The next day, Su Jingjing ate breakfast at a leisurely pace, as if she wasn't in a hurry to go out at all.
At this moment, Li Hanting walked in from outside.
"Are you done with your work?"
Su Jingjing's cheeks puffed out, and she hadn't swallowed the bun in her mouth yet.
Ah Ting just went out to run some errands.
A small face the size of a palm, watery eyes, and a pair of delicate, red and glossy lips beneath a pert little nose.
A hint of amusement flickered in Li Hanting's eyes. "Finished your work? Have you eaten?"
"Burp..." Su Jingjing let out a burp and said lightly, "I'm full."
As soon as he finished speaking, Ah Ting took the initiative to clear away the dishes and chopsticks, then turned his head and said, "Go change your clothes and go out."
What clothes should I change into?
Su Jingjing didn't react for a moment. She looked down at her clothes. Hadn't she just changed them this morning?
Do you have to dress up to meet a jerk?
"Honey, change into a long-sleeved shirt."
Call it jealousy or pettiness, whatever you want, Li Hanting just doesn't want his little wife to show even a bit of skin.
Su Jingjing snapped out of her daze, and their eyes met. They both understood what the other was thinking.
She pursed her lips, thinking that Ah Ting was too domineering, but she liked it.
She looked at Ah Ting with eyes as bright as stars, smiled slightly, and her dimples appeared and disappeared on her cheeks, making her very beautiful.
"Okay, I'll go change it now."
She headed straight for the bedroom. The weather wasn't too hot today, so wearing long sleeves was acceptable.
Li Hanting smiled and continued clearing the dishes.
Ten minutes later, the two went out together.
Li Hanting gripped the steering wheel with one hand and held his wife's hand with the other, occasionally turning his head to chat with her.
"Wife, you can only stay with him for ten minutes."
He couldn't stand his wife interacting with other men; it was like a thorn stuck in his heart.
Su Jingjing grasped A Ting's hand in return, "Okay, I won't stay too long."
They soon arrived at the place they had agreed upon with Wang Hui, and from a distance, they could indeed see a figure there.
What truly attracted Su Jingjing was the scenery here. The sky was filled with white clouds, but the sunset was nowhere to be seen, perhaps because the beautiful time of sunset had long passed. But its beauty was not limited to that.
Sunlight spills onto the treetops, creating dappled shadows, resembling a picturesque scene full of natural charm.
Listening to the sound of the sea crashing against the beach, a surge of emotion welled up in my chest.
"Ah Ting, this place is so beautiful." It's been so long since I've seen the sea.
Li Hanting pursed his lips slightly; he suddenly didn't want his wife to go over there.
"Honey, there are places even more beautiful than this. I'll take you there next time."
Su Jingjing smiled charmingly, "Okay."
"Ah Ting, I'm going downstairs."
Wang Hui, who was not far away, seemed to be getting impatient.
She also just wanted a quick resolution.
Li Hanting reluctantly let go of his wife's hand, opened the car door for her, and watched her leave.
Su Jingjing stepped on the beach, leaving footprints of varying depths along the way.
When Wang Hui saw her appear, he immediately lost his temper.
Why did you take so long to arrive?
Seemingly realizing the rudeness of his words, he immediately changed his tone.
"Jingjing, I didn't mean to blame you."
He waited all morning; anyone would be angry.
Su Jingjing frowned, her tone carrying a hint of grievance.
"I was held up by something this morning, sorry to have kept you waiting."
Looking up at the white clouds, I thought, "Even though I didn't see the sunset, the scenery was still beautiful, so it wasn't a wasted trip."
Wang Hui automatically misinterpreted the sentence, saying, "Yes, it really is beautiful."
Looking at it this way, Su Jingjing is quite beautiful, and he's starting to look forward to what's to come.
He used to be so resistant, but now he's very happy.
He tapped a few fingers and said, "The sun is too strong. There's a room over there. Why don't we go sit there?"
"OK."
Su Jingjing smiled, eager for Wang Hui to make a move.
As she turned around, she glanced in a certain direction and, taking advantage of Wang Hui's inattention, waved to A-Ting.
When Li Hanting first saw his wife leave his sight, he was about to take a step forward in a hurry, but he stopped after seeing the hand gesture.
This is a thatched hut, probably built by nearby villagers for the convenience of fishing.
Su Jingjing followed Wang Hui in. The room was fairly clean, but what caught people's attention was that there was tea and snacks on the table.
After Wang Hui sat down, he took out two clean cups and poured water. "Jingjing, you must be tired from the journey. Sit down and have some water."
He then handed it to her.
Su Jingjing blinked; she dared not drink this glass of water lightly.
He pretended to look around, saying, "I'm not thirsty yet, I'll drink later."
Yu Guang noticed Wang Hui's reaction constantly; he clearly clenched his fists and his face tightened.
This further confirms that there is something wrong with the water.
The time was drawing closer, and Xiaoju would be arriving soon. If she ran into Su Jingjing, the truth would be revealed.
"Jingjing, is there a problem here?"
Su Jingjing turned her head and chuckled softly, "No problem."
Wang Hui was so nervous that he became incoherent, and his grip on the cup tightened.
A moment later, Su Jingjing slowly picked up the cup. The man opposite her gasped and deliberately dropped something just three centimeters from his lips.
With a "bang," it sounded like I hit a table leg.
He quickly put down the cup, bent down slightly, and looked around. "I think I've lost my keys."
"Can you help me look for it?"
Wang Hui didn't think too deeply about it, and simply said, "Okay."
