"Village chief, you've arrived."
These days, the village chief is like a kingpin; everyone wants to curry favor with him.
Yan Ling asked anxiously, "Grandma, is that my Jing calling back?"
Grandma paused for a moment, but she hadn't asked about that.

"Mom, it's the busy farming season at home, and you and Dad can't leave either."
Su's father served as the village head, and was busy with all sorts of things in the village every day, leaving him with no time to spare.
Yan Ling thought about it and realized that if her parents went there, her daughter would have to spend more time taking care of them.
"Okay, Mom will come over next time she has time."
Because of the phone bill, Yan Ling reluctantly hung up the phone.
