This morning, Su Jingjing came back from her run and saw her son setting up his chessboard in the living room.
An'an just learned to play chess a few days ago, and she's really into it, so she's always playing chess.
Hearing the soft footsteps, Li Cheng'an looked up and called out, "Mom, you're back."
"Hmm." Su Jingjing walked over and patted her son's head, then looked down and asked, "Is your little sister still not awake?"
Li Cheng'an nodded; his younger sister was still sleeping in.
School starts in a few days, and Su Jingjing wanted to let the children enjoy their few days of sleeping in.
But we still have to go back to the old house today, so I have to wake Yuanyuan up.
As Su Jingjing walked towards the second bedroom, she chatted with her son, "Uncle and Aunt came back today. We'll go to Grandma's house later."
When I opened the door, I saw the little one sleeping soundly on the bed, and I could almost hear her snoring.
Su Jingjing smiled indulgently, sat on the edge of the bed and gently called out, "Baby, wake up."
After calling her several times, the little one finally responded, slowly opening her eyes. Seeing her mother looking at her tenderly, she smiled and immediately opened her arms.
"Mommy, hug me."
Her voice was soft and sweet, making it hard to refuse.
Su Jingjing gently took the little one out and wiped the sweat from her forehead.
"Baby, are you awake?"
She yawned delicately, her eyelids opening and closing slightly. "Mom, I want to sleep more."
Su Jingjing was both amused and exasperated. She gently patted the little one's bottom and teased her, "Oh, okay? Then Mommy and Daddy will take your brother to Grandma's house later, and you can stay home and sleep."
Li Yuanyuan's sleepiness vanished immediately, and she opened her bright eyes wide. "Mom, I want to go too!"
Seeing her brother dressed neatly beside her, she struggled to get down, saying, "I'll go wash up first."
She had only run two steps when she turned back and said, "Mom, wait for me, I'll be right there."
Then I heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom.
Su Jingjing and An'an exchanged a smile.
The mother and son quickly packed up and waited for Ah Ting to return before heading out.
My mother-in-law said we'd have breakfast together when they got there, so she didn't cook breakfast today.
Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao appears.
As soon as Li Hanting entered the door, he saw his wife looking at him with a beaming smile.
Suddenly, his lower abdomen tightened. Thinking about it, he realized that he hadn't touched his wife for several days.
Su Jingjing smiled brightly, her eyes crinkling. "A-Ting, do you think there's anything else we need to bring home?"
Li Hanting closed the door, glanced at the things on the ground, and said, "Wife, just bring a piece of clothing for everyone."
Su Jingjing was speechless. "Are we going to spend the night at the old house?"
"Yes, I can take two days off."
Ignoring his son's presence, Li Hanting directly embraced his young wife's slender waist.
Su Jingjing was startled, staring at the man with frightened eyes, struggling slightly, "You... An'an is still here."
"Wife, see for yourself."
Li Hanting raised an eyebrow and smiled, gesturing for her to look at An'an.
An An was completely absorbed in his chessboard, oblivious to their actions.
Even so, Su Jingjing still felt embarrassed. "Yuanyuan will be out in a bit."
The next second, the little guy bounced out.
"Mom, Mom, I brushed my teeth and washed my face."
Seeing her father at home, she quickly greeted him, "Oh, Dad, you're back."
Su Jingjing pried the man's hand off and quickly walked to Yuanyuan's side.
"Come on, let Mom wipe the toothpaste off your mouth."
The little guy immediately stood still obediently.
Since Ah Ting said so, Su Jingjing stopped worrying about what to bring home.
Anyway, if I bring things back, my mother-in-law will inevitably nag me again.
Li Hanting drove the car, while Su Jingjing sat in the back to accommodate the children's requests.
Seeing the mother and her two children getting along so well in the back seat, Li Hanting felt like he was all alone.
With thin lips pursed, his dark eyes were cold and indifferent, devoid of any emotion.
After spending a lot of time together, the couple seemed to develop a telepathic connection, and Su Jingjing could clearly sense that the man was unhappy.
Looking out the window, trying to start a conversation, "Ah Ting, how much longer until we arrive?"
Upon hearing his wife's soft voice, Li Hanting's usually cold and aloof eyes suddenly softened slightly.
"About ten minutes left."
"Oh." Su Jingjing was at a loss for words.
Fortunately, we arrived at the old house quickly.
Li Hanting unbuckled his seatbelt, got out of the car, walked around to the other side, opened the car door, put his hand on the roof, and gestured to his wife to get out.
Su Jingjing glanced at the man, unable to tell for a moment whether he was angry.
As soon as I carried the two children out of the car, they ran into the house hand in hand.
Li Hanting took her hand and smiled, "Wife, let's go."
Su Jingjing was pleasantly surprised, "Ah Ting, you're not angry anymore."
Li Hanting gently pecked his wife's forehead. "Silly girl, how could I bear to be angry with you?"
He whispered in her ear, "Wife, from now on you can only sit in the passenger seat."
"good."
What a jealous person! He's even jealous of the kids.
Stepping into the living room, I was greeted by a chorus of laughter and cheerful conversation.
Su Jingjing greeted her family, but when she looked at her sister-in-law, she wondered if it was just her imagination, but her sister-in-law seemed much more haggard.
Li Hanting cut to the chase, "Mom, hasn't my eldest brother come back yet?"
Chen Shufang held Yuanyuan on her lap and teased her. Hearing Han Ting's words, she replied without looking up, "It seems that he had something to do at work and couldn't leave for a while. He might be back later."
