Chapter 55 Fang Xiaomei Causes Trouble, Scaring Her into Wetting Her Pants

Huang Yao picked up a large pile of documents and casually placed them on Xu Qingqing's desk. The already messy pile of documents collapsed in an instant, with sheets of paper scattering on the floor.

Fang Xiaomei feigned surprise and scolded her, "Oh dear! Xiao Huang, how could you be so careless!"

Huang Yao looked at Xu Qingqing with a face full of guilt and said, "I'm sorry, Comrade Xu, I just wanted to give you the rest all at once."

I was worried you'd have trouble finding it, so I kindly brought it over for you, but I never expected this to happen.

Fang Xiaomei gave her an approving look and chuckled as she spoke up for Huang Yao: "Little Huang meant well but made a mistake. You shouldn't hold it against her, right, Comrade Xu?"

The two women echoed each other, seemingly convinced that Xu Qingqing wouldn't dare to contradict them.

Xu Qingqing wasn't going to tolerate them. She picked up the water glass next to her and admired it for a few moments, but then slipped it under their watchful eyes.

A water glass fell onto the spilled documents, soaking them instantly.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, my hand was too slippery and I couldn't grab it." Xu Qingqing tilted her head and shrugged.

Seeing that all the documents on the ground were wet and the writing on them was blurred and illegible, Huang Yao said with some concern, "Sister Fang, all these documents are ruined. There are no spares. What if Director Jing blames us..."

Fang Xiaomei glared at her, then turned to look at Xu Qingqing and said with a gloating smile, "This is not our fault. It was Comrade Xu who got the documents wet, and she is the one who has to explain."

After hearing this, Huang Yao's worries disappeared, and like Fang Xiaomei, she gloated over the day Xu Qingqing was about to have a bad day.

Xu Qingqing rolled her eyes: "Yes, yes, it's all my fault."

"Unlike you two, you're as pure as the snow outside, you can't shake it off no matter what you do."

Fang Xiaomei couldn't understand what Xu Qingqing was saying. She understood the first part of the sentence, but she didn't understand the part about snow. So she asked Huang Yao, who was next to her.

What did she mean?

Huang Yao shook her head; she didn't understand either.

Fang Xiaomei was furious. This Huang Yao was truly useless. If it weren't for her obedience, she would have kicked her far away long ago.

Seeing this, Xu Qingqing chuckled: "What a pity, Comrade Huang, you'd better be careful, maybe one day you'll be kicked out by her just like the last one."

Huang Yao's heart skipped a beat, and she looked at Fang Xiaomei in a panic, only to see Fang Xiaomei's eyes darting away, with an expression that seemed to say, "How did you know?"

Fang Xiaomei shouted guiltily, "What nonsense are you talking about? How could I be that kind of person?"

Then he began to express his true feelings to Huang Yao: "Little Huang, don't listen to her. She just wants to stir up trouble between us. You know what kind of person I am."

Xu Qingqing: "Yes, yes, Sister Fang, you are such a good person. You go to great lengths to eliminate dissidents. Anyone who doesn't listen to you, you drive them away."

“This time it was me. Next time you don’t like Comrade Huang, you will treat her the same way you treated me today.”

"What do you call this? This is called a dog taking an inch and then a mile and trying to become a human. It is still a dog at heart and can never become a real human."

Xu Qingqing's words were pointed at Fang Xiaomei.

Huang Yao's heart skipped a beat. Yes, she had known all along.

Fang Xiaomei regretted her impulsiveness today when she saw that her lackey had been turned by Xu Qingqing.

Seeing this, Fang Xiaomei forced a smile and defended herself: "Xiao Huang, you know I'm the most soft-hearted. Back then, it was only because I pleaded with Minister Ren that you were able to stay here."

"If I wanted to get rid of you, why would I have pleaded for you in the first place?"

Huang Yao clearly also realized that she was able to stay in the publicity department because of Sister Fang.

But then she thought about how she had ostracized and suppressed the previous person, and she became uncertain again.

Seeing Huang Yao hesitate, Fang Xiaomei was annoyed that she didn't know what was good for her; she didn't give face to just anyone.

Fang Xiaomei's face fell as she asked, "Little Huang?"

Seeing that Fang Xiaomei was angry, Huang Yao's pupils contracted, and she stammered, unable to speak.

This made Fang Xiaomei so angry she almost vomited blood.

Xu Qingqing bent over, laughing uncontrollably, clutching her aching stomach, tears welling up in her eyes.

The two were bewildered; Xu Qingqing just kept laughing and laughing, unable to stop.

Fang Xiaomei thought she was being mocked and angrily retorted, "Comrade Xu, is what I said so funny?!"

Xu Qingqing covered her mouth, trying to suppress her laughter. She shook her head, wanting to speak, but couldn't. When she finally managed to control herself, she sat in a chair, panting heavily.

She almost suffocated just now.

After calming down, Xu Qingqing rubbed her almost stiff mouth and explained, "Sister Fang is joking. I just remembered that we used to have a little yellow dog at home named Xiao Huang."

"It's like a lackey, always following me around, doing whatever I tell it to do."

Thinking about it now, it's a bit strange. I just wonder how well those guys took care of it.

Fang Xiaomei and Huang Yao both had dark, heavy faces, especially Huang Yao, whose face was heavily veiled by Xu Qingqing as Fang Xiaomei's dog.

Even if it's true that she is indeed Fang Xiaomei's lackey, there's no need to mock herself like this.

Huang Yao raised her voice and loudly accused, "Comrade Xu, it's wrong of you to insult people like this."

"I think it makes perfect sense. Am I wrong, or are you just afraid to admit it?"

It was an undeniable fact that Huang Yao dared not admit it. Admitting it would be tantamount to telling everyone that she was a lackey, even if that was the truth.

Xu Qingqing stretched and yawned, pointing to the documents on the ground:

"I just joined the propaganda department and you guys have already given me this mess. It's kind of me not to scold you, but you guys seem to be looking for trouble."

"What's wrong? Is the earth already overflowing with your stupidity? You come here looking for attention? Either you're asking for a beating or you're just being a jerk."
