After the children finished breakfast, Su Jingjing watched them go downstairs, where a group of children walked to school together.
She was the only one eating breakfast at the table. Liu Yang had just come over to deliver a message that A Ting had something come up and wouldn't be coming back for breakfast.
Perhaps because she slept well last night, she had a good appetite this morning.
Just then, Zhao Di came over and asked her to go out shopping, and she readily agreed.
Li Hanting rushed back as soon as he finished his work, only to find that he had come to no avail.
Upon closer inspection, I noticed that my wife's small bag wasn't in the room, and I immediately realized that she might have gone out to buy something.
Su Jingjing and He Zhaodi returned from outside, chatting and laughing, when they encountered Liu Yang on the way.
The young man, with a mischievous grin and a tense expression, said, "Hello, ladies."
Su Jingjing smiled gently, "Xiao Liu, is A-Ting finished with his work?"
Liu Yang said straightforwardly, "Sister-in-law, the regimental commander just went back."
Su Jingjing was taken aback at first, then the corners of her mouth turned up, "I see."
He said this to Zhao Di and quickened his pace.
He Zhaodi secretly envied the relationship between Su Jingjing and Commander Li.
Although her relationship with Yi Kuan was good, it was still something lacking.
Su Jingjing pushed open the door with great joy and couldn't wait to call out "A-Ting".
Li Hanting walked out of the bathroom shirtless, turned around in response to the sound, and met the girl's eyes filled with tiny starlight.
Su Jingjing touched the man's bronze chest, her eyes darting away. "Go put on some clothes, I'll put my things away first."
In the instant she turned around, her wrist was gripped by a warm force, followed by a gasp, and she fell into the man's arms.
Almost at the same time, the bag in her hand fell to the ground.
Given her height, she bumped right into the man's chest.
Despite it being the dead of winter, the man's body was surprisingly hot.
Su Jingjing looked up in embarrassment and annoyance, only to meet his deep, meaningful eyes. She punched him lightly, saying, "You'll catch a cold like this."
Li Hanting's Adam's apple bobbed, his voice carrying a hint of languor.
"Honey, I didn't sleep well at all last night."
"Why?"
She actually asked the question stupidly, but she regretted it the next second.
Su Jingjing bit her lower lip lightly, a hint of contradiction in her eyes.
"Sorry, I think I accidentally fell asleep."
Li Hanting feigned grievance, "Then you have to make it up to me."
Her starry eyes lifted slightly. "How will you compensate me?"
"Give me a kiss first."
A triumphant smile secretly appeared on Li Hanting's face.
Su Jingjing lowered her eyes and pondered, feeling as if she had fallen into a wolf's den.
She closed her eyes and quickly kissed his stubble-covered chin. "Is this okay now?"
Li Hanting stared intently at the beautiful woman before him. "Wife, are the two children more important to you than I am?"
"They are equally important, but children will grow up one day, while you are the one I will spend my life with."
Su Jingjing deliberately asked, "So, do you still want a third child?"
Li Hanting shook his head without hesitation. Two four-year-old toddlers had already taken over his wife, let alone a child who hadn't been weaned yet. There wouldn't be any room for him on that bed then.
He suddenly realized that having many children was also a problem, as they would constantly be a third wheel for him and his wife, which he couldn't stand.
Su Jingjing smiled, a gentle smile playing on her lips, "What if Mom and Dad urge us?"
"I'll take care of everything."
"It's so kind of you."
Su Jingjing liked this aspect of Li Hanting the most: he fully respected her. Although he could be domineering and chauvinistic at times, he basically listened to her.
She thought this was why she had fallen for him so quickly.
A successful man who doesn't act like the only boss at home, but instead dotes on his wife and loves his children, is definitely worth spending your life with.
Li Hanting curled his lips into a smile. "If I'm that good, will there be a reward?"
"A reward?" Su Jingjing was a little confused.
Don't only children need rewards?
The man then whispered something in her ear, and Su Jingjing immediately blushed, saying awkwardly, "The children will be out of school soon, and I still need to make lunch."
"We have one hour left, let's finish this quickly."
Su Jingjing glanced at him sideways: "I don't believe it."
When it comes to matters of the heart, men never tell the truth.
"You don't trust your man enough, you should be punished." Li Hanting made up a lame excuse, then carried Su Jingjing into the master bedroom in a hurry.
Su Jingjing patted his stiff arm, "I dropped something."
There was also orange soda she bought for her daughter inside.
The two children have been talking about it for days.
"Let's talk about it after we finish this."
Once the master bedroom door is closed, it's not just a matter of an hour.
A group of children agreed to go home together, but at the stairwell they started going to their own homes and looking for their own mothers.
As soon as Yuanyuan opened the door, she saw the soda that had fallen on the floor.
With a cheer, she ran forward, clutching the soda in both hands, and looked at her brother with a beaming smile, "Brother, there's orange soda!"
"There should be one more bottle. Let me look for it again."
Sure enough, there was another bottle in the bag; it must have been bought by Mom.
Mom is so good!
Huh, isn't Mom home?
"Mother--"
"Girl, come here."
Li Hanting stood at the doorway like a wall.
If it weren't for the issue of feeding the child, he might still be holding his sweet and soft wife and not yet getting up!
"Dad, you're home too!" Yuanyuan beamed with joy. "Where's Mom?"
Li Hanting said without changing his expression, "Your mother is a little tired and is resting inside."
