Chapter 51 Trial by Three Courts

A three-court trial officially began. Fortunately, there were a few benches for them to sit on, so they didn't have to stand in agony. Shuo Yu looked at Yu Da Tiexue who had been standing with his back to them.

His back was very straight, reminding people of bamboo, but with a hint of sharpness compared to bamboo. He was like a straight knife that had seen blood and was thirsty for more blood. Such a person was born to fight. He might be a guy born for war. This was really not good news.

Clauber was so frightened by the scene in front of him that he kept burping. Shuoyu wanted to find him some water to relieve the hiccups, but he had nothing but a Changfeng Sword on him. He could only look at Clauber and teach him to swallow his saliva to see if it would relieve the hiccups.

On the other side, Tang Ji was chatting with a smiling fat man, discussing the century-old wood in the ancestral hall. The cigarettes between their fingers were lit, and the smoke lingered in front of their faces. Shuo Yu took a look and lost interest. He just looked to the end of the private room, wanting to see when the familiar figure would appear.

Tang Ji was still trying to refuse the guy he called Director Chen.

One said, "Please, please." The other said, "You are the envoy, please, please." The two were still exchanging pleasantries. It was obvious that Yu Xiaoqing did not have much patience to face this scene. He took the lead and sat down first. He was the kind of person who would never let himself feel relaxed even when sitting.

So these three people are the ones who are interrogating their leader, right?

A Master Yu who had praised their leader, could barely say that he should, probably, perhaps, almost, not want their leader to die,

A Tang Ji, a guy I gave money to, will definitely go to the mountains to dig gold for him after the matter is over, or he will go to Japan to dig out some silver mine and give it to him, no matter how much he offers.

It is not easy to infer the other Director Chen, but based on the anti-Japanese war TV dramas he watched with his grandmother in his previous life, it can be inferred that this guy is most likely from the Military Intelligence Bureau. It is an old tradition of the White Party. They are suspicious all the time and no one is trustworthy. They kill anyone without any injustice. The Security Bureau is the least confidential place, a big sieve. This may be one of the main reasons why they ultimately failed.

Shuo Yu watched Tang Ji and Director Chen being polite to each other and came to a conclusion. That is, they were both similar, so they had to be polite to each other. Zenda was of course the territory of Master Yu, but Director Chen was sent from above, similar to a special envoy sent by the central government to the local area. The title of major general on his shoulder was real, not to respect him as a person, but to respect the flag behind him, the blue sky and white sun flag.

It's easier to get things done by using the tiger skin~

In the end, it was Yu Xiaoqing who took the gavel. Director Chen was invited. Perhaps he didn't know how long it would take for these two people to be so polite to each other. It was already afternoon, and the sun would soon set if it dragged on. Shuo Yu once again gave Yu Xiaoqing a few criticisms for his lack of patience.

Director Chen said "court opening!" with a Western touch.

It was not the "entrance ceremony" of the feudal dynasty, but in Shuoyu's eyes, it was no different, because the soldiers in two rows on the side were beating the ground with their gun handles and shouting "Mighty!"

This made the Cantonese people kowtow on the ground, and they almost shouted out "My Lord, it's unfair!" according to Shuoyu's stereotype.

Shuo Yu looked at the others and they were only slightly better than Snake Butt. They didn't kneel down, but their legs were weak. With a cough, he pulled Snake Butt up with his left hand and supported himself with his right hand. Seeing the officer, he was like a mouse seeing a cat, almost wetting its pants. There were too many people that needed him to pull up at once, and it was really a bit busy.

Only Meng Fanle, A Yi and Zhao Qian, who had studied, stood up straight and did not fall down. They looked at the other side curiously.

Not spicy, snake butt. Their strange appearance made Tang Ji laugh, which also eased the atmosphere.

"The country folk are crude and uncultured, and they are unwilling to educate us. Everyone should laugh at them. Hahahaha, hahaha."

Yu Xiaoqing's words "bring the prisoner" seemed to have convicted their leader of something. The soldiers lined up in two teams and shouted "Go to court!" The people Shuoyu had pulled up knelt down again. He simply stopped pulling them and let them kneel.

He and Ayi stood together, looking over there. Ayi covered his mouth with his hand as if afraid others would know he was talking, but he continued to talk, a bit like trying to cover up his own faults. "Before the verdict, shouldn't I be called the defendant? Why am I called the criminal?"

Shuo Yu glanced at him and thought to himself, yes, their leader is at best a suspect now, and he is carrying a criminal. It’s really shameful. He may be shot in the next second!

But he noticed Yu Xiaoqing's eyes looking in his direction, so he quickly pulled A Yi to stand still and wait for their leader to come over. He didn't see his face clearly in the quick encounter in the morning, as he was only busy coughing and grieving in the black smoke.

Now this guy appeared again, wearing the same clothes he was taken away with. He still looked familiar to Shuoyu and his gang, but he looked a little bit shabby, or showing weakness, and a little artificial.

But as soon as he appeared, Shuoyu's eyes could no longer see anyone else.

Their leader's hands were still handcuffed, and he looked at them with surprise as he passed by. Shuo Yu smiled at him. He wanted to wave to him, but then he remembered that they were in court, so he suppressed the urge to raise his hand.
