The dormitory was so small that Zhong Xinyi could hardly miss what they were saying.
Perhaps this is why they have different values.
Never mind, she should go in and wash up first. She's had a long day, and instead of chatting, she should go to bed early and get some rest.
Zhong Xinyi didn't expect to see Zhuanyanbao again the next day. When she saw his figure in the distance, she looked around in a panic and found that there was no way out. She had no choice but to lower her hat and try to sneak past.

Zhong Xinyi waved, a forced smile on her face, "Hehe, it's you, we meet again."
Gu Shaokai gritted his teeth, almost falling for the little woman's tricks again.
He strode up to her, leaned slightly closer, and said in a seductive tone, "Didn't I tell you not to hide from me anymore?"
This is... way too close!
Zhong Xinyi took a step back and swallowed hard. "I'm keeping my head down, aren't I?"
She blinked. "You must have something to do, so I won't bother you any longer."
She tried to run away after saying that, but the man seemed to sense her intention and grabbed her wrist before she could take a step.
Zhong Xinyi tried hard to pry the man's large hands away, but to no avail. "Let me go quickly. There are people coming and going here. It won't be good if someone sees us."
He glanced around, fearing that someone might be watching.
Gu Shaokai ignored her struggles and pulled her to a secluded corner, where he was all too familiar with the blind spots of the military base.
"What, what are you going to do?"
This was the first time Zhong Xinyi had ever seen such a secluded place, and her fear intensified. She reached out her other hand and placed it against the man's chest.
The fact that he can come and go freely in the military suggests that he's not just rich.
Seeing her startled expression, Gu Shaokai suddenly swallowed his words.
Forget it, she's so wary of me, I shouldn't scare her. I'll take it slow.
"Don't worry, I came here today on business, not specifically to see you."
Zhong Xinyi believed this statement because she felt that Gu Shaokai must hate her.
"Oh, right, wait here, I'm going back to my dorm to get something."
Since they've run into each other today, Zhong Xinyi wants to return the money and hope to wipe the slate clean.

Gu Shaokai was filled with anticipation. He loosened his grip, and the little woman's figure gradually disappeared ahead.

Zhong Xinyi stopped in front of the man, took a few breaths, and took out her wallet from her pocket and handed it to him.
"I'm sorry for stealing your money last time, I'm returning it to you now."
Upon seeing the familiar wallet, Gu Shaokai's face instantly darkened.
Zhong Xinyi misunderstood, "Not a single penny is missing inside."
Honestly, he's so slow and indecisive. I grabbed his hand and put my wallet on it.
Gu Shaokai held onto the hot potato tightly, the worst part being that she had misunderstood.
He asked through gritted teeth, "Do I look like a debt collector?"
Zhong Xinyi didn't react for a moment. Did she mention chasing after debts?
"No, I just feel bad about being in debt."
Gu Shaokai suppressed his anger and said, "Are you free later? Come out to dinner with me."
That was the purpose of his trip.
Have a meal?
Are they that close?
Zhong Xinyi hurriedly made an excuse, "But... the army won't let us go out."
"Leave this to me." Gu Shaokai picked up his wrist and glanced at his watch. "I'll be waiting for you here at five o'clock this afternoon."
After saying that, he gave her a deep look and walked out.
Zhong Xinyi was stunned for a moment, then immediately called out to the man's back, "Hey, hey, I haven't agreed to you yet."
However, he was surprised to learn that his training ended at 5 p.m.
Gu Shaokai sensed the little woman behind him jumping up and down anxiously, and couldn't help but smile with amusement.
They were greeted head-on by Chae Rim and Hu Liyang.
Gu Shaokai didn't even glance at them, treating the two like stray cats and dogs on the street.
Hu Liyang was stunned when she saw Gu Shaokai's handsome face.
So handsome!
"Sister Lin, wasn't that man very handsome?"
He continued, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he was not an officer in the military, judging from his clothes.
Chae Rim glanced at the man's back again, "He's alright, not particularly handsome."
She's a different type from Li Hanting, but she prefers Commander Li.
Hu Liyang secretly pursed her lips. Anyway, in her heart, he was the most handsome. She didn't know if she would have another chance to meet him.
At 5 p.m., the word "Dismissed" brought everyone to a sudden moment of respite; the training they had just endured had been truly grueling.
Zhong Xinyi felt it was acceptable, so she picked up her things and walked back to her dormitory alone, planning to take a shower before eating.
However, after taking a shower, she forgot about the appointment.
It wasn't until her roommate returned from dinner that Zhong Xinyi remembered this. It was already 5:30, and he probably wouldn't be waiting for her, would he?
To ease her conscience, she changed her clothes and went out.
The longer Gu Shaokai waited, the colder his heart became.
His disheartened eyes lit up again the moment he saw the little woman running away.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I just went back to take a shower."
For some reason, Zhong Xinyi wanted to explain.
But once she said that, it meant she was going to eat.
