Chapter 22: The British Gentlemen Who Love to Surrender

The ones who came were none other than the less than a dozen people left in the warehouse, their allies, the great and noble British gentlemen. They thought that Shuoyu and his group were Japanese, so they waved little white flags and beat small drums, intending to accept the Geneva Peace Convention, which was a bullshit convention about surrendering and not mistreating prisoners.

I don’t know if they are too stupid or their cerebellum has been removed, but they actually believe that their enemies will treat them well. Did they treat the people in the colonized lands well when they were colonizing?

The truth is only within the range of cannons, and this saying never goes out of date.

But they were lucky enough, because standing here now were Shuo Yu and the others, their allies.

Shuo Yu came over curiously and squeezed next to Fanla and Sila, and heard a lot of words from the old British gentleman who was obviously surrendering but still maintained his composure.

At the same time, Long Wenjian asked Meng Fanle what the old man was talking about.

"Surrender, and some kind of treaty or something."

Shuo Yu couldn't help but interrupt,

"He thinks we are the devils and wants us to treat the prisoners well."

"You also speak English?"

"I can't but I can understand and they can understand what I say."

"This? How did you do that?" Long Wenjian was a little curious. How did you do that?

"God gave it to me because he liked me."

Shuo Yu told the truth, but no one ever believed his outrageous truth. On all consciences, Shuo Yu swore that he was telling the truth, but none of the two people present believed him. So he could only shake his head and look at his own leader helplessly.

"Captain, they should have food, weapons, and supplies in their warehouse. We rescued them, and they were supposed to give them to us as soon as we got off the plane, but they haven't given them yet?"

"Walk?"

Long Wenjian only asked, and rushed out of the trench first. Shuoyu and Meng Fanle, who was dragged by him, reacted later and followed their leader closely, looking at the old British gentleman in front of them.

"Why are you bringing me along? Don't you have any problem communicating with them?" Fanla didn't understand why he was brought along. He didn't want to deal with these British white pigs.

"Don't talk nonsense. It looks better with three people. It will appear more imposing."

Shuo Yu quickly whispered to Fanla that if their leader went up alone when there were so many people, it would appear too weak. This was not acceptable. When asking for supplies from others, they had to appear stronger, especially when dealing with "them", this group of amiable allies.

Meng Fanle shut up and stood with Banxianer and the others honestly, but his expression did not seem very willing.

"Othello, gentlemen, we are a historic army. Now we surrender to you, the newly emerged opponent. Why are you so dirty in appearance and speak to me like a gentleman?"

Long Wenjian looked at Meng Fanle with a puzzled look on his face. Meng Fanle was so confused by his gaze that he stammered to explain Othello's meaning to him.

Shuo Yu felt it was ridiculous. He took a step forward and looked at these neatly dressed foreign gentlemen, and their gazes at the officer standing in the front.

"First of all, we are not black. We are a military unit with a long history just like you. Our country existed before your Rome. Secondly, our appearance is not clean because we are fighting. Your appearance is neat because you only know how to surrender. Gentlemen, do you think surrender is a gentlemanly act?"

"I don't think they mind adding a few more white bodies here. After all, there will always be casualties in war. There is not much difference between white people and yellow people, or even the black people you mentioned, sir."

Long Wenjian looked at Shuoyu with surprise, and even Meng Fanle opened his mouth wide. He suspected that there was something wrong with his ears. Banxianer, was he speaking Chinese?

Shuo Yu walked towards them step by step, towards the neat-looking British officer in front. He stepped back and Shuo Yu moved forward. The two looked at each other, Shuo Yu's aura was fully released, and he spoke word by word,

"Sir, I hope you understand that we saved you. All you have to do now is treat us as your saviors. Otherwise, we won't mind making you disappear right where you are. In a war like this, you're not immune to death, are you?"

With the last words, Shuo Yu smiled and stretched out his hand to look at the officer opposite him. His hand was still black and emitting an unpleasant smell. Even he himself did not want to touch it, but the other party had to shake it, even if his face was distorted.

William Huntington, that is, the old guy, was looking face to face with Shuo Yu. Even though he was unwilling in his heart, he knew that the guy in front of him did not say any more threatening words. He really could do it. Their country did not lack an officer like him who was dispensable. This was a battlefield. People died every moment. Who could judge whether a white person was killed by the Japanese or the Chinese?

He had no other choice but to shake that ungentlemanly hand.

Shuo Yu admired his self-awareness and said with a smile, his tone became gentle.

"That's good. We're all friends, aren't we? Now, my captain wants to have a good chat with you about the things you were originally going to promise us."

Shuo Yu stepped back, looked at the leader, and winked cunningly.

"Alright, we have a place to stay tonight, Captain. If you need anything, just ask them. They said they would give it to us anyway."

Long Wenjian smiled and patted Shuoyu, saying he had done a good job. Then he pulled the British officer like a robber and tried to have a good chat with him affectionately.
