Chapter 149 The Arrival of the Two Elders

Two days later, Li Hanting went to the station to pick up the person midway.

Su Jingjing was responsible for buying groceries to entertain her parents.

"Mom, are Grandpa and Grandma coming over?"

Li Yuanyuan tugged at her mother's clothes and asked, "I haven't seen my grandparents since that time."

Children are forgetful, but they can definitely tell who treats them sincerely.

Su Jingjing looked down into the children's eyes. "Yes, Grandpa and Grandma are coming to stay for a few days. An'an and Yuanyuan should take good care of them."

"Yes, Mom, Yuanyuan misses Grandpa and Grandma so much."

Su Jingjing saw that An'an's little ears were red, and she knew that the boy had also been thinking about it.

"Then remember to tell them later."

"good."

Yan Ling and the old man got into the car with bags and packages, clutching them tightly the whole way, as if afraid they would be stolen.

Perhaps I was too nervous, because suddenly I felt the urge to urinate.

"Old man, you watch the things, I'm going to the toilet." I really couldn't hold it in any longer.

Without waiting for a reply, he hurriedly ran to the toilet.

"This old woman." Su Xiang smiled helplessly, having already reminded her not to bring too much stuff.

As the train slowly pulled into the station, Yan Ling reminded the old man to make sure he took his things safe, as they were all specially brought for Jingya.

After getting off the bus, the two elderly people followed the crowd, their eyes searching around.

My daughter just sent a telegram yesterday saying that her son-in-law is coming to pick her up.

He might be busy, so let's wait a bit longer.

Just then, a deep, magnetic male voice called out to them from behind.

"To Mom and Dad."

"It's Han Ting." Yan Ling excitedly shook her husband's hand.

"Mom and Dad, I'll take it. The car is over there, let's walk over together."

Yan Ling smiled awkwardly, "Han Ting, I'm so sorry, did I interrupt your work?"

"Mom and Dad, I haven't delayed my work. Let's go back first. Jingjing is still waiting at home."

"Okay, okay."

It's a bit incongruous for a dignified army commander to be carrying so many bags and packages.

Yan Ling and her companion sat in the back seat, feeling slightly uncomfortable, as they had never ridden in a car before.

They only had the opportunity to sit there because of their son-in-law.

The scenery along the way was beautiful, and Yan Ling enjoyed it immensely, chatting casually with her son-in-law.

We soon arrived at the military region, slowly drove in, and came to the family compound.

Li Hanting picked up his luggage and led the two elders upstairs.

Seemingly hearing their footsteps, Yuanyuan tiptoed and happily opened the door.

"Dad, Grandpa and Grandma."

"Oh, let Grandma hold you." Yan Ling excitedly put down the bag and picked up the little guy. She didn't expect the little guy to still remember her.

Su Xiang walked over and gently stroked his grandson's head, beaming, "An'an has grown a little taller."

"Grandpa."

"Yes," Su Xiang, who wasn't good with words, responded kindly.

"Mom and Dad are here, come inside quickly."

Su Jingjing turned off the stove in the kitchen and came out to invite them in, otherwise they would just stand at the door.

"Hey, she's cooking." Yan Ling smelled the aroma of food; her daughter's cooking skills were clearly inherited from her.

"Are you hungry? We'll eat right away."

One last dish is needed.

"I'm not really hungry, it's probably just that I'm too tense."

Yan Ling rolled up her sleeves, ready to take over her daughter's work, but was pulled away by her.

"Mom, you and Dad go watch TV over there for a while. I can manage on my own."

Yan Ling then noticed that there was a television in the living room.

My goodness!

"Girl, when did you buy this TV?"

In the village, only one household has a television, and it's always bustling with activity every night.

But Jing's TV seems to be more advanced.

"Mom, this was bought by Ah Ting with his bonus the other day."

The son-in-law is indeed family-oriented; he gives every penny to his wife.

The exciting scenes on TV next seemed to captivate the elderly couple.

Everyone watched with great interest.

Soon it was time to eat.

When Yan Ling saw the abundant dishes on the table, she couldn't help but frown. "Girl, why are there so many dishes?"

We wouldn't dare eat like this during Chinese New Year, and it's all hearty dishes.

"Mom, isn't this to welcome you and Dad?"

"This will not be repeated."

"Okay." Su Jingjing said with a playful smile.

"This girl," Yan Ling smiled, her brows slightly furrowed.

The atmosphere at the table was quite pleasant, with everyone wearing smiles.

After the meal, Li Hanting washed the dishes as usual. Yan Ling looked at her son-in-law being very proactive and couldn't help but feel satisfied. "Girl."

While her son-in-law was in the kitchen, she took her daughter's hand and sat her down on a chair, lowering her voice.

"How have things been between you and Ah Ting lately?"

Has the relationship between the two people warmed up?

She was worried that Jingya wouldn't be happy living in the countryside.

Su Jingjing smiled shyly, "Mom, how am I supposed to explain this?"

"Girl, let me tell you the truth, your son-in-law is really good. You must cherish him and not do anything foolish again."

Yan Ling was most afraid that the girl's personality would revert to its old ways.

"Mom, I cherish my life now. I am very happy with you."

Su Jingjing held her mother's hand tightly.

She wasn't the original owner of this body, so she couldn't do something so heartless.

"That's good. Oh, by the way, I brought you a chicken, and the rest are all vegetables, peanuts, and corn grown at home."

Su Jingjing then noticed the crowing of a rooster in the corner.

"Mom, why didn't you leave some for my sister-in-law? She seems to be about to give birth."

"Don't worry, there are plenty more at home. She asked me to bring them over."

Yan Ling rambled on, "Mom originally thought she would keep the chicken for herself, so at least she still has a conscience."

Su Jingjing never expected her sister-in-law to be so kind.

"Mom, my sister-in-law is a good person. As long as you treat her sincerely, she won't treat you badly in the future."

At this point, Yan Ling got angry and glared at him.

"What?"

"When we get old, do you think she'll just abandon me and your dad?"

"The mountain came from my belly, how could it not listen to me?"

Su Jingjing sighed, "My goodness, didn't my brother have a precedent? Didn't he defy you before in order to marry your sister-in-law?"

"So, in order not to disappoint your brother, you should get along well with your sister-in-law."

Yan Ling thought for a moment, then pouted and said, "Mom knows."

That silly boy Dashan is really capable of doing anything for his daughter-in-law.

How could the Su family produce such a devoted lover?

"Ever since I listened to you, Mom has been really good to her. She doesn't let her do anything except cook."

They practically worshipped her like a goddess; which country person doesn't work in the fields every day?
