Chapter 5 The annoying lame leg

Bu La held the bowl and yelled "Bullshit".

Kang Ya came close to Shuo Yu and stretched out his hand. Even he himself didn't know what he wanted. Shuo Yu glanced at him and patted his head.

"Perhaps you were a maidservant under He Xiangu in your previous life, so perhaps we could be colleagues in the future. Here you go."

Kang Ya actually didn't understand what Shuo Yu meant, but he had an egg in his hand, and it was a warm egg, which was more important than anything else.

Shuo Yu found a spot against the wall, watching the different reactions of the crowd to the veterinarian's words, with a "real fur scarf" wrapped around his neck and his eyes closed.

"Well, it's true. After all, I'm the only doctor here. An officer came to investigate the health of our defeated soldiers. He said that a war was about to begin."

"Young Master doesn't want to go north anymore."

This is Meng Fanle who just opened his eyes again, squatting and hugging one leg, looking at the veterinarian with his small eyes,

"Who told you it was the north? This time it's the south, Myanmar."

The veterinarian was looking for a place to sit down in the room. Shuo Yu made half of his buttocks available and put the other egg in his arms into his hands.

When the veterinarian came over, he looked at him with a smile, and the veterinarian praised him as a good kid. So in the silence of everyone, the father and son shared the same egg, Shuoyu ate the egg white, and the veterinarian ate the egg yolk.

"Damn it, veterinarian, are you sick? You have a fever, so why are you talking nonsense? That's the expeditionary force. England helped, America provided the guns, and it was us who got our turn~"

"That's right, right."

"They have everything they want, they don't lack anything. How could they want something from someone like you and me who were raised by stepmothers?"

Shuo Yu stirred the pot and thought it was almost done, so he interrupted their discussion and told them to get their bowls and rice. Apparently, having something to eat was more tempting for them.

If it's not spicy, don't even raise your head. If it's spicy, don't raise your head.

Doubing just laughed. It was only after Shuoyu patted his head that he remembered to use chopsticks to eat.

The veterinarian sat down and thought that he should explain it clearly. He was an old man in his fifties and could see everything clearly. This acquisition was not a good thing.

"This time we're expanding our manpower, but why? Because they haven't won a great victory over there, and many people have died. So we need to expand our manpower. Each of you needs to think carefully about whether you want to go or not, and tell me in advance."

"The enemy is saying it, and we are saying it too. We are all lying, deceiving ourselves."

After the veterinarian finished speaking, there was another silence. Everyone held their bowls and watched until Ayi broke the silence.

He cried again, covering his face with his hands, and said that he would lead the army back to Shanghai to avenge his father. However, although he was a major, he was a major who had never fought in a war.

Shuo Yu didn't know why he was so eager to die?

But he still raised his hand to indicate that he had something to say, and everyone looked over.

"I want to go too."

He felt that his opportunity might be found by going to the south. He had a premonition, a very mysterious premonition, so he had to go, and if he went, a few of these guys would be spared.

Shuoyu's high-profile speech made Meng Fanle open his closed eyes again. He always hated Shuoyu because he couldn't understand this guy.

A person who seemed to have fallen from the sky, with no background, and was even more out of place than Ayi. The only thing he knew about this person was just these two short months. A person who could support himself, but had to mix with this group of scum and soldiers. No one knew what he was thinking.

A Yi treats him as a friend, because Shuo Yu is the only one who speaks to him nicely. Kang Ya doesn't care if the food is spicy or numb, as long as there is something to eat, they don't care about anything else. Mi Long has an inexplicable resistance in his heart and keeps to himself, so the two of them get along peacefully.

Only Meng Fanle, the guy who always thinks that he is the only one sober while everyone else is drunk, has always been wary of Shuoyu, but every time Shuoyu brings back food, he will never miss it.

Meng, who was stubborn, contradictory and awkward, was annoyed.

Li Wula was waiting at the door with a half-broken bowl in his hand, because he also had a share in the basin. Meng Fanle once asked Shuoyu why he also wanted to share with Li Wula, but the answer he got made him still prefer silence.

"Brother Lian Sheng's accent is very familiar to me. Our hometown should be not far away. I have been away from home for many years and have long forgotten how to speak my hometown dialect. His voice reminds me where my home is."

Li Wula didn't say anything, just lowered his head and ate the food in his mouth. Milong, who was also from the Northeast, thought that these words were too corny, so he patted his butt and left.

The others had nothing to say. After all, this unexpected meal was kindly given to them by Shuo Yu so that they wouldn't have rumbling stomachs at night and keep them awake.

Likewise, they would not ask Shuo Yu where these things came from. As long as they could fill their stomachs, they did not care about anything else.

Meng Fanle didn't want to talk to Shuo Yu unless it was necessary, because he felt that he was no different from the stray cat Maodou that Shuo Yu picked up. Keeping his mouth shut was the only way for him to maintain his ridiculous self-esteem.

Milong stood up, threw the grass in his hand, and stood up. He had five or six watches on his left arm, looking like a nouveau riche. He glanced at Shuoyu,

"What are you going to do? I tell you, if anyone goes, I'll break his legs. Only rotten wood with mushrooms growing on it will go!"

Milong left cursing. He really did what he said. No one doubted that the black market boss Milong would not break any of their legs just because he was in a bad mood one day.
