays like Chinese New Year, making a few big white steamed buns, and each person only gets a small portion, not even enough to fill a tooth gap.

What kind of family could afford to hold such a big white steamed bun?

They are definitely wealthier than these families.

Bo Jingran was worried that Xu Qingqing would choke, so he took a porcelain jar to fetch hot water.

Xu Qingqing sat in her seat and waited, then casually placed a package on Bo Jingran's seat to indicate that the seat was occupied.

To prevent some shameless individuals from taking other people's places.
