His wife was petite and adorable, and a strange feeling flashed through Li Hanting's heart. He lifted her up with one hand and sat her on his waist.
Su Jingjing looked completely bewildered, her hands pressed against his chest.
"Don't worry, honey, it's just a little bit of blood."
Su Jingjing insisted on getting off the man. Just as she was about to get up and put on her shoes, she suddenly realized that she was not wearing any clothes.
Blushing, she said, "Close your eyes, I need to get dressed."
Li Hanting dared not provoke his wife any further and lazily closed his eyes.
Su Jingjing waved her hand in front of him to make sure he had really closed his eyes before she felt relieved and got out of bed to change into her pajamas.
After a while, Li Hanting smelled the sweet fragrance on his wife and accurately took her hand.
How did you know I was coming?
Su Jingjing was surprised; she had deliberately slowed down her pace.
Li Hanting opened his eyes and gently pinched her cheek. "Have you forgotten what your man does?"
"Stop being silly, let me re-bandage you."
Su Jingjing moved closer to the man's shoulder and gently removed the gauze, afraid of hurting him.
The inner layer of gauze was soaked in blood, a horrifying sight.
That shows how intense it was just now.
Su Jingjing couldn't help but shed tears, which dripped onto the man's waist and abdomen.
Li Hanting felt that his wife's tears were scalding hot.
He teased her, trying to distract her, "Honey, if you keep crying, even if my shoulder doesn't hurt, my heart will break."
Su Jingjing burst into laughter through her tears. This despicable man had managed to make her both cry and laugh; only he had such a power.
After the gauze was completely removed, the wound was a bloody mess, and it made my heart tremble.
Su Jingjing endured the pain in her body, ran to the bathroom without saying a word to fetch a basin of water, wrung out a towel to wipe the bloodstains off the man, cleaned it up, changed the dressing, and finally wrapped it with gauze.
Throughout the entire process, Li Hanting seemed oblivious to the pain.
He tried to start a conversation, but remained silent with a cold face, as if he were performing a sacred task.
"Honey, are you angry?"
Su Jingjing then turned her head to look at the man, "I'm not angry. You can't do that again. It hurts me."
"Yes, my dear."
Smelling Jingjing's sweet fragrance, Li Hanting's mind began to wander again, but he knew his wife was very sleepy.
"Honey, come up here and sleep a little longer."
Su Jingjing hesitated for a moment, "The children will wake up soon."
Li Hanting simply lifted the person onto the bed with one hand and covered them with the blanket in one smooth motion.
"I'll take care of you, you can sleep peacefully."
Su Jingjing finally succumbed to sleepiness and fell asleep.
After coaxing the person to sleep, Li Hanting gently lifted the blanket, grabbed a piece of clothing and put it on, then slowly opened the door and walked out.
Yuanyuan had just woken up and was still groggy. She rubbed her eyes and wandered around aimlessly, accidentally bumping into a wall.
"Huh, did it run into a wall?"
Hearing his sister's silly words, Li Cheng'an suppressed a laugh.
Yuanyuan looked up at her tall father and grinned, "So it's Dad."
"Daddy, give me a hug."
He opened his arms, wanting to be hugged.
Li Cheng'an was shocked and quickly stepped forward to stop his sister.
"Yuanyuan, Daddy's shoulder is injured, so he can't hug people."
The little guy scratched his head, "Oh right, Yuanyuan almost forgot."
"Dad, is Mom awake?"
Peeking back, I saw that the gate was tightly closed.
An'an was also looking at her father.
Li Hanting replied casually without batting an eye, "Mom just fell asleep, Dad is with you."
"Alright then." Li Yuanyuan didn't think too much about it. Her grandmother had said that her mother was tired these past two days and that she and her brother shouldn't bother her.
"Dad, I want to drink some fragrant milk."
Li Hanting was stunned for a moment before realizing that his daughter was talking about cereal, which the children liked to eat, and his mother would buy for the two children every now and then.
"Dad will make you and your brother a cup each."
He had just taken a step when he suddenly remembered that he didn't know where the cereal was.
"An'an, where did Mommy put it?"
Yuanyuan raised her hand eagerly to answer, "Dad, I know."
As she spoke, she ran to the cabinet under the TV, stuck her little bottom out and rummaged around for a while, and soon found it.
She ran over with a bright smile, holding the bag up to her father with all her might, "Dad!"
Li Hanting affectionately ruffled his daughter's soft hair, then took the thermos and poured hot water into two enamel cups. Finally, he sprinkled in the oatmeal, stirred it casually, and soon a sweet aroma filled the room.
He called An'an over, "Take good care of your little sister. You can go downstairs to play after you finish eating."
"Dad, go inside and sleep with Mom for a while."
Yuanyuan was already holding the cup, excitedly smelling the milky aroma.
The little mouth was panting, trying to cool down.
"Dad, I understand."
Li Hanting took one last look at his daughter before turning and entering the room.
With An'an around, he felt at ease.
The girl on the big bed seemed to be sleeping soundly.
Li Hanting couldn't resist giving the girl a peck on the cheek. Looking at the hickey on her neck, a surge of heat rushed to his head.
So as not to disturb the girl's sleep, he gently lingered on her cherry-like lips until she made a soft "whimpering" sound, at which point he stopped completely.
Li Hanting smiled gently, pulled the person into his arms, closed his eyes contentedly, and gradually drifted off to sleep.
An hour later, Su Jingjing slowly opened her eyes, realized that she was lying in A Ting's arms, and looked up.
Hearing the man's heavy breathing, she felt particularly at ease.
He must have been very tired over the past two weeks.
Xiao Liu's original words were that the regimental commander slept less than four hours a day and was always on high alert.
Su Jingjing slowly got out of the man's arms, put on her shoes, and tiptoed out the door.
After a good night's sleep, the pain in my body disappeared.
The living room was quiet; she guessed the children must be playing downstairs.
Walking to the windowsill, I saw An'an playing chess with her friends, and Yuanyuan playing jump rope.
The little guy hopped and skipped, his face beaming with a bright smile, looking incredibly energetic.
Since it was still early, she took out her textbooks and started studying.
After studying for a period of time, she found that her memory was pretty good, and she could remember many things after seeing them only once.
Humanities are her strong suit, but she is slightly weaker in science. She focuses her main study efforts on science.
Once she gets into a learning state, she can become completely absorbed in it.
She didn't put her textbook away until she heard some noise at the door.
"My darlings, you're back so soon?"
Yuan Yuan opened her bright eyes and asked, "Mommy, you're awake?"
She pouted, "Where's Daddy?"
"Dad is tired, let's let him rest."
Su Jingjing pulled one of them into her arms and asked them about what happened at noon.
When I learned that Ah Ting was making oatmeal for the children, I thought to myself that he was quite good at taking care of them.
